Open Not Quite on Time

Matt was feeling a little sheepish as he entered the library with the small stack of books. They were a bit late, as he had forgotten he even had them, and he was a little embarrassed to face the librarians with overdue books. But it wasn't the first time, and probably wouldn't be the last. He couldn't quite keep track of the many library books he borrowed in his office, as his office was also full of his own collection of books. Matt placed the books on the counter, glancing around to see who else was in the library on this quiet afternoon. He liked the library a lot, and it was probably his favorite place in the whole school. That had been the case when he'd been a student too, and he felt lucky that he was still able to use it as an adult.
