Christmas was always Eleanor's favourite time of the year. It meant that they would soon be heading into a new year and the second year was very excited to start all over again. But first, Eleanor had to enjoy her holidays which she was looking very forward to after the end of exams and the yule ball. School work had really tired the Hufflepuff who wasn't really that hard working at all. She hated school work and getting a break from it after such a long semester was very much rewarding. It was on a hot summer's day when everyone was inside studying for one of their last exams that Eleanor decided she would go outside. Not everyone was on the Hogwarts grounds and if they were, they most likely had their head buried into a textbook which Eleanor found really bizarre, especially since it was the perfect day to go out and do something fun.
The young girl happily made her way towards the cliffs, breathing in the fresh air as she came closer and closer, weary that she did not hover too close to the edge. Eleanor would never admit it to anyone but she was afraid of heights and was scared that if she happened to get too close that she would fall and no one would be able to see her again. The thought of that was terrifying but it was one of her secrets which she dared not to tell anyone, especially when many of her friends thought she was fearless. As the Hufflepuff realised how close she was starting to get, she panicked and took three steps back, almost tripping over a boy sitting down on the grass minding his own business. "I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, her face turning a bright shade of red. Eleanor stood over him awkwardly, her hands behind her back and her face shamefully looking towards the grass. She hadn't been so embarrassed in her life.
