Patriarch

The position of Patriarch is currently held by Parker Smith who is the last point of call for all decisions. Whilst the Head of the family makes the day to day decisions for the family, the Patriarch is in charge of making and keeping laws. Should a member of the family prove to be disloyal, or break a family law, the Patriarch is in charge of deciding a punishment, though they can be overruled by the Adviser if the punishment is seen to be too strict. Whilst the position of Patriarch is the highest and Head is just below, in times when the Patriarch is unable to be contacted, decisions affecting the entire family line may be passed to the oldest Adviser. The Patriarch is also in charge of an marriage approvals including but not limited to, arranged marriages and children born out of wedlock. The Patriarch reserves the right to remove or retain any living member of the family. Should a member die whilst in exile, they can never be returned.

Head

The position of Head is currently held by Isla Smith who is responsible for the day to day running of the family unit. The head is often responsible for deciding on education, geography and looking after finances and ownership of lands and titles. The Head may work together with Advisers to remove or retain a Patriarch, but can not do so alone. The Head has direct control of Enforcers and Maids/Stewards as part of their work. When the Head is unable to be reached for any reason, the duties of the Head fall to the second Adviser, assuming the first Adviser is working with the Patriarch. The Patriarch may not act as head as it may be a conflict of interest.​
