History: Born and brought up in the all-magical island of Aeaea in Greece. He's member of the large family of Stratis, one of the seven families that claim to be of the bloodline of the witch Circe as well from other famous Greek wizards and witches. His family has a big tradition as breeders of flying creatures and especially of winged horses. At the age of eleven he attended Olympia School of Magia, on mount Olympus, where he was sorted in the house of Poteidan, the house of resourceful and positive thinkers. A generally good student, talented in Quidditch and hanging around with the popular students of the school. Later he became a prefect as well as the Quidditch captain of his house, leading his team to a four year win streak. In his final year, he won the trophy of the first place at the school's annual winged horse chariot races. After his graduation, his father wanted him to take over his breeding bussiness as the first born and his mother wanted to see him a successful healer. Icarus, having completely different aspirations, was forced to leave his family to chace his dream of becoming a professional Quidditch player and travel around the world. His father's younger brother and his family was already residing in New Zealand and Icarus grasped the opportunity to visit them and stay with them, beggining a new life. He traveled on his broom through middle East, Himalayas, India, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia before arriving to New Zealand, having the opportunity to learn about the different cultures and magical communities of those areas. His uncles accepted him with open arms in their family and they offered him a place to stay. Icarus wanted to be independent so he send an application for the flying professor post which was opene at the local school branch and at the same time he decided to work at his uncle's breeding program of winged horses and gryffins.
He enjoys teaching to younger generations and he's ready to offer his knowledge to anyone who asks for it. Although he likes his job, he haven't forgot his ambition to play professionally for a team but his current job is a good start to his new life.
