It was finally a decent day. Although Daisy could hardly complain, most of the time she had spent at HNZ had been good weather. But March had been cold and rainy, too much for her liking. Daisy had spent a lot of the last few days cooped up inside, driving some of the other students insane with her pent up energy, or her running around, so she was sure everyone was grateful that the sun was out, and it was warm enough to be outside. As soon as Daisy woke up, she bounced out of bed, put on her swimming togs and a dress over the top and raced outside. No time for breakfast! The Gryffindor raced down to the lake, apologizing to the students she bumped into on the way. A massive smile graced her face as she reached outside, the sun beams hitting her. Only stopping a beat to enjoy the warmth, Daisy took off again, running to the lake, stopping just in front of it. She took off her dress and tossed it aside with her towel, taking a deep breath as she looked at the still water. Daisy was used to waves, the beach, and used to swimming with her dog. The Gryffindor wished she had her dog with her, or her parents, but she needed to just try and enjoy the time she had at Hogwarts. Well, that's what her mother would have told her anyway. With another breath, and a smile, Daisy jumped into the lake; not a pretty dive that she had seen girl's doing before. No, if she got to jump in, she was going to bomb it! As Daisy lifted back to the top of the water, she ran her hands through hair, pushing it out of her face, hoping that she caused a massive splash. She laughed with sheer joy before laying on her back and floating.

Sam didn't often do outdoors. Trees and grass and bugs, they weren't really her thing, but by merlin she needed to get out of that stuffy castle. Ben was the studious one, Sam had never much cared for her grades, they weren't something she really worried about. She would be there to help and support Ben, yeah, but most anything else didn't really interest her. She liked dancing and just generally being loud, but that was about it. She didn't much need anything else if she had Ben. She was much more outgoing than her friend after all. To be honest, sometimes she wondered if the two would be friends if they'd not met in the circumstances they had. As girls they were the only ones around and so often relied a lot on each other. Both parents worked a lot and so they didn't have much else other than each other. Still, Sam knew that she couldn't have Ben all to herself all the time and it was for this reason that she'd elected to leave her best friend alone for a time. Maybe Ben could make friends better without her jealous shadow.

Heading down to the lakefront proved to be interesting as Sam observed someone removing clothing and jumping into the water. She vaguely wondered if there was something wrong, but when it became obvious that the girl was simply enjoying herself, Sam shrugged and jogged slightly over to the edge of the water. Shading her face she called out. "Hey, yo, girlie! How's the drink?" Sometimes she felt necessary to try and act like someone she wasn't but generally she was an honest person. This girl had strange habits though and so Sam just wasn't sure about her. "Why are you in there, haven't you heard the rumours?"
