Rose was nervous. She didn't think she had ever felt this nervous about anything this big before. Sure, the recent thing with Charlie was big for her, and she had been nervous about that, but this was big for everyone in the whole wizarding world. Somehow, the scale of what was happening hadn't really sunk in until this moment. She had gotten here early to claim the radio, and was now gathered around it with her sisters and a group of their friends. Rose saw a few other kids had joined them too or were nearby enough to listen in. It just made it all the more clear that this result was one everyone would have an opinion on. How much would change for them in school if she won? She really should have talked to Jacob Kingsley about it, but Diana had kind of ruined that.

Everyone seemed to grow quiet when the results were being announced. But that quiet soon faded once it sunk in. Rose gasped and looked around, first at her sisters, then at her friends. Had she heard that correctly? But judging by the many grins she saw, she had. Rose cheered and hugged Phoebe before turning and hugging Bee. The older girl had become a friend over the course of the year, and Rose was sad she would be leaving Hogwarts soon. No one in their group seemed to be quiet anymore, and while it made Rose happy, she hoped they wouldn't get kicked out of the student lounge or anything. "Wow." She let out, as she looked at the radio again. Her mother was going to be the Minister for Magic, and that would definitely bring a lot of changes. Hopefully, they would be good ones.

OOCOut of Character:
Anyone who is a friend of any of the Hollands is welcome to be here, as is anyone else who would notice the group listening to the radio and wants to listen/react too. Feel free to join!

Bee was not really one to get nervous much. In fact she had been absolutely sure that Claudia was going to win since the beginning of the campaign process, which may have been naive on her part, but that was simply the type of person Bee was. Now though, she had to admit she was a bit nervous as she listened to the radio in the student lounge with the other Hollands, though she tried not to let it show. Once the announcement was made, she couldn't help the huge breathe of relief she let out and she jumped up in excitement. "Yes!!" she exclaimed loudly, hugging Rose tightly, the Holland she'd grown closest to over the past year since working closely with her mother. Bee jumped up and down excitedly and repeatedly shot red and gold sparks out of the end of her wand in celebration. "We won! We won!" she said, using the plural 'we' as if it had been a team effort. Bee was a glorified flyer-hander-outer and probably a pest to her peers urging them to vote, but Claudia had been so generous in allowing her to join her campaign team as an intern while she was still in school, even getting coffee for her and all the other actual campaign workers was an honor for the Head Girl. Bee wished she could be with Mrs. Holland tonight, wherever she was, congratulating the woman she looked up to on the well deserved win, but since Bee's work had mostly been in the castle, it felt right to be celebrating here.

He knew that he should not have taken a nap an hour before the voting results would be announced, but Charlie trusted himself to wake up at least twenty minutes before they would so he would have more than enough time to go to the student lounge and listen to the announcement there with the Holland sisters and their friends. Realising what time it was when he woke up from the nap, the teen jumped out of bed and quickly made his way down to the fourth-floor corridor, hoping that he hadn't missed everything. Charlie got there just in time to hear the results being announced. He grinned widely at the news and walked into the lounge and towards the group of students listening to the radio as well. He seated himself on the each of one of the sofas and congratulated the younger Hollands first before looking at his girlfriend and grinning widely still. Although Charlie could not vote himself, as he was neither of age or a citizen of New Zealand, he still found it interesting to listen to the debates broadcasted on the radio. He stood up and walked towards Rose to hug her next, smiling and congratulating her on her mother's win.

Phoebe leaned back in her seat as she waited for the radio person to finally tell them the result. She was a little nervous, but not nearly as much as Rose seemed to be. Phoebe trusted that the people of the wizarding world would see how awesome their mother was. And when the results were announced, she grinned mostly because she had been right. Many people in their group started cheering, and Phoebe quickly joined in after Rose hugged her. The head girl, who had been an intern for their mother, seemed almost as excited as they were, and Phoebe grinned at her. Rose's boyfriend congratulated her, which she appreciated. Even though she wasn't as loud as some of her sisters, her grin was wide and she knew it would be unwavering for the rest of the day. Phoebe had little interest in politics, but she was proud of her mother.

Hayley had been greatly frustrated by being too young to vote in this election. She cared more and more about politics, and she was certain that Claudia Holland was the best choice, regardless of being her friend's mum. Claudia had policies that aligned with some of Hayley's ideas, though of course they were far more tame than Hayley's. So she sat around the radio with her friends, waiting with baited breath for the news. When the announcement finally came, Hayley let out a loud whoop. "Yesssss!" She leaned over clumsily to hug Rose, bouncing with excitement. "How does it feel," she said teasingly, "Minister's daughter?"

Diana was waiting for the result with bated breath, unable to focus on anything but the radio. Her friend Domi was here with her, but if her mother lost that would just be embarrassing. But then the news was announced, and her name was called as the new minister! For a single moment, Diana froze. Then she laughed in delight and hugged her friend. She was going to be famous now! She bet Domi was so jealous deep down, and that made grin even wider. She immediately regretted not inviting Edmund, as this would have been wonderful to share with him too. But having him here around all her sisters was a little too much, especially if her mother had lost. She would have to find him later and tell him all about this. Rose’s boyfriend congratulated her, which was nice she supposed. But she was way too busy thinking about what this would mean for her to really focus on anyone else here. One of Rose’s friends called her ‘minister’s daughter’, and that made Diana feel proud because that went for her too. That’s what people would call her from now on, and she thought she could definitely get used to that.

Alice huddled close to her sisters, anticipating the news. She was very nervous for her mother, partly because she knew how hard she had worked for this day. But she was sure the other candidates had worked hard too in their own ways, so that really didn't say much. She gasped when the news was broadcast to them on the radio, then whooped and jumped up and down. "Yes!" She called out, hugging Emily tightly before letting go and twirling around. She was so happy for her mother! Though deep down she felt a little sad as well. She wanted to congratulate her personally, tell her how proud she was and give her a hug. But her mother wasn't here. It was a little sad they weren't all together to celebrate this, and for a moment, Alice felt homesick. But she would just have to write her a really long letter to congratulate her instead. For now, she could celebrate with her sisters and friends, which was almost just as good.
