Corrine had mentioned setting up a study group way back in February, and then it was suddenly almost May. Knowing her studying needed to kick into overdrive, Corrine had decided to instead spend the week planning what snacks the study group would need. Her books were stacked in a corner because she did plan on studying today, but she hoped for some company to do it. Studying alone was just so boring.

Taking over a huge portion of the student lounge, Corrine emptied out the popcorn and chips into the bowls she had asked the house elves for. She had mentioned the idea to a few of her roommates and to Xena and told them to tell anyone they wanted to. She had sent a note to Cullen inviting him, and she had even worn a new dress just in case he did. Now all that was left was to wait.

Cullen was studious person not by nature but knowing it was what was expected of him. His parents had always pushed him and his younger sisters to be the best they could be from the very start of their lives. When Corrine mentioned she would be studying with some friends he had thought it'd be a nice idea to join. Not only would he get to spend some more time with her before the holidays but he might be able to settle a date with her for meeting at the park where she had scared him from hiding in a tree. He hadn't talked to many of the people in his year, he knew Corrine, Rose Holland and others but he wasn't the best with remembering names. He wasn't sure the classes people would want to study, or if they were going to be just studying on their own in the same space. He'd prefer the latter, finding often people were distracting and Corrine being there would be very distracting for the teen. Walking into the Student Lounge Cullen spotted the girl who had just been on his thoughts immediately. There was food on the table and Corrine with her books nearby. He paused and shifted the weight of his own books in his arms and then continued towards his friend, or maybe girlfriend. He wasn't quite sure, they'd been on dates but he hadn't asked her and she hadn't mentioned it. "Hello," he said upon reaching Corrine. He bowed slightly in the Korean custom but paused realizing he must seem strange to her and reach out his hand for a handshake instead.

The idea of a OWL study group was a really good one, and Rose was glad it was actually happening. She liked Corrine, and it was always easier to study when there were fun people around. Maybe it wasn’t easier to focus, but at least it made the whole thing more bearable. Studying with a group might also help her make sense of what to do exactly. There was so much to learn and revise that it really was hard to keep track of it al, and she hoped that Corrine and the other people joining wouldn’t mind helping her out if she got stuck. Rose was carrying books, notes, and most importantly snacks as she entered the student lounge Thankfully, it didn’t take her long to find Corrine. As she approached, she noticed Cullen was at her table too, and Rose smiled at them both as she dropped into a seat and started placing biscuits and chocolates on the table. “Hey Corrine! Hope you don’t mind I brought more snacks. I think we’ll need it to survive.” She said with a smile. Then she looked at Cullen and waved. “Hi!” She had met the boy last year when she had scared him as a joke. Looking back, it hadn’t been very nice. But they had talked after and he hadn’t seemed angry, so she hoped he didn’t dislike her. “Who else is coming?” She asked her friend curiously.

Ugh. Studying. Not something Xena was a fan of. She'd rather just take what she learnt in class and hope for the best when exams came around. But, Corrine had invited her to the study group, and apart from wanting to hang out with her friend, there was also promise of Cullen turning up. It was going to be nice to put a face to the name. Xena gathered every single book she had, before struggling up to the Lounge. She supposed she should have waited for Hayden to help her carry them up, but she wanted to be the first one there, and was surprised to see she wasn't. Xena dumped all the books on one of the couches. "I wasn't sure which one to bring." She announced, looking around for Corrine, seeing the people she was with. A grin grew on her face as she approached them. "I am!" She replied in response to the Gryffindor girl's question. Her eyes landed on the Ravenclaw boy. "You must be Cullen. So glad to finally meet you!"

Corrine was happy to see Cullen walk through the door and then immediately became extremely nervous. He'd accepted her invitation. Did it mean something or did he just want to study because he had a bad memory and needed to? She didnt know, and it was beginning to drive her crazy that she didn't know much when it came to him. "Hello" she replied, taking his hand for a small handshake. She left her hand there as Rose arrived, a smile on her face that turned into a flush when she realized she was still holding Cullen's hand. She let it go.

"Oh, Xe-" she began, but her best friend had just arrived. She smiled at the girl who was so very different from her in so many ways. As she addressed Cullen, Corrine couldnt help but grow a little uneasy. She knew every detail of every minute she'd spent with Cullen. What if she said something that let him know she maybe wanted to be his girlfriend? Corrine would be mortified. Blue eyes widening in her friend's direction, Corrine hoped she got the hint. Don't say anything crazy!, she implored. "Hey Xena. I invited everyone in our room, really anyone can join us. The more the merrier right?" She smiled at the three as they settled in.

Signy needed more guidance, her studying her always been easy, but there was just something about the pressure of the upcoming OWLs that were getting to her, she was stressing in a way she hadn't ever before, and though she knew that any hard work would likely pay off she couldn't help herself and feel the stress that she was. In studying and worrying more than ever. She had heard that Corrine, one of the gryffindor prefects was organising a study session, and though Signy didn't know her all that well, she had decided that she might check it out, see if Corrine wouldn't mind if she popped along to it. The girl had all of the notes and books that she could carry with her, and a few snacks for herself and others, an offering if she was allowed to join them. The teen walked into the student lounge and spotted the people from her year group with ease. She knew most of them because they were in the same classes together, others because they were additionally prefects together. She walked over and gave a tentative smile, "Do you guys mind if I join," the girl asked, "I brought snacks," she held up what she had brought in the hope then that she might bribe her way in. She was hopeful that they wouldn't mind her joining them, she didn't know any of them particularly well, but now was as good a time as any to start.

Cullen hadn't known that he was well known to Corrine's friends. Truthfully, Rose was the only one he recognized, Signy was in Astronomy her blonde hair and yellow robes had also stood out to him, but he didn't even know her name when she approached the group. Xena seemed to know him and he offered his hand in a handshake unsure what really to say in response. Corrine hadn't told him about her, he knew nothing about the girl. "Yes, yes, good to meet you," he said finally coming up with something and inviting Signy to join them. Corrine had just said anyone was welcome to study with them. He was still surprised to see all the food, he did not understand how that would be helping him to study. But he figured he wouldn't be required to eat unless he was hungry. He sat near Corrine, as she was the one in the girl he knew the best. At first when he came to Hogwarts he had had a crush on Rose, until he went on a date with Corrine to the dance. That had changed his mind, plus he was certain that Rose was with another guy, someone better suited for her.
