Can't Believe I have To Do This

Brodie mumbled dark things under his breath as he walked through Obsidian Harbour with his cousin. He couldn't believe that his uncle was making him take her to and from work and watch her in between to make sure she didn't go anywhere. The only thing that made this a little bit bearable was the fact that Arisa hated this just as much as he did. Finally they were at Gladrags he pushed her in the store and started walking around the harbor. Once he was finally at the beach Brodie sat down at the sand and thought to himself what the hell he was supposed to do all day.

Rosemarie was walking through the Obsidian Harbour, dragging her six year old cousin behind her. Her Uncle was busy with her father all day and her aunt was doing who knows what so Rosemarie was stuck with her cousin Amber all day long. Amber was licking an icecream and babbling quite happily, with a sigh she nodded. "Yes Amber." She sighed in agreement, not looking where she was going.

She accidentally stumbled into a boy a few years older and fell down to the ground. She looked up and struggled to get up, her heels causing a problem. "I'm so sorry!" She apologised fervently, her cheeks turning bright red. The boy was actually pretty cute, and now she had lost any chance she had with him by making a fool of herself.

Brodie was just about to get up and go to get ice cream or something when someone bumped into him and fell to the ground herself. He couldn't help but give out a small laugh, "Its okay... No harm done" he replied. Brodie had actually surprised himself a little with that one, usually he would have done something really nasty to her. Brodie looked over to the younger girl and mumbled a hello to both of them.

Rosemarie mumbled a hello back, her face still red in embarrassment. "I'm Rosemarie." She said finally, smiling tentatively at the boy. Maybe she hadn't made such a fool of herself as she had first thought. 'Damn you Rosemarie! She cursed herself. 'It's your first time here without your father and you make a fool of yourself in front of a cute boy?' Her blush was fading slowly as she gazed steadily at the boy standing in front of her.
