Nicole had brought her cat, Dinah up to the student lounge with her, hopeful that spending more quality time together would encourage her to actually want to enjoy sitting with her. So far, Nicole was almost convinced Dinah only spent anytime with her at all because the dungeons could be so chilly. She'd brought a selection of craft supplies, intent on making Jenna a friendship bracelet. Nicole loved the one Jenna had given her over Valentine's and it wasn't right for Jenna to have made her own.

So far, Dinah was staying mostly close, watching Nicole intently as she selected the right coloured threads, but as soon as Nicole actually started trying to braid anything together, she realized perhaps Dinah was not the ideal craft partner today. "Dinah, Dinah please," She said, aggrieved as she tried to hold the in-progress bracelet away from the cat's swatting paws. "This isn't for you, okay?" She said firmly, groaning when Dinah continued her swatting, unpersuaded.

Ajaccio had been thinking about his studies, mostly as the electives fair hadn’t really helped him figure out what he wanted to do with his live, in his mind it had only added to the confusion, a part of him wanted to do well, but the other part of him was trying to figure out what he’d be working towards. His future had never been something he’d thought much about. The ravenclaw had always imagined that he’d travel forever, that when he got his education he would just go back to that, but he realised there was no given to that being the case. He’d come to the student lounge, in the hopes to maybe do some of the homework which had been assigned that he hadn’t so much as looked at yet. He immediately however was distracted before he even got started when he spotted Nicole, and what he could only assume was her cat. He hadn’t seen much of her since the dance, but he had wanted to. He walked over, ”Hey Nicole,” he greeted, getting close enough to see what she was doing, it seemed to be a bracelet or something. ”Is this cat yours?” he reached out and tentative went to touch the cat. He had never had a pet of his own, but he always enjoyed being around them when he could be.

Dinah had managed to get ahold of a few of Nicole's spare strings that had been laying on the table and was now gainfully engaged with batting those again. Nicole sighed, but decided that perhaps the sacrifice was worth being able to work more on Jenna's bracelet in peace. "You're worse than Ryan," She muttered, glancing up when she spotted Ajax approaching. "Hey! Yeah, this is Dinah, she's kind of a brat but she's so pretty," Nicole said, giving Dinah a despairing yet indulgent look as the fluffy, white cat knocked a few of the beads she'd brought up off the table before sighing. "How's it going? I'm making some friendship bracelets if you wanna join. As your friend mentor, I can assure you it's a very important part of being friends," She said brightly, scooting over so there was bit more room if Ajax wanted to join. Nicole hadn't exactly felt awkward around him since the dance, but she could feel herself analyzing every move she made around Ajax now, and hoped maybe she'd be less weird today since she had something to do with her hands. And Dinah around too to keep her busy.

Ajaccio looked at the fluffy white cat, and just smiled, ”Dinah, she’s so fluffy,” he said, watching the cat as it knocked around a few beads. He took a seat next to Nicole, but his attention was mostly focused on Dinah the cat. He couldn’t help but reach out to her, and touch the fluffy fur. He couldn’t help but try to knock the beads about too. ”Good!” he replied to Nicole, finally looking to what she was doing. He had a friendship bracelet, Andy had given one to him, but he had never given one back. ”Why haven’t you given me one?” he joked with her lightly, he didn’t really need a bracelet for his friendship with Nicole, just being able to sit with her like this was more than enough. But if course since he hadn’t really ever stuck around long enough for friends to really seem him as a permanent fixture, then why would they bother with friendship bracelets. ”How are they made then? Is it a special level of friendship skill I haven’t unlocked yet?” The boy smiled, ”Shall I just distract Dinah?”

"She is the fluffiest," Nicole said fondly, smiling even as Dinah proceeded to scatter more of the beads across the table and onto the floor. She flushed when Ajax asked why she hadn't given him a friendship bracelet, busying herself with the one she was working on to give her time to think. "I'm working on it," She decided primly. "I just haven't been able to pick the right colours, blue seemed too obvious," She said, figuring she could work on Ajax's once she'd finished Jenna's. Then she'd have to work on one for Iris and Emma too, but she had time as long as Dinah didn't destroy all her supplies first. "Colours are very important in friendship bracelet making," She told him sagely. "If mostly just knowing how to braid, I can show you if you want," Nicole said, showing Ajax the bracelet she had in progress and squinting at Dinah in warning as the movement caught the cat's eye. "If you can control her somehow, by all means, please," She said wearily. She loved having Dinah, but Nicole was wondering if she somehow didn't have whatever secret gene it was that made cats like you or even just listen to you.

Ajaccio smiled a little at the cat. He pulled a seat towards him and just sat down. His gaze on Nicole as he laughed lightly, ”You don’t have to,” he would of course accept one, but he didn’t expect one. If she did then he was happy to get it, if she didn’t then he’d be happy too. He was more focused on the cat that was playing with some of the supplies. He nodded as she said that colours were very important. He looked towards what she’d done and noted the colours, noted the pattern of the bracelet that she was making. He thought about learning how to make one, he was sure that he could braid but he didn’t particularly think they’d both be able to with this cat sitting around. So instead he just decided to mess around with the cat inside. ”What happens if you break a friendship bracelet?” he asked with a joking tone, he did of course think it was important to look after the things given to you by others, but he also thought if he was ever given one, that with the nature of his breaks he’d be likely to break them. He had a hand on the cat, running his fingers through the fluffy hair and was tapping on the table in a manner to get the cat’s attention. Something he’d seen other people do.
