It wasn't every day that the Professor's were allowed to be silly, but it was finally the day that called for it. The Headmistress loved dressing up, and loved Halloween, so she had been looking forward to this day for awhile. The Great Hall had been decorated incredibly - Jack-o-Lanterns rather than candles, spider webs everywhere, fake blood splattered around and fake bats flying around with dim lighting just to set the mood. Ghosts were popping out, ghouls were haunting the room, and the Headmistress had made sure a few things had been transfigured into black cats that stalked the Hall. There were bowls of candy on the tables, and Ava couldn't wait obey her sweet tooth's cry for sweets.
Ava looked out to the students, barely recognizing anyone; the costumes were outstanding. She loved Halloween at Hogwarts, and the students had a ton of creativity that she loved to seem blossom. There was a bunch of laughter, a few shrieks of friend's being scared, the atmosphere was alive. The Headmistress had decided to dress as a Queen this year. Ava walked up to the podium, cleared her throat, wanting to get the introduction over with so she could eat. "Welcome you weird and wonderful creatures of Hogwarts! You guys all look so super amazing, I cannot wait for the Costume Contest! But before we head onto that, feel free to stuff your faces with food and candy - however we aren't responsible for your tummy aches!" Ava laughed. "Remember to enjoy! Happy Halloween everyone!"
