Evan had decided during the holidays that when she returned she was going to get to know Hogwarts better, and spend more time out of the Gryffindor Tower. She had not even yet set foot in the library, not even when studying. She had done most of her studying in the common room or late at night shut away behind the curtains of her bed in her dorm. But she was finally feeling at home at Hogwarts, and returning to the castle had filled her with joy. She couldn't wait to get to know her home away from home much better than she had in her first semester.

She wandered around the library a little, feeling very tiny among the towering bookshelves. Trailing her fingers along one row of books, she remembered her childhood fondness of the story of Cinderella. When she was younger, Evan would often imagine whipping up a dress out of thin air with nothing but a wave of a magic wand and a bibbity-bobbity-boo. Now that she had some basic magical knowledge, she wanted more than anything to start looking for ways to integrate magic into her sewing.

For half a year now the girl had day dreamed about self threading needles, cross stitched cats pouncing across a canvas of aida cloth, and buttons and clasps that could do themselves up. Evan wanted more than anything to find a book that would teach her something, anything, to help her add some magic to her craft. She wandered around the library aimlessly for a time, not sure where exactly to look or what exactly to look for.

Sigurd was almost totally hidden behind a large book, and its size compared to the eleven year old made for quite a comical sight. He was totally lost in his own world- facts, theories, questions, equations and dates twirling and spiraling around in his head, a dream ballet sequence for Sigurd and Sigurd alone to enjoy. If it weren't for the footsteps trailing back and forth in front of him, he wouldn't have looked up from his book.

The sound of the footsteps slowly drew him out of his wonderland, his attention being pulled back to reality with each tap-tap, like knocking on a door. As whoever it was trailed past him one more time, he decided to peer over the top of the book, curious to see whose footsteps had drawn him out of his own world and back into the library. He realized it was Evan, and as she made her way past him he greeted his friend in the only way he knew how given their current location- "Pssst!"
