How Long Have You Been Here?

'So many patients, god, so much work.' Thought Kyra to herself. She was literally
drowning herself in her work right now. The hospital census had gone up so high that
the nurses, along with Kyra had no time for even break. Something about a big disaster
happening downtown in Boston, that there were a lot of patient's coming to the hospital
in the number of masses. Running from room to room constantly, she grabbed her very
useful tool called stethoscope. She couldn't believe she forgot to grab it earlier and her
supervisor was getting mad at her for not having it with her. She ran her patient's from
room to room, calling the doctor's to hurry up from their lunch so that they can come and
look at the patient's. It kind of ticked off Kyra that sometimes, the doctor's would go on
a very long lunch that they would take literally two to three hours to come back. Doctor's
had earned their spot in the hospital by studying long and hard, but that didn't give them
the right to just dose off without even caring about their patient's. After quite some time
of running and struggling, Kyra was finally able to get back to her regular patient's to check
on them. She felt bad for them that she was not able to check on them as often as she
wanted to right now, but she at least got to talk to them. Next on her list was a patient
named Jacob, who had been treated with Cancer, and came back to do a regular check up.
"Mr. Jacob, how're you this morning? It's rather busy here, so excuse me if I forget
something."
Said Kyra looking at Jacob, while having her clipboard in her hand to note.

Jacob walked the streets before his appointment with his favorite nurse. Rubbing his head, he looked the street before crossing. His cancer was better, it wasn't putting him in any pain this week, but last week he had huge migraines, it could've been from the cancer but who knew? The brown haired boy walked into the hospital, the familiar scenery. He looked around, there weren't too many people but enough to cause a line up. He scanned around for the elevator. Jacob had to run to the elevator so he wouldn't miss it. He had to catch his breath on the elevator, it wasn't that short of a distance. Finally the door opened on the floor that he needed to go to. He sat in the room he was given to by another nurse. Jacob sat patiently in the room waiting for his favorite nurse. " I'm feeling quite alright this morning, and how about yourself?" He asked back at her. " That's fine." He smiled up at her.
