Open Oh boy

Marco admittedly wanted yet another pet, preferably another cat - yes, one more to add to the ones he had back home. Not that his parents were fond of the idea of him carrying kittens around the house all day, but they had at least agreed that he was the one who would take care of them during the school holidays. Naturally, Eva was ‘busy’ with trying to find herself a life out there somewhere, hopefully not too close to home but not too far away either. Marco did not want to be left alone with his parents until he graduated. He still had three years after all. And he definitely wanted to see his sisters as much as possible considering he was alone during the academic year. ​

Marco was pretty amiable, if he had to judge his own character, except that he had yet to make a best friend, or a smaller group of friends. Sure, he socialised with everyone, but he didn’t really like crowds all that much. In fact, he would rather have a better relationship with less people than just acquaintances. He almost got distracted by these thoughts as he tried to find his two kittens - yes, he had brought two with him. One just wasn’t enough. The fourth year kept walking, trying to find if Mia and Eli had left any clues or paw prints. So far, nothing. It wasn’t before he reached the courtyard that he realised his cats had found new friends. Two girls, though they didn’t seem to know each other, as far as Marco could tell. He raised his eyebrows but said nothing, instead whistling to call them back to him, slowly approaching the girls.​

Zhivka could not believe that she had reached the end of her time at Hogwarts, and still had only barely decided on any sort of future for herself. She had of course looked at many jobs in the muggle community - having taken summer classes every year since she was fourteen, but wondered if that would only squander the abilities she had been blessed with.

Sitting in the courtyard Siffy was reading a small book on her newest passion of work - teaching. She thought maybe she could interact with children, or try adn be their leader. The brunette however was distracted when a small fluffball pounced on her open book. "Hey." She giggled, grabbing hold of the little thing, and giving it a scratch. She attended to put the baby down, but up on her lap it came again. "Where is your owner, you cute thing." She said with another laugh, looking around.

 

[Alec Maxwell]

She was yet again planning a small party for one of her relative. The party planner of the family is again running down the stairs to get to the arts room where all the art supplies she needed was there. Holding her small notebook, she passed the Great Hall and opened the oak doors to the courtyard. In her haste to get everything done, she didn't see a little creature on the ground and tripped over it. Worried that Alec had hurt the creature, she sat up immediately and found the creature - turns out it was a cat - alright and was licking its paw.

Alec was more into dogs and ferret but this kitten was too cute to pet. "Hey, where's you owner?" She asked the kitten but of course it wasn't going answer her back. She sigh and stood from the ground, looking around she found another student that has a cat. "Hold up, I think I found your owner." The Hufflepuff took the kitten and walked up to an older student. "Hey, sorry, but I think I got one of your kitten." Alec can't help but pet the kitten.

Marco was still approaching the girls, though he also stopped for a moment because the sight was too adorable to bear. His kittens were meowing and rubbing themselves against the other students, which surprised him, because they usually didn’t get very fond of people so soon. Eli, he could understand, but Mia was a completely different matter. He was finally now standing in front of an older girl, who had Eli. "Oh, um - hey. I see Eli has found a new friend," he said with a smile, not sure if he should pick him up yet or not. Before he could say anything else however he spotted Mia, in the arms of the other girl, who seemed to be around his age. He was pretty sure she was in his house too. "There you are!" he exclaimed, then chuckled. "Er, actually, she’s mine," he said sheepishly. ​

Zhivka was surprised when a girl, who looked to be in her early teens, approached and stated she thought the cat was her own. "Oh goodness no!" The Bulgarian spoke with a smile, slightly embarrassed. "I just uhm stumbled upon..." She was mid answering how she'd achieved getting a kitten, when a boy approached. His juvenile appearances led her to believe he too was younger than her, but Siffy didn't mind. Many of the students she met at this school were often mature.

"Oh they are both yours?" She asked, hoping that at least the kittens had found safe refuge in the arms of the owner. "Sorry, I did not mean to snatch her, she sort of came right up. I might have given her back though!" She said, scritching the chin of the feline.

Alec frowned at the older student. These kitten should have an owner because if not she'll take them. She was about to suggest it when a guy her own age and might have seen him before, took ownership of the two. "Wow, and I was about to suggest to her that I'll take them." Alec stated. She started petting the kitten she had. It purred cutely and her heart just melt. The Hufflepuff girl wondered why she hasn't gotten a pet before while she's already fourteen. "Hey, I'm Alec and if you need a sitter I'm here." At that exact moment she stopped being busy.

Marco grinned at the older girl as she asked if they were his and since the kittens were a bit heavy he put them down after having caressed them for a bit. "Yep, they’re both mine, they’re also such attention seekers," he laughed, watching as they rubbed against his legs. Maybe they wanted food. Who knew. "I also might have, uh, accidentally forgotten to feed them today," he said sheepishly, feeling guilty. "Oh, don’t worry, they would have come looking for me eventually," he replied, trying to reassure the older hufflepuff. He chuckled at the other girl his age. "Hey Alec, I’m Marco. Pretty sure we’re in the same year.." he trailed off, realising he’d seen her in class? Or perhaps the common room. Whatever was most likely. "Thanks for the offer," he said with a wink. "I may just come to you with Eli and Mia if I ever need a break or some me time."​

Ilija was still conflicted over what he was meant to do. He could barely even look the girl he liked in the eyes, let alone actually talk to her. Plus, he’d failed to make the Quidditch team this year and he didn’t know what’s he was meant to do between lessons. As he headed out towards the courtyard for some air, he spotted his dorm mate with another girl in their year, and a second that was a little older, with the cats he’d spoken about. Of course he’d already met one of the cats and gotten on well with them, but the second one was with them too. “Hey Marco,” he waved at his friend, too shy to introduce himself to the other two girls he was hanging out with, besides he was probably just interrupting their conversation.

Shortly into explaining the cars, it became a party and another boy joined. Zhivka, both friendly and attempting to be a leader as she was sure she was the oldest, grinned. “Hi I’m Zhivka, but Siffy is easier!” Said the Bulgarian, introducing herself to all three of the other students. “You all look familiar, is it possible we are all puffs?” She asked with a laugh, reaching out to pet the other cat as well.

One of her brows raised, was she just realizing that she had heard that name before? Was she that busy with everything that she barely know her own housemates. Alec's confused looked was erased when Marco agreed on her plan. She smiled genuinely at him, it'll be a new experience not to be busy anymore. Then the oldest looking of the three introduce herself. She has the prettiest name, and she liked it. "Siffy is much cuter." Alec can't help but be girly at that moment. The young Hufflepuff was about to ask to carry one of the cats again when another came and greeting Marco. She tried as she might on remembering names but the only thing she could say was, "Hi!" He's cute but not as cuter than Marco. The brunette felt her cheeks burn, masking it with a clear of her throat.

Marco noticed another person join the group and he grinned at Ilija as he waved him over. "Hey! Come join the dark side," he greeted, then added, "we unfortunately don’t have cookies though," he said, attempting to sound disappointed. He was about to introduce the girls when one of them introduced herself. He raised an eyebrow at the other, the one in his year. "And this is Alec," he gestured towards the other brunette who maybe just forgot to say her name. He noticed the blush creeping onto her face and he squinted his eyes curiously, glancing back and forth between her and Ilija. At Siffy’s question he shrugged. "Yeah, it appears we‘re all badgers here," he replied with a soft smile, scooping up his kittens in his arms and scratching behind their ears. ​

Ilija smiled nervously at his room mate who encouraged him to join, but looked straight across at the older girl as soon as she introduced herself “You’re Bulgarian too?” It was rare to find someone else around here from his home country, but he would have recognised the name and accent anywhere. Suddenly the group didn’t seem so daunting, at least he had some sort of connection with everyone here. He nodded as Marco said they were all Hufflepuffs. It certainly seemed that way. The blush on Alec’s cheeks didn’t go unnoticed to Ilija either; he knew exactly what that meant given he’d spent most of his time trying to stop his own cheeks doing the same around a certain person. He just hoped that wasn’t aimed at him, he didn’t really know how to tell anyone he wasn’t interested. Trying not to let his brain wander, he turned back to the group and watched Marco pick up the kittens. “That’s Mia isn’t it?” He asked. Eli seemed to like him so he hoped the other did too.
