Kira hadn't wondered into the conglomerated arts room yet. She'd been meaning to, but she'd been so caught up in studies she hadn't found the time. The room itself was surprisingly empty when she arrived, and that made her feel a bit better. She'd only had a few months to learn before coming to school, but with her insomnia, she'd had six hours a night, every night, for three months to learn. And for a quick study like Kira, 91 nights was more than enough to learn how to read sheet music and be able to play a guitar.
Maybe not expertly, but well enough for an eleven year old. She found a rather pretty acoustic quickly enough. She picked it up and sat down, marveling at how it seemed to shrink down to fit her size. She strummed quietly, almost cautiously. The instrument was perfectly in tune.
She smiled brightly, and give confidence in her solitude, she began to play a pretty melody her sister hummed when she was working in the garden.
