History: The marriage between Ishmael and Larkana was arranged to help keep peace between the two families and ensure pureblood children. Soon after Sammael was born Larkana mysteriously died and Ishmael left Sammael with Valcan, Larkanas older brother.
Ishmael left for England in late 1981 where he began working in Knockturn Alley. He became a Death Eater when Voldemort rose back to power in the 1990's, helping quietly. When the Battle of Hogwarts took place he was conveniently busy and missed the entire thing, which helped him evade going to Azakban. He remained a Dark Wizard and continued to call himself a Death Eater along with a small number of others who also stayed out of Azkaban.
When Shane Stark was banished from his home he found Ishmael. Being his grandson, and therefore an heir, Ishmael took Shane in and was his legal guardian until Shane graduated from Hogwarts in 2019.
