Charlie didn't want to be back at school. Frankie had transferred and abandoned her, Fleur was a traitor she couldn't trust, there were jerks like Mervyn and Lucia everywhere, and classes still sucked. The only thing Charlie actually liked about school was getting to spend time with Phoebe. That, and the food was pretty awesome. But classes were decidedly not awesome. She sulked her way into Charms and took a seat near the back, avoiding her classmates as much as she could. Charlie listened as Professor Haden told them what they would be doing this year, idly scribbling down the names of the spells, though she already knew she wouldn't bother doing any reading in her own time. She sunk down a little lower in her seat when Professor Haden began calling on people with questions, relieved that he never called on her. Once class was over she packed up her things quickly and slipped out of the room, glad that it was over.

Lesson One
Patrick couldn't believe he had survived his third year. Somehow he managed to scrape by in all of his classes and he soon realised the mistake he made taking so many electives. The French opted to try harder this year, especially after he received a long lecture from his father the year before about his grades. He wasn't sure how he was going to do that however, especially since he was already missing his friend Gabriella who had recently moved to Ilvermorny. Gabriella was his first ever friend and now Patrick was mostly on his own. It would be hard, but Patrick wanted to be alone this year anyway, mostly so he could focus on his grades.

The Hufflepuff walked into the Charms classroom by himself, taking a seat away from everyone else as he unpacked his belongings and reverted his attention to the front of the room. The professor began the lesson by writing all of the spells they would learn on the board. He liked knowing what was ahead as it kept him organised and he was thankful for this. As the professor began asking the class revision questions, Patrick kept to himself, not wanting to answer any of them as he simply wasn't in the mood. When the lesson had ended, Patrick quickly wrote a note to read his textbook before the next lesson and left with the rest of the class.

Lesson Two
After having done the first week of lessons, Patrick was looking forward to what the rest of the semester had to offer. He was glad that he had made the Hufflepuff Quidditch team again and was hopeful that they would win their first game against Slytherin. Being an alternate meant that Patrick didn't have to play every game and he was happy for this as it meant he also had a good spot to watch the game on the bench rather than in the stands where everyone was yelling and screaming. Quidditch was less distracting that way and Patrick could focus more on his classes which he hoped to do better in this year than last.

Patrick's next class was Charms and the boy followed his classmates to the third floor where all of his Charms classes were held. After spending three whole years at the castle he was only just starting to become familiar with where everything was and he was no longer tripping on his robes which his father assured him he would grow into. The French entered the room and took his usual seat, smiling slightly at the professor. He began by introducing the class to the Confundus Charm and Patrick made sure to write down its effects and repeat the incantation with the rest of the class. He didn't want to get it wrong.

When instructed, Patrick stood in front of one of the dummies as he held out his wand in front of him. He could feel his palms start to get sweaty as he looked straight at it, hoping he could successfully cast the spell. "C-confundo." he stammered, but nothing had happened. Looking around the room, other people's dummies had cast lumos which meant they had succeeded. Patrick tried two more times but to no avail. Suddenly, the dummy had cast stupefy his way and he had no time to react. He fell onto the ground, stunned, and his cheeks turned a rosy shade of pink as his classmates looked towards him on the ground. When the lesson had ended, Patrick was still unable to cast the charm and he sighed as he picked up his backpack and left the classroom.

Emilia had been very occupied with only one thing lately, and that was Derek. He had been on her mind since the Halloween Feast, and it had only grown stronger after the yule ball and her date. She knew she should try to focus on other things, but even as she headed to class or tried to work on her homework he pushed his way into her mind. Everything with him had been so wonderful and romantic, and she'd had trouble focusing on her schoolwork lately. Emilia had never been the most driven student, but she knew she had to try at least a little. She didn't want to disappoint her parents, or get bad grades because of a boy. Not even a boy as cute as Derek. Emilia took her seat in the Charms classroom and looked at Professor Haden. Charms was her favorite subject, and she looked forward to what they would learn this week. The spells were on the board, and Emilia noted them down on a piece of parchment so she could remember it later. The lesson was very short, and Emilia noted down which spells they had to read about for the next class. She packed up her things and left the classroom.

The yule ball had been strange for April, and it was hard not to think about it. She had realized she liked her best friend Norton. Like, like liked him. That was bad, and it was embarrassing, but it was also kind of nice. She had talked to Kauri about it, and he had assured her that it was a good thing, though April wasn't convinced. She had never really had an interest in romance, and she still thought most of that stuff was kind of lame. It was just also kind of what she wanted to do with Norton, which was very confusing. After a moment of hesitation, April took a seat next to Norton in the Charms classroom. Things were a bit weird between them, but they were still good friends. She looked to the front where Professor Haden welcomed them back, then reassured them a little about the OWLs. It was nice of him, though April wasn't particularly worried yet. He told them they would be revising spells as well as learning new ones, which was nice. April took the sheet with spells gratefully, and hoped she wouldn't lose it. When the lesson was over, she headed out of the classroom.

Diana was over Edmund. Well and truly over him. She no longer felt angry when she thought about him, or jealous, or sad. Not at all. She had decided that the new semester was a perfect time to move on from him, so that was what she was going to do. That didn't mean she would accept Analei's obvious interest in him, or take that lying down. If that meddling Hufflepuff wanted to date Diana's ex right after they broke up, she would get some consequences from that. Diana just wasn't sure what yet. She wanted everyone to know she was over Edmund, though, and was already thinking of ways to show that. She also kind of wished she could meet another guy already. It would be easier to move on if someone else distracted her. Diana took her seat in the Charms classroom and looked at Professor Haden. Charms was her a useful subject but could also be boring, and she realized quickly that this first lesson would definitely be boring. They would just hear what spells they would learn, and Diana noted them down quickly. After that, the lesson was over already. Diana left with her friends once they were dismissed from the classroom.

Arvel could have done with at least another two weeks off. He was in no way ready to drag himself out of bed that morning for his first Charms lesson, which may or may not have been a quick introductory lesson, depending on whether Professor Haden was feeling sympathetic or not. He sat himself down next to Analei and got out his book and quill, relieved when all they were asked to do was note down the spells they were going to be learning that semester. Arvel knew he should really stay behind and read up on them, or at least head to the library, but he just wasn't in the mood to exert more energy than he absolutely had to. Jotting down a few minimal notes, he packed up and headed out, wondering if he could squeeze a nap in between this class and the next.

Lesson: 1

The holidays had flown by in a flurry of time with friends and family, and Kauri was excited to be back to school. It had been nice to reconnect with his old friends from his muggle school, but the more years he spent at Hogwarts the more distant he felt from them, coming from a completely different world culturally. The excuse that he was away at a private boarding school couldn't explain how he never knew what was going on on TV or the internet, and as much as he enjoyed being around his old friends, it was a relief to be back at school, with no pretense to uphold and no feeling of loss at the things he didn't know.

Charms was always a class Kauri looked forward to having on his schedule. The spells were always things he could use, and the lessons were never boring. It was nice to do real, practical spellcasting, and Kauri had a spring in his step as he entered the classroom, taking his usual seat at the front. It was nice that Professor Haden hadn't changed, and he smiled cheerfully, getting his things ready for the lesson. It wasn't a surprise to Kauri that Professor Haden began the semester with an introduction to the things they would be covering this year, and he noted them down, excited to read ahead and learn more about what they did. The reminder of their impending OWLs made him nervous though, and Kauri took the list of charms to revise, balking a little at how long it was. There was so much to study. Kauri decided to start right away, heading to the library once class was over.

Athena walked into the classroom and went sitting at the first row as always after greeting Misha. The blonde didn't expect much of the first lesson, which was mostly an introduction to something. The blonde smiled as she listened to Misha he was always so nice and asked about breaks and other stuff. She made a list of the spells they were gonna learn this year, so she could read about them in the library to prepare for it. Cheering charm sounded great and fun. The lesson was short as she already thought but the blonde stayed in the classroom for the remainder. But after that left quickly and moved towards the library to study for the next lesson.

Lesson: One and Two

Lesson one:

After spending the holidays overwhelmed by catching up on everything he learned in the previous semester, Flavio was ready to start a new semester and focus his mind on new things. He was still overwhelmed and felt dread that the feeling would grow worse as the semester progressed, but he was trying not to think about the future of his classes as often from worry he would be to stressed to study when he needed to. Arriving to his first charms class of the semester, Flavio smiled at the professor and then chose a seat near the front of the room. He was pleased the lesson was introductory and got out his book to take notes as professor Haden explained the spells the class would be learning that semester, as well as their level of difficulty. Flavio assumed he would need to work harder in each of his subjects that semester than ever and he intended to do everything he could to learn each of the spells properly. He listed each spell in his book and made a note to go over everything later. Eventually the professor dismissed the lesson, assuring the class would pass easily if they did everything that was required of them, and Flavio packed up his belongings and left the classroom intending to make his final semester in school worth it.

Lesson Two:

The first week of the semester was over and Flavio already felt the pressure of his exams and soon to be graduation looming over him. He wanted to rest and give himself a chance to recover and decompress before continuing with his classes though he understood his classes wouldn't wait for him and it would do his grades more harm than good to focus on anything other than lessons, so he pulled himself together and made his way to his charms class, making sure his correct books were in his arms. As he arrived and sat down in his usual seat he looked to the professor and listened to the mans words about one of the spells the class learned in their fifth year. Flavio had read up on the spells he would be learning after his previous lesson, and already had an idea of what spell he would be learning that day, so when instructed he moved with the rest of the class out of the room and to the lawn, intent on paying close attention as he thought this spell would be useful for his intended career.

After the professor demonstrated the spell on what looked like an old muggle car, the class was asked to practice on the smaller car parts placed on tables nearby. Flavio immediately walked to one of the tables, vigilant of where other students were in case he needed to protect himself from the spell being cast on a part close to him. He spent the remainder of the lesson practicing, and eventually managed to cast the spell well enough to feel confident in his abilities. Given the destructive nature of the spell Flavio was a little disappointed he could not practice it outside of class because he did not want to accidentally hurt someone, so as the lesson was dismissed he intended to go to the library instead and study the theory of how the spell worked.

Lesson Three
As much fun as Ainsley had had at Valentines, there was something deeply bittersweet about her final ever school dance having passed. There was nothing ahead now but exams, graduation, and then the long, empty expanse of adulthood. What was she going to do with herself? Ainsley and Amber had talked a little bit about their future, things they wanted to do and where they wanted to live, but looking that future immediately in the face was terrifying, and Ainsley didn't know if she would ever really be ready for what was to come.

Last week's Charms lesson had... terrified Ainsley, there was no other word for it. She hadn't enjoyed the explosions at all, and it had taken her a long time to calm down afterwards. She had done the reading ahead, and was relieved that this week's spell seemed much less frightening. She paid attention as Professor Haden explained and demonstrated, relieved that she had taken Transfiguration, as the spell reminded her a lot of the conjuration spells they had studied in the past. Trying to apply the same kind of mental focus when the time came to practice, Ainsley cast the charm on the toy she had been given, pleased when it duplicated perfectly. After inspecting her attempt to make sure they were the same, she showed Professor Haden her efforts, happy to have found the spell so easy.

Lesson Four
Ainsley's final year of school seemed to be rushing past impossibly fast, and it was beginning to scare her. Her final semester at Hogwarts was more than half over now, and the time just kept rushing away. It felt like there was an impossible number of things she had left to do before she would be ready to leave Hogwarts forever. And with the amount of studying she needed to do for NEWTs there was so little time to do any of those things. It felt like she was forever bouncing from class to library to meal to sleep, occasional stolen moments with Amber and daily visits to the Wild Patch her only relief from the constant parade of things that needed to be done.

Reading ahead about the charm they would be covering today had filled Ainsley with a fresh rush of nerves. She didn't like blasting spells at all, the sudden noise setting her every nerve on end. She didn't want her grades to suffer in her final year though, so she had put on a brave face and steeled herself for the day to come, wishing there was some kind of earplugs spell she could cast to protect her ears. When the time came she followed Professor Haden out to the lawn, trying not to let her nerves get the better of her. She listened to the professor, but even though she had known it was coming, the noise when he cast the blasting spell was like a dagger through her brain. Ainsley jumped in shock and quickly blocked her ears, heart racing. She struggled to get her breathing under control, but it took a long time before she could bring herself to open her eyes. By the time she did it was clear that her classmates were attempting the spell themselves so she kept her ears blocked, doing her best to keep out the majority of the noise. It was only once everyone else had finished and left that Ainsley was able to uncover her ears, picking up her wand with a shaking hand. She didn't really want to try this spell, didn't want more of the horrible sudden noise, but she didn't want to fail either. Taking a few shaky breaths to steel herself, Ainsley tried to tell herself this would be different, that the noise wouldn't be a shock if she was the one making it. She steeled herself, focusing on her wood block, and tried to ignore the waver in her voice as she cast the spell. The sound of its impact made her jump and cover her ears again, but to Ainsley's relief there was a decently sized hole in the block. She had done it, and having proven herself capable, Ainsley saw no need to try again. She turned and left quickly, only feeling safe to uncover her ears once she was a good safe distance from the area they had been practicing in.

3.Analei was miserable, and she was sure it was affecting her ability to focus. The only thing she seemed to be able to focus on was her's and Arvel's sad love lives. Or - more the lack of them. Analei was actively avoiding Fourth Year Ravenclaw boys, Diana Holland, and hadn't really spoken to Arvel about their kiss. She didn't want to either - there was nothing to talk about. It was just a stupid game.
Analei enjoyed Charms, but she knew that it was never going to be just a theory lesson. The things that the Professor started talking about sounded really interesting, and things that would be very useful in life. Analei was excited to get started. Their first task was to write a note in invisible ink. Smiling, Analei just drew a smiley face to send to Arvel. Focusing on the Professor again, Analei practiced saying the incantation, before they were given the go ahead to practice. Analei was surprised to find writing her name reasonably easy, and before long it was written out. Grinning, Analei turned to try and reveal the invisible ink, which seemed to be harder. Analei began to grow frustrated, but she stopped herself, taking a few breaths before focusing and trying again. Eventually the ink was revealed and Analei grinned again, proud that she managed to get it done.

4. Analei was still struggling to focus on her studies, which was incredibly frustrating. It wasn't as if she didn't want to focus, and being frustrated about not focusing only made it harder, which made her angrier. It was a viscous cycle she was in, and she found herself snapping at people more often than usual. The blonde honestly just wanted the year to end, even though they were only in their fourth week.
The Hufflepuff had enjoyed practicing the charms they had learned the previous week, and was keen to show off how good she had gotten, but they were going to be learning new spells. Analei frowned when the Professor told them to not explode owls, she thought that would be obvious and only a very disturbed person would do something like that. She didn't think she'd like to try these spells on any living thing. Analei watched as the Professor exampled what they were going to do, before getting the marbles to try it out herself. It took Analei a while, but eventually she was able to grow and shrink the marble.

Lesson One:
The last semester for Anastasie had come and gone quickly. She was happy to be back at school however as this meant she could uses classes as a good distraction from her thoughts. Better yet, she had more classes to distract her with the new electives and Anastasie was quite interested in taking them. She promptly made her way to the Herbology greenhouse. She had done well in the class last year and was hoping that this year she could continue with that, even though the class mostly consisted of getting her hands dirty. She would luckily be able to drop the class soon and that would get rid of most of her worries about the class.

Ana entered the Charms classroom and took her usual seat in the room. She had done well in the class last year but knew that it would only get harder from here. The professor started the lesson quickly and Ana made sure to take out her writing equipment so she could write down whatever she needed to. The professor simply went over what spells they would be learning that year and Ana took a deep breath just thinking about it. It was a lot of spells but they were all very important and so she knew she had to learn them. She wrote all of the spells down so she could do some extra readings on them before heading out of the classroom and straight to her next class.

Lesson Four:
Anastasie couldn't believe that she was already halfway through the first semester of her third year. She had managed to keep herself focused during the semester and gave herself plenty of time to study for her subjects without any distraction. She had come to the conclusion that the exams were going to be tough and so she needed to keep herself focused, which meant that attending events that amounted to nothing in regards to her studies was definitely not for her. The girl made sure to pack everything she needed into her backpack before following her housemates out of the common room and to her next class.

As Ana took a seat in the charms classroom she didn't bother taking out her writing equipment. They would just be learning a new spell and so there was no point. She listened as the professor explained to them what they would be doing and watched as he showed them how it worked. She wondered why on earth she would want to use this in the future but simply shrugged as she went to collect a marble and place it on her desk so she could try it herself. "Engorgio." she said, pointing her wand straight at it. Her pupils enlarged with the marble as she realised it had worked. It was increasing in size quickly and Ana panicked, trying her best to reduce its size as soon as possible. It took a few tries and a couple of exploding marbles, much to the Slytherin's dismay, but she had eventually done it and she was happy for this. The girl left the classroom at the end of the lesson, happy with her efforts for that day.

Gwen was glad to be coming back to Hogwarts for another semester. However, she was not very excited for the classes. Sometimes they were just boring and Gwen wanted to do more than just sit in a lecture and writing notes that she may or may not use for her exams. Luckily, Gwen's next class was charms and she knew the professor never usually gave them lectures. They were mostly able to learn new spells each time and Gwen was excited for this. She made her way into the classroom and took her usual seat in the room. She listened as they were told what they were going to learn throughout the semester and was a bit disappointed that they weren't going to try any during that lesson. Nonetheless, it gave Gwen something to look forward to. The Gryffindor quickly left the classroom once dismissed, happy to be learning some new spells in future lessons.

As classes for a new semester were coming nearer, Sophie could feel herself getting both nervous and excited for them. She was going to be taking a bunch of new classes this time and she wondered how different they were going to be to the ones she took last semester, or if they were going to be anything like she expected. Last semester she was surprised by them and intrigued by how they all worked. This time she would hopefully be a bit more expectant. The Ravenclaw shivered as she entered the Charms classroom, smiling at the professor as she went to take her seat. He seemed like a pretty laid-back professor and Sophie was happy for this. It meant she would be able to hopefully become friends with him as he definitely seemed like the approachable type.

Soon enough, the lesson began and Sophie listened as the professor spoke. He asked them all to introduce themselves and Sophie sighed a little at this, having introduced herself so many times already in other classes. By this point she already knew everyone she needed to and was not looking forward to having to hear everyone introduce themselves again. Nonetheless, the girl spoke when it was her turn, mostly to the professor than to the class as he was the one who would benefit the most from the activity. "My name is Sophie Elliston. I was born and raised in New Zealand by a muggle family, but I have a cousin who goes to this school and another cousin who went here." she told him, knowing that people found it interesting that she had both muggles and wizards in the family. When the lesson ended the girl was thankful for this and quickly left the classroom.

Lesson: Four, Five

Lesson Four
Although he was good at organising and managing his time, Kauri was beginning to feel the stress of his OWL year. There always seemed to be more to revise, more to learn, more to do. The only relief from the constant onslaught of study was the few moments he managed to steal here and there with Rose. Every time they hung out he found himself liking her more and more, and though their relationship wasn't officially romantic, he still enjoyed getting to spend the time with her. Stepping into the Charms classroom, Kauri wasn't surprised when Professor Haden quickly gave them another test. He had made sure to keep up with his Charms revision, and felt confident as he went into the test, jotting his answers down quickly.

1. What charm causes things to swell/become larger?
Engorgio
2. What does Incendio do?
Sets the target on fire
3. What does Locomotor do?
Allows you to move the target
Once the test was over, Kauri listened with interest as Professor Haden introduced the spell they were covering today. He had done the reading ahead, and felt a bit apprehensive of this one. Loud, sudden noises were startling, and Kauri didn't know how he felt about this. He also didn't really know exactly how it was going to be useful in their day to day lives, like most charms were. He had never been one to do a lesson halfheartedly though, so he listened carefully. Kauri jumped, startled, when Professor Haden demonstrated the spell. He hadn't expected such an explosion, and didn't really want to have to practice this spell himself. To his disappointment though, they were directed outside to practice further. Trying not to let his unhappiness show, Kauri followed Professor Haden outside, and listened as the man told them what to practice on. When the time came to attempt the spell, Kauri wanted to get it over with as quickly as he could so he could leave. Taking a deep breath, Kauri steeled himself, and cast the spell on the hedge. To his both alarm and relief, the section he had been aiming at exploded at once, and Kauri sighed, glad that he had succeeded. He practiced a couple more times, not wanting to slack off and wind up bad at this spell when the exams came, but once he was certain he could cast it well, Kauri was quick to leave, glad that the lesson was over with.

Lesson Five
The end of the semester was rapidly drawing near, and with it, OWLs. Kauri didn't think he had ever been worriedbefore an exam before, but that was certainly the case now. Although he hadn't necessarily agreed with the concept, Kauri had been busy enough with his schedule that letting Tristan run an event for the Brotherhood had been the best option available to him, and to Kauri's relief, the event in question had actually gone fairly well, though he still had his worries about some of Tristan's intentions. Kauri set those worries aside though as he entered the Charms classroom, giving Professor Haden a smile in greeting. Kauri wasn't surprised to have yet another test today, and put his head down quickly, confident in his answers when he handed it in.

1. What does the Confundus Charm do?
Causes the target to become confused.

2. What does the Drought Charm do?
Dries up small bodies of water.

3. What does Descendo do?
Causes the target to descend.

4. What does the Bubblehead Charm do?
Creates a bubble of breathable air around the target's head.
With the quiz over, Kauri was excited to get on to the spell they were learning today. It struck him as a useful one, and he was eager to learn it. He got up quickly when Professor Haden told them to follow, following the teacher out to another classroom. Kauri couldn't figure out why a student would want to cover one book with the cover of another, but he wasn't about to ask, more interested in learning the spell. He watched Professor Haden's demonstration, and then the time came to cast the spell himself. Focusing intently, Kauri began with his vine, pleased when it sliced through on his first attempt at the spell. He was able to get through the rope in one cut too, but the chain took three attempts, before its end finally clattered to the floor, severed cleanly.

Lesson 2The second week started up as quick as the first. Viktor Styx was not at all shocked by it, but his busy schedule allowed him little free time now that he was practicing the art of reading minds, which would take a long time. The prefect also had his patrolling duties, which went by easily and silent. At least, on his part. He never bothered talking except to those that he trusted, which he could count on one hand, other than family. He trusted them blindly. The fifth year walked from the towers to the classroom that was next on his time table. Viktor enjoyed the theoretical classes since practical involved more speaking than what he wanted. It was the reason why he did not like charms, but this year, he was looking forward to all of the classes, regardless of whether or not they would be practical.

He finished the quiz in a short amount of time. Viktor waited for the rest of the students to finish up, and then they were going to be going outside. He got up, and he walked outside with the rest of the class, and they ventured out into the gardens where they could see an ugly little creature. And the gnomes apparently loved those every flavor beans for some odd reason. Professor Haden demonstrated what to do, and then they were told to go out and do it themselves. Rolling his eyes, he walked over until he found an ugly gnome of his own. He opened his hand up and the gnome came running for the beans. He dropped them, and took out his wand. Viktor intoned the spell as quiet as he could. The red light hit the gnome and froze it in place. Now that he managed to do it, he turned and left the lawns, since he didn't want to stick around.
Lesson 3It was in the middle of the semester, which meant that the OWLs were coming up, closer to the end of the year. The Ravenclaw prepared his bag with his school equipment, including putting his wand into his pocket in his school robes. He had an awful lot of studying to do. The worst class that Viktor did not like was Charms and that was because it was more practical. There was no theory to it, unless that changed this year. The rest, Viktor enjoyed more than any other class. Lectures were all that he bothered with his efforts. The other, he put in his bare effort. That was all that he needed, and he still made straight Outstandings. Viktor left his dorm and made his way through the castle and into the classroom. He took his seat and faced the front. Another day, another set of material to learn.

The Ravenclaw waited patiently for the class to finish the quizzes, and once they had, they were summoned to the professor's desk. The lesson today was over the spelled called Duro, and apparently they were turning things to stone. It made sense. They were being warned to not cast this spell on people, and if someone was under the spell, Duro, for so long, then they could die. That was very interesting, and he thought of some people that needed to be silenced for good. The spell could be reversed with Finite, so it was not too hard. He hoped that they were going to hurry up, and he wanted to get it on his first try as well. They were all given some cloths, and he flourished his wand. He waved it over the cloth, and Viktor intoned the spell. The cloth turned to stone immediately, however when he tried to reverse it, it took a few minutes before the cloth was no longer stone. Once it was time to leave, he left the classroom.
Lesson 4The fourth week always seemed to be the hardest for the young Ravenclaw to keep up with. It spoke on how close the holidays were, and it also spoke on how the exams were coming up. The Ravenclaw was ready for them, of course. Viktor was rarely unprepared for anything. That was why he did his homework and some reading over what the week would have for him. Viktor prepared his bag for everything that he needed and got off of his bed. He walked down the dorms, and further into the castle to find his way to his class. Eventually, he made it, and took his seat near the rear, where he always hid. It was natural as to not bring attention to himself. That was the last thing that he ever wanted. Viktor glanced up, ready for the class to begin.

Once all of the tests were collected after the mysterious small blast that the students have heard, they were soon told that they were going to be covering the Reductor Curse. Learning a curse in Charms, now that was something. This was going to be really fun for him. Viktor could not wait to use it already because of the demonstration that was shown, but apparently they were going to be going outside to practice the curse. It could hurt someone, but that he did not really care for at all. He followed his peers outside of the classroom, where they went out to the lawn, and they also found many hedges. Apparently they were going to be blowing holes into the hedges. Viktor attempted the spell, and the first time, it didn't work. Not enough force. He tried it again, and it worked but the hole was not nearly as big as the professors. It was half the size. He tried it again, and this time, he got it to the right size. He left the lawns as soon as they were dismissed.
Lesson 5This was normally the last week before the study lesson, depending on the professor. Viktor Styx did not mind studying for the last lesson. It was easy and made things easier for him for when the exams came. With this year, he needed it for the OWLs. Viktor packed his things into his bag and left his dorm, in absolute silence, which was normal. He walked through the Ravenclaw common room, not making eye contact with anyone. He did not need them. No one. He made his way through the castle and into the classroom. He took his seat and got ready for the lesson ahead. It would not be long since the professors did not really like to waste a lot of time. That was something that he was glad for.

Once he announced what they were learning, Viktor vaguely wondered what would happen if someone used that charm on a human. That would be rather painful, severing something off of someone. He stood up from the chair, and followed the rest of the class from the charms classroom to an empty one. Standing around the room where chairs with ropes, chains and vines. Viktor knew what he must do. He went to a chair, and he used the proper wand movement first, for practice, and then remembered the incantation. Viktor cast the spell, and the vine fell from the chair, in two. He then went to the rope. Once more, the rope fell in two pieces. Now, the chain. Viktor focused, and he said the proper incantation with the movement, and alas, the chain snapped in two, and fell to the ground. Viktor figured that since his were severed, it mattered not if they were clean cuts.
