Leonardo had been getting settled back into school life. School was so much easier than being at home. His grandfather certainly had his ideas about how it should be done, and no matter what Leo thought that was how it was. He had much lonelier holidays than most and coming back to school this time around had been telling of that fact. He had friends, two whole friends at school, but beyond that there was usually always someone willing to speak to. But at home his grandfather had never been a man of much conversation. He didn't have anyone to connect to, and even few to spend the time with. His grandfather had never allowed him to go to anyone's house or bring anyone home. It just all meant that as the first week was drawing to a close and people were excited talking about what they were doing. He had come to study in the great hall, in the period between the end of classes for the day and dinner. The hall was abuzz with noise, and given how silent his holiday had been, though most might find it difficult to work, Leonardo had a ghost of a smile on his features as he worked. It was nice to be back, nice to be surrounded by others and not so alone.
