Dressed into a sharp, navy blue suit, Rhexenor was just escorted to a waiting room by a staff member of the Frost Academy. He was advised to wait there before he was left alone, the shut office door attesting to the directors unavailability at that moment. He left his briefcase at the foot of the padded chair with carved back that he was offered to sit but he went with a confident stride towards a window.
The academy's grounds were empty, with all the students attending classess. Numerous stand towers with waving flags in the distance, made him wonder how many Quidditch pitches boasted the academy.

Rhexenor wasn't the biggest Quidditch fan and certainly couldn't picture himself started a career in education. The sport wasn't that popular at the country he was coming from but he had to follow orders or his sponsors were going to terminte their contracts and lose the next championship. As a professional duelist and last year's European champion, Rhex was very much dependent on sponshorships, the only maybe similarity with professional Quidditch players. He had found himself involved with some wealthy and much powerful individuals while he saw his career skyrocketing. But their assistance never came free. They had given him a mission that he had no other choice but to accept if he didn't want to find himself again at the bottom.

Even the whole collaboration idea with the Frost Academy, to create a first-time tournament of aerial dueling, was their idea. He was a mere tool but at the same time, the whole mission had also a very personal aspect as well. The people that were backing him up had developed an extensive report of the dueling concept while flying on brooms. Everything was included. Detailes classes' material, safety and protective measures, a fully organized tournament scheme with timeframes and everything. Rhex was going to be a tutor and the moderator of the event. But at the same time he was going to be there to observe and gather information.

Somewhere in the back of his mind he heard the office's door opening and he turned around from the window to face the academy's director for the first time.

Kida had been contacted about meeting with someone to discuss bringing a new form of curriculum to her academy, while they taught all disciplines of magic she was always interested in hearing about new ones, She wanted to teach her students everything she could so not only were they phenomenal on the broom but their education was equally as impressive. Sitting in her office the window behind her let in a warm stream of sunlight as she went over some papers from students who had request she preview their first draft on a transfiguration assignment, as once previously being a Transfiguration Professor she was always more than happy to assist, and of course she was an Animagus herself, she wondered if she should offer the opportunity to learn the Animagus ability to her students, although a complicated process the benefits could help them later in life.
She traced the feather of her quill along her jaw line when she heard a soft tap at her door
'Come' she replied looking towards the door as one of the other staff members let her know her meeting had arrived. Kida looked at the time, she had been a bit distracted but thankfully the man she was meeting with was a little bit early. 'Thank you Gracie' she smiled as she heard her office door click shut again.
Shuffling the papers together she placed them in her in box facing down and organized her desk, although she had been a Professor and a Quidditch Professional for years she still always faced a bunch of people who didn't think she could manage an academy, she wouldn't give anyone a reason to doubt her.

Standing up from her desk she adjusted her hair and opened the two doors to her office, and went towards the small waiting Area
'Hi there, Pleasure to meet you. I'm Kida Frost' she extended her hand for the man to shake, she studied his build and his movement as he took her hand, he didn't seem to have the build of a Quidditch player, but looks can be deceiving. 'Welcome to Frost Academy' The Quidditch Professional was very proud of her school, it was years in the making after she stepped down from teaching she discovered that she had missed it greatly and now with her eldest daughter joining the team she realised that she should eventually consider retiring from the pitch, but her love for the sport ran deep that she decided to found an Academy.
After greeting she made a gesture for the man to follow her
'If you'd like we can go into my office, it's a bit more private and we can discuss your proposal, unless you would like a tour of the grounds first?'

Rhex was fully aware of who was the director of Frost Academy and had made a thorough research about her past and her achievements. But when the woman appeared before him, he acted like it was the first time he laid his eyes on her. "Pleasure to finally meet you." His deep voice firm and confident. The two of them had exchanged a few owls before this meeting. "Rhexenor Laspas. You can call me Rhex." He returned the handshake. maintaining eye contact. His eyes glistened brightly, cold and metallic. Rhex had to admit to himself that she was even more attractive in person and what she had managed to achieve in her career was adding to her charm. "Thanks for having me." He said and released the lingering handshake. "I must admit I haven't heard or seen anything similar close to your academy." He admitted genuinely. The specialty of her academy was actually really convenient and had helpted him to come in contact with her.

Rhex wasn't in rush, they could talk first. "Sure, let's discuss any querries you or I might have." He flashed a smile and went to pick up his briefcase before following her to her office.

Kida was always curious the history behind the names of the people she met, being a muggle born she was used to very mundane names like Peterson or Smith but wizards always had the more interesting first and last names, and almost always with much meaning behind it. Kida held eye contact with a man and her hazel eyes flickered slightly with gold undertones she hadn't seen many people with grey eyes the in fact the only two people she knew with this trait was her deceased husband Icarus and her son Leonidas, and of course the Stratis family tree. Kida brushed off the coincidence and flashed the man a warm smile, It had been a long time since her husband had passed and even though she missed him greatly his legacy lived on in their son who attended the Academy.
'I do have to admit myself, when I thought about creating the Academy I was surprised that nothing like this had been done before; Well nothing that also included basic schooling' Rhex suggested having a discussion first in her office and she nodded, turning to lead the way.

'So, as you may or may not know, we specialize in flying and our main focus is training elite Quidditch players, Students who have a passion for the sport' Kida began as she lead the man to her office and closed the double doors behind them, 'We also have some students who enjoy partaking in Broom racing, and other aerial activities. I don't think you'd find a bunch of students more skilled at flying than these' Moving towards two couches and a coffee table she gestured for Rhex to take a seat 'Please' she offered 'Would you like some Water? Tea, Coffee?' she added moving to a cupboard to fix herself a cup of tea.

Rhex followed the woman into her offic, scanning the room as he was led towards a cosy lounge. At the same time he was listening carefully to her words.
"That is exactly the reason why I contacted you when I learned about your academy. The activity I am trying to popularize will certainly need good flying skills" He confessed that the reason they were going to collaborate wasn't incidental. Even less incidental than what she might believed.

"Thank you." He smiled and unbuttoned his suit jacket to have a seat, setting his briefcase down between his feet.
"A cup of black coffee would be great if it's not inconvenient." He replied as he observed her movements as she walked over to a cupboard, a habit he had as a duelist.
"You seem to have done a great job. Inspiring actually. Maybe one day I will open my own academy focusing on my field of expertise." He complimented and Rhex wasn't a speaker of empty or insincere flattery.

Intending to carry on their conversation while she was preparing the beverages, Rhex remembered about her Quidditch career as well.
"I must admit I am not the well versed when it comes to Quidditch but I know you are also a captain and an owner of a team. Are you still playing?" He asked her while adjusting his silver ring on his thumb.

'Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it' she replied to the compliments about her academy she was Interested in asking his thoughts an Academy with a different specialty but the conversation moved forward before she had the chance to ask.
Fixing her guest a cup of black coffee she carried it along with her tea and placed his coffee on the table in front of him to avoid the awkwardness of trying to grab a hot coffee cup being held in front of him. She took a seat opposite him and took a sip of her tea as Rhex talked about her Quidditch career, she nodded through her sip and placed the cup on the table in front of her.
'Correct, I'm still playing, I've probably only got a few good years left in me though' she chuckled at her own statement, she had been a Quidditch player since 2028 and now she was thinking it was time to consider stepping back professionally and transitioning into just coaching and teaching. 'You never went to any Quidditch games when you were a boy?' she asked, most Wizards lived and breathed Quidditch during their schooling years, some more than others and now the ones who did had a place they could enroll and be around students who shared the interest.

Kida leaned forward and took a sip
'I must ask then, How's your flying ability?' she reached forward and picked up her tea cup again and took another sip keeping eye contact with the man opposite her, she was curious how he intended on introducing or even teaching Aerial Dueling to her students if he couldn't demonstrate it himself, Especially at the flying ability most of her students were at.

Rhex smiled back at Kida's comment about the twilight of her professional career as a Quidditch player. This wasn't different for the majority of professional duelists that resigned around their late thirties when they had made a fortune. This of couse if they hadn't seriously injured or died until then.
He took the mug from the table after thanking the witch once more and blew on his hot coffee a couple of times to cool it down.
"A few, yes. Where I come from, Quidditch is regarded as an invasive custom. As children we are encouraged to engage in aerial duelings and races. We call them Aeromachia, literally aerial battle and Aerodromia, that would be air racing." He explained his lack of knowledge on Quidditch and how his proposal was connected to his background.

Making sure his coffee was cool enough, he took a sip before answering her next question.
"I might be worse than your younger students when it come to Quidditch, but my flying skills are considerable. In our aerial duelings everything is permitted as a mean of flying. Brooms, winged creatures- we take pride on our breeds of flying horses. Some confident duelists may also prefer flying using transifgurations or enchantments. We also use chariots. They are not exactly like the typical ones that might come to your mind. Well they were back in old times but currently are more like embellished, flying platforms. Imagine it like flying on an aerodynamic shield, using just your two feet for balance and of course some safety enchantments that would keep you from falling easily." He explained as briefly as he possibly could. He sat back comfortably and crossed his legs with the cup in his hands.

"Of course there are variations such as an individual holding something fragile while chased by other duelists, his goal to keep the object intact until the end of the race. Or which of the challengers will keep the object in their possession until the end of a time period and so on." He added, just realizing that he might have shared too much information that Kida might didn't need or cared to listen.
"To get back to your question. I am a seasoned flyer. I have flied on creatures, brooms, even surf on a chariot which is similar to broom surfing." He nodded and had another sip of his black coffee. "Just don't make me grow wings and fly. I did once that. My whole back was hurting for days." He chuckled in an attempt to make their conversation lighter and indicated that he was more than ready to exhibit his flying skills if she wanted to.
"Have you ever tried to fly other than using a broom? I don't want to put the cart before the abraxan, but most Quidditch enthusiasts limit theirselves to broomsticks." He asked curiously and his grey gaze eyed her over the rim of his cup.

'Invasive?!' she said hearing the term was almost amusing but she was aware some places didn't fully embrace the sport, but to hear it described as invasive was a whole new term. Kida listened to the young man go into detail about Aerial dueling and the different types of creatures or objects they have used to duel. She was curious about the Transfiguration aspect of things herself but It'd be Interesting the other methods as well as this was a Flying Academy not strictly Quidditch. Nodding along Kida took another sip of her tea while it was all explained to her 'Kind of like air surfing or snowboarding' she added about flying platforms, she was always amused how muggle activitys somehow made their way into the wizarding world, for her surfing or snowboarding was a common thing but for wizards it always had to be fancier.

'This does sound very interesting and we do have the space and facilities to be able to offer this in our curriculum albeit probably an elective subject' Kida took another sip of her tea before putting the cup down in front of her 'My Son attends the academy and he often partakes in Broom Racing and I'm absolutely positively certain that he would love to try flying on anything he could' she mused.

Kida chuckled at Rhex's comment about growing wings and flying and how much his back hurt because of it 'Transfiguration isn't as painless as people think it'll be' she said
'The discomfort takes a bit to get used to' her eyes suddenly appeared slightly more golden for a brief moment as she stretched her Animagus abilities a little.
She was satisfied that Rhex did know how to fly, she wouldn't ever hire someone who wasn't comfortable on a broom to teach the students, she truly wanted the best she could offer for her pupils to create a name for the Academy and provide them with amazing opportunities when they left. When the same question was turned back on her she smiled
'I've had a go at flying on a winged horse once or twice, and I've taken a hit at seeing what else I could make fly, but much more when I was just out of school and invincible and before I had children' she said, He was correct she did more stick to broomsticks as they were the more common form of flying and she loved carving and making her own brooms in her spare time, she picked up the craftsmanship when she was on maternity leave from flying.

'This all sounds wonderful, I'd love to see it in Practice, but I would like to make sure that The Academy is suited to what you are after, Why don't I take you on a tour of our facilities?' she asked, truthfully Kida was dying to walk around after spending most of her morning in her office, but she always did want to show Rhex the grounds to make sure they weren't wasting each others time.

Rhex shrugged as he sipped his coffee. "Let's just say that Greeks like to stick to their traditions. An Icarus spell is always preferred over a broomstick. Even if that might give you an aching back." He chuckled before his lips touching again the rim of his cup. He eyed again Kida to see what impact would have the word he used, without whatsoever, displaying any signs of deliberately speaking of that name. "That would be what we call the wing-growing transfiguration spell back in my country." He explained with a deceiving smile that concealed any possible malignity.

The dark-haired wizard nodded a couple of times as they focused more on the adequacy of Kida's academy to his proposed activity. His facial features this time betrayed him as Rhex allowed an inner smirk at the sound of Kida's son. He definately wanted to meet the boy but he was never rushful. He knew it was going to happen in due time.
"I am sure your academy is more than eligible to carry out such an activity." He continued on that matter to show that he didn't really paid attention to her reference to her son. Rhex put his cup down on the coffee table as well and picked his briefcase.

From within it he draw a white folder and passed it to Kida on the table before her.
"You don't have to worry about the protective enchantments. This is a detailed report I have composed on the measures that must be taken before inititating the appropriate classes. You can read it maybe later at your convenience." He reassured her that his offer was safe for her students which was true. The whole proposal was examined thoroughly to be as professional as possible, by the people that supported him. His task after all wasn't to harm anyone, just to approach the boy, and this extracurricular program was the perfect trojan horse.
"Of course I am not suggesting to bring flying creatures at your premises. We will limit the flying means to brooms- as it is your academy's specialty- and maybe chariots, 'flying boards' if you like so." He simulated quotation marks with his fingers as he explained the chariots he mentioned as mere flying boards.
"You also won't have to make any expenses on that matter, while I have a number of flying boards to provide. I have spare number of them as I am using them professionally." He let Kida know that the safety and the equipment part of the offer was settled.

He closed his briefcase and set it back down at his feet. Rhex gulped down the rest of the coffee and got ready to stand up. "Whenever you are ready." He accepted her offer for a tour, looking forwards to get familiar with the academy's infrastructure.

Being a Widow at such a young age wasn't something Kida ever thought would happen to her. Hearing her passed Husbands name she put her right hand on her left absent mindedly and traced her ring finger but kept her eye contact with Rhex while he discussed in more detail about the spell, although some pain could still be seen in her eyes, she didn't allow it to affect her, it had been many years now since she lost him. Kida noticed a weird smirk briefly on the mans face opposite her, she glossed over it, he was probably happy with himself that she was interested in his course or something like that, Kida leaned forward she to take the folder from Rhex and picked up her cup at the same time, taking a sip she put the folder in her lap and opened it to examine the pages inside.
Listening to Rhex discuss a bit more about his request she glanced a few pages and safe to say she was impressed and the detail that was provided, plus the costing and equipment was all addressed even the safety of her students, she had heard some ridiculous ideas in the past which never even considered what would happen if something went wrong.

'If appropriate we can see how the course does with brooms and if successful and the interest is there allow for various other creatures or objects to be introduced, but Broom flying is the utmost important courses provided here' she said, Kida always loved a new challenge but her Academy had it's specialty and she wanted it to be the best of the best places to go for flying of brooms, and maybe one day in the future flying in general.

Walking towards the door of her office she opened the double doors and pushed them back so they latched open before walking out , her office was just off one of the main common rooms which had tables and a fireplace for students and two large windows on either side looking out into the trees which surrounded her school, being based up in the mountains there were a lot of large old trees around which has been completely untouched by muggles for many years.
'The Academy has three common rooms, two one the larger side and one smaller one which we call the Sun room' she said as she walked past the rooms which had a few students writing down notes surrounded by books 'As you know we also teach the basic principles of magic that you will find at any other school' she approached a hall which had classrooms in and she stopped at one which was teaching herbology, she gestured in through the glass of the door at the small class of students 'You have to keep your grades up, You can't just get by being good at flying' she added before continuing on. Showing people her grounds made her quite proud at the work she put in, lead Rhex around before going upstairs to the dorms which took up most of the second floor.

'These are the dorms, We keep students in rooms of two or three to a room with other students at their level' Hard to be impressive with most doors closed but Kida walked through the halls which were decorated with different portraits of Quidditch players and teams which had been donated to the school. She turned the corner to head towards the teachers wing when a door opened and a Student walked out in a hurry, almost bumping into her, she stopped mid stride and missed the boy 'And this...' she paused moving to the side and as the student in front of her was apologizing 'Leonidas, I'd like you to meet Rhexenor Laspas, Who might be teaching a possible new Elective of Aerial dueling, once we've finished having some more discussions' The boy next to her was standing quite tall at 6ft 1 with maybe the smallest bit of growing left to do, The resemblance wasn't easy to pick, between Kida and her Son, maybe some mannerisms but if you looked closely enough you could tell 'Mr Laspas, This is my Son, Leonidas'

Leonidas had made plans to meet up with someone he had met not that long ago, it was the first time in his short life that he was excited to have a friend, maybe more? He had a spare period in which he normally would be making plans for a new race track to set up or working on a spell for rings which he could fly through as markers but instead he was getting himself ready to meet up with this girl. Thankfully for him and his mother owning the school he was the only student on campus which had a dorm to himself which he was grateful for as even sometimes when the school season was out he would spend his time here.

Brushing his hands through his hair he looked at his reflection, he was tall and had a strong build, he played beater and it kept him broad in the shoulders, he heard the bell for class end and he realised he was late, he wanted to be there waiting for her so she didn't have to wait for him, after all they agreed to study together. Grabbing his bag he quickly opened his door and walked out, looking behind him to see if there was anything he forgot he didn't notice the two people walking past his room. He dropped his bag in shock as he moved his hands up in front of him in a bit of shock
'I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I should have been looking' he apologized without even realizing it was his mother he had almost ran into, he looked at the woman in front of him and realized who it was and he grinned sheepishly 'sorry' he said, he blushed a little realising his bedroom door was open and he had left his clothes and a few books scattered all over the floor, not the best look for the Son of the Headmistress. He felt his mother move next to him and her arms on his shoulders as if she was showing off her prize, he was introduced to a Man with a strange name and he extended his hand 'Nice to meet you, Mr Laspas' he said waiting for the man to accept his handshake, his grey eyes standing out strikingly in the sunlight which streamed in through the windows.

Rhex nodded, agreeing that the best idea was to focus primarily on broomsticks and depending on the student's capabilities, to introduce later other flying means. He picked up his briefcase, buttoned again his suit's jacket and followed the woman out of her office, ready to receive the tour she had promised. Although it lacked the classical architecture of Trismagista, the Greek wizarding school he had attended, the academy seemed to be well-organized for a recently-founded educational institute. The sunlit common rooms looked ideal for some relax time and Rhex could already picture himself working on paperwork while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. He made sure he memorized already the route they were taking, making a mental map of the place in his head.

"No houses?" He asked cusiously as he was toured around the students' dormitories. Then, a student rushed out one of the rooms and Kida stopped him to introduce him as her son. Rhex hadn't expected to meet so soon the boy. His own lustrous, grey eyes met the boy's and he could observe something familiar in them.
"Nice to meet you too, Leonidas." He said with a cordial smile and proceeded to return the handshake, ready for what was going to happen next. It was more than just a slight tingle that ran underneath his skin as he grasped Leonidas' hand. However, he didn't flinch as a soft current pulsed through him. It was the touch of the bloodline. The first touch with someone that he shared the same genes. "Static electricity." He stated apologetically and let go of the boy's hand.
"I am looking forward to see your flying skills in action." Rhex added, already wondering how he could come closer to the boy and earn his trust.

He felt the surge tingle his hand on contact and move slightly up his arm as he shook the guests hand, he let go and looked at his hand thinking maybe the man may have pulled some form of practical joke on him but instead said it was from static electricity 'right' he added quizzically looking at the ground as there was no carpet in the hallways before remembering he was meant to be showing his best side for the school 'Probably my fault, got my clothes washed incorrectly, or something' he joked as he rubbed his hand on his pants leg.

The man continued on about looking forward to seeing his flying skills and he shot a side glance at his mother, he didn't like being brought up and discussed, it was his sister who was the true legacy of the family, youngest Quidditch professional in history, fantastic flyer. Leonidas was good, really good in fact but he was always in a shadow he doubted he would ever shake, but he was still more of a loner type person, stuck to his own doing his own thing out of the way of others, he was happy like that, to the point that not a lot of people knew that he was related to the Headmistress
'Yeah, I'd probably join your class if brought to the school, Aerial Dueling sounds pretty cool' he wasn't going to lie it did interest him, he loved flying more than most things especially walking most of the time, The only other time he wasn't on his broom was to study and plan out new courses to fly, he did eat on his broom sometimes after all. Leonidas studied the man slightly, he had met a few people coming to the Academy to try teach their new fancy was of flying and most were rejected, but for some reason which he couldn't put his finger on the man in front of him intrigued him 'Can I..' he paused not sure if he should hold up much of their time 'Can I use my own Broom?' he asked, not sure if there were guidelines to this activity, if it was a specific new competition which required you to use some basic branded uncomfortable broom so everyone was entirely equal or if it was entirely based on the flyers ability.

Rhex smiled. It was nice to hear that Leonidas was already considering to join his prospective classes. It would be easier for him to approach the boy in that way. He observed discreetly the boy. What it was to him? A nephew or something? It didn't matter. He had to earn his trust at first. Then there were more orders to come from his superiors. Rhex had no idea what was their ultimate plan and he didn't really care as long as he was going to receive the sponsorship he was promised for the Paneuropean Dueling Tournament. Still he couldn't help but wonder what awaited this oblivious child. Perhaps the same fate as the Stratis.

Rhex zoned in as the boy asked him if he could use his own broom in aerial dueling.
"Sure you can. Flying will be the easy part. The challenge will be to fly with one hand holding your wand while remaining constantly alerted and insightful. While flying in speed, spells won't hit exactly where you aim and your targets will be in constant movement as well." He hinted tο hype him up. Rhex then looked around him in a conspiratorial manner and leaned slightly towards Leonidas, as if he wanted to share a secret.
"I could offer a private lesson before the actual classes. Just to see you in action and give you a few tips. If you mother of course agrees." He looked at Kida as he didn't want to take initiatives without her approvement.

Leonidas loved his broom, he helped to carve the shaft himself as his mother often spent her free time making brooms, she told Leonidas that when she was pregnant with Scarlet she started learning how and when she was pregnant with him she perfected the skill. His broom was perfectly weighted for him and was great for playing Quidditch but also quick for his broom racing so being able to use his own broom interested him more. He listened to the challenges about how he would need to be able to hold his wand whilst being alert and flying and he smirked to himself, he often flew one handed he was a beater after all. 'Shouldn't be too hard' he said not trying to appear cocky but it was what he studied for, the ability to fly one handed and hit objects at other moving objects should be a walk in the park for him so to speak.

He was offered a Private lesson and he had to admit the idea Interested him greatly, he looked towards his Mother who was standing next to him
'I promise I'll play fair with the other students and won't use my knowledge from a private lesson against them' he said putting on his best charm towards his mother, he knew she probably wouldn't say no.

Kida watched the two men in front of her exchange a few words about the sport, she caught herself staring if only for a moment, there was something deep in her gut that was wrong, but she couldn't exactly pick what, maybe it was just mothers intuition that Leonidas was going to possibly get hurt from participating. Kida put her hands together and rubbed her ring finger again she was brought back to what was happening in front of her by the mention in her direction, she listened to her son's plea and she rolled her eyes and gave him a smile, she knew private lesson or not he would probably give the other a students a run for their money, Leonidas was quick on his broom, where Kida excelled in tricks and avoiding close calls, Leonidas had the speed and force behind his swings, but she was also a little biased because she was her youngest child and only son. 'I'll hold you to that promise, If you break it you'll be running down the mountain' she folded her arms and laughed, she knew how much her son hated walking or running over being on a broom.

'But, another time Leonidas, you're going to be late to where ever you were going and I have a tour to finish' she looked down at the bag which was still on the floor and peered into his single room, she pulled out her wand and gave it a flick towards his room saying a spell quietly under her breath his clothes on his floor drifted towards the washing basket, Kida slipped her wand back up her left sleeve where she kept it attached to her wrist.
Turning towards Rhex she took a step back to make space to walk past Leonidas
'No, we don't have houses, we have skill levels' she said remembering the last question he asked before they bumped into Leo 'Your skill level will match your team you practice with we only have higher level students and teams change often' Kida walked down the hallway and around the corner towards the staff wing

As Leonida's was promising to his mother that he wasn't intending to benefit from the private lessons against his classmates, Rhex noticed another shared feature. Charming persuasion. Himself had used his gift a lot of times especially when he was at the boy's age. The dark-haired man glibly smiled and turned as well to Kida, expecting her reply.
"You can't expect your opponent to be fair if you want to be a successful duelist but let's keep it that way during classes." He added to her positive response, as she was taking care of her son's messy room.

Rhex raised his hand in farewall as they left Leonidas attend his own plans and resumed their tour. He listened carefully Kida and nodded as she enlightened him as to the academy's features.
"Interesting how different institutions have different ways to bring out of their students their best traits. You have skill levels, Hogwarts' branches employ legilimency, through a hat if I am not mistaken, and my school we had to choose our houses depending on the orientation of our final challenge." He commented while wondering how other institutions around the world, assorted their students. Rhex looked at Kida and for a moment tried to guess where she could have received her wizarding education. "You attended the Hogwarts' branch of New Zealand?" He finally asked.

Listening to Rhex comment on the different ways institutions sort their students she nodded, she had heard of the many different ways students got sorted and it was always an interesting experience that happens once. She was considering for a while how to sort her students but came to the decisions that the experience they had when they were 11 should be a fond singular memory and she didn't need to add more stress onto attending a flying academy. 'Fascinating' she commented when he explained that had challenge to decide their house.

Kida turned the corner and towards a more secluded section of the building
'Correct, I was a Gryffindor' she responded 'My Eldest was also sorted into Gryffindor, actually come to think of it, most of my family got sorted into Gryffindor' she chuckled a little 'Curious how that works' if her family and her all stood in a room you would hardly be able to put them together, herself chose a career in Quidditch whereas her cousin Aeon was a teacher with drastic different interests.
Kida walked into a small common area and gestured towards the wings
'Close enough to the students that if attention is required they can be checked on, far enough away for privacy' Kida knew better than most how sneaky children can be, herself when she was younger would get into a lot of trouble sneaking out, she didn't impose the same rules on her students as if they were hungry they could go get something from the kitchens but she did require that they respect the other students and not leave the building after a certain hour.

Walking back down stairs after showing the teachers area Kida walked into a main common room which had two large doors attached to it
'I guess this leaves us with the most important part of the tour' she opened the doors and gestured outside which opened up to a quaint outdoor area but neatly resting on some racks near the door were brooms. Picking one up she assessed it's weight before switching it for another and holding it out for Rhex to take.

Rhex already knew that Kida was once a Gryffindor student. He had made an extensive research about her background with the help of his superiors of course.
"I'm not surprised. It takes bravery to found and direct an institution." He complimented as they walked into another common room area. He hoped he wouldn't have any patrolling duties and that he would be able to leave the academy to attend his own business. Regardless, he was ordered to accept both if they turned out to be mandatory.

As Rhex had expected, the tour brought them at the outdoor facilities. When Kida offered him the broomstick, he politely refused it.
"If you don't mind, I would like to use my own flying mount." He went to the nearest bench to put his briefcase. He took off his suit's jacket, neatly folding and placing it next to the briefcase that he then proceeded to open. He took out a small object, fitting right into his palm. He turned back to Kida, placing the object on the ground.
"Diastelius" He pointed his wand at the object, casting the engorgement charm in his mother tongue. The object on the floor increased instantly in size to become five feet long. Leaf-shaped, with vine designs engraved on the top-facing side, it gleamed golden under the sunlight. As he stepped on top if it, facing the more rounded side of the board-looking object, it hovered a few inches off the ground and Rhex bended slightly his knees. He rolled up his shirt's sleeves and looked at Kida.
"Ready for the flying tour." He stated with a smile, waiting for her to take the lead and follow her.

Hearing that he would prefer to use his own mount Kida couldn't say that she was surprised, the board came to size in front of her and she watched it as its finer details became more prevalent. Kida paused as Rhex said he was ready for the flying tour 'May I?' she said gesturing towards the board he was standing on, she walked around the man where he stood hovering above the ground, 'Pardon me' Kida slipped her foot under the board and lifted it to test how easy it was to move under light pressure. 'The top fields have very strong winds, How confident are you on that?' she mused hoping that the board wouldn't act as a wind surfer and toss him from the board mid flight.

Kida grabbed one of her more casual brooms from outside the school and had it hover whilst she leaned on it 'I'll give you a quick run down now, we have four above ground pitches and one under ground for during severe weather. Two pitches are located up the mountain' Kida gestured towards the peak where if you looked closely enough you could see the whip of a flag just above the trees 'One where the atmosphere is thin and one in the path of a natural wind tunnel for endurance training' Kida kicked off the ground and rode her broom side saddle for a moment 'Our main pitch is in use right now for the lower skill level practice and we generally keep the pitch closest to the school available for the students to practice out of school hours' Kida took her broom up pretty high and rounded some trees before kicking her leg over her broom and headed down the mountain to bring the training pitch into view with a few students practising throwing the quaffle to each other
'I was thinking this pitch would be a suitable area to start classes for Aerial Dueling'
she said offering Rhex the position.

"Sure!" He nodded and let her examine closer his chariot. He let her test the board's stability while he was on it hovering a bit above the ground and he let a cheeky smile spread on his lips.
"Very." He replied confidently to her question.
"It is bewitched with all sorts of balancing charms. its' foothold feels surprisingly stable. If you fall, it zooms back at you. Of course for the students' safety we will cast slowing and softening charms on the pitch we will use." He proposed as he marvelled the golden board beneath his feet. He glanced at the peaks where she pointed out the location of some of the academy's Quidditch pitches.

"I would love to see them." He began as they both soared in the skies. He leaned forwards, knees slightly bended, the breeze pleasant on his face. "I should also let you know that we will have to modify a bit the pitch's terrain that will be used for tha aerial duelling and eventually for a little tournament that I am considering of. It gets far more interesting, adding elements such as a small grove or ponds around. It will spark creativity and improvision while using the surroundings to outwin your opponents." He elaborated further, sounding like he knew very well what he was talking about.

Rhex nodded at the sight of the pitch she suggested that it could be used for the practice of aerial dueling.
"Looks perfect actually." He agreed as he stopped to float and study it from a bird-eye view point. Rhex could picture how the enchantments would shape its landscape as the students will get more advanced. "There is no problem with the pitch that will be used. The students will undergo the basic stuff first so anything spacious enough for laps and maneuvers will do. Anything that won't interrupt the usual acitivities of the academy." He said, having no special requests for his classes.

Rhex looked at Kida. His grey eyes flashed with contentedness when he actually realized that what she had said sounded like his propostion had been just approved. "Wait, is it a deal? He asked for confirmation.

Nodding at the suggestions Rhex put forward about modifying the pitches terrain for duelling, groves and ponds, she nodded at the thought, thankfully with the help of magic it wouldn't be too difficult to manipulate the terrain back for practice. 'We keep this pitch open for practice as it's closest to the school, so any injuries sustained can be treated quicker, Kids love to push the limits' Kida commented looking at the pitch, she watched him check over the pitch she looked at her students, some who stopped practising for a moment to discuss who was checking over the pitch.

Feeling the wind pick up she brushed her hands through her hair moving her hair out of her face, looking up at Rhex where he was over viewing she moved her broom to match his height, extending her hand for Rhex to shake
'Absolutely, I think Aerial Duelling would be perfect elective course for the students to take, we have the facilities and the talent for the sport, and you certainly have my Sons attention, and hes a student who more likes to keep to himself' she commented knowing from their interaction with Rhex earlier that her Son would love to give the course a go, and she as a mother would be more than happy to see her Son doing more activities with other students 'We can see how the class goes for a semester or two and review from there if its suitable to become part of a more permanent rotation'
Kida kept her eyes on Rhex, she had an odd feeling about him, she hoped that it was just being nervous about expanding her curriculum into something she hasn't tried before herself.

Rhexenor returned that aerial handshake with a triumphal gleam in his light eyes.
"Thank you for the opportunity! I hope I'll live up to your expectations." He responded, his whole face lightened up with his startingly perfect smile. The first scale of his mission culminated better than he had expected.
"I have a favor to ask though." He rubbed an eyebrow with his forefinger, somewhat reluctantly for the request to come. "Erm, due to by job as a professional duelist and all the preparations I have for upcoming tournaments, I will have to leave the academy mostly on weekends. You know, procedural stuff, meetings with sponsors, trainings, et cetera." He explained while hoping this wouldn't be an issue. Rhex was aware that at other wizarding schools, teachers were residing at the schools' premises throughout the academic terms but he needed to attend other out-of-school business. "I promise this won't effect the smooth performance of my classes." He reassured, wondering what was next for their tour.
"Do you teach as well?" He asked, eliciting a more companionable conversation.

'Oh Absolutely, I often duck in and out to attend Quidditch Practice for my team, or lunch with my Cousin. As long as you are available for the students if they need you, and not missing classes I have no issue' she said, Kida knows the difficulties of being ambitious she has been teaching for years whilst being a professional Quidditch player and raising two children, it is never easy work but it was rewarding work, and for someone like Kida herself she liked to keep herself busy with activities even when she was pregnant she took up making brooms, and even building some houses on her land in New Zealand for her extended family.

Kida watched her students working on their throws and catching for quaffles she was pleased with their progress, they hadn't dropped the quaffle yet and were moving incredibly fast, she often wondered if her students would apply for the same team together, they often created such good bonds here.
'I do teach, I focus on more of the beater field, working on agility and target practice' she said 'We might have to have you trained up in some Quidditch, we're going to have our first annual Teachers versus Students match at the end of the year, it should be good fun'
In the distance a chime of a bell rang out, and the sound traveled over the side of the mountain
'Oh, I'm so sorry Rhex, I let the time get away from me, The students are going on break before their next session of classes and I do have a class to teach, but Follow me back to my office and I'll get my assistant to get you assigned to a room, we have a few teacher rooms for you to take your pick from and we'll work on getting you into the schedule' she turned her broom around and soared down towards the way they exited the school building and swung her leg off her broom in a graceful swoop landing on the ground and moving straight into a stride 'and I promise I will give you a personal tour of the other three pitches before you start and we will work on developing the pitch for your classes' she added as she put her broom away and walked back into the school heading towards her office.

Rhex was glad to hear that he could attend his business away from the academy. He also found nice the idea of a match among professors. "Cool. I always wanted to play as a keeper." This statement may or may not have been made on purpose. He knew that Kida's deseased husband used to be a professional Quidditch player, a keeper, but at the same time it was truly the position he would prefer to play.

"Don't stress about it. Whenever you have time." He said, understanding fully the circumstances. Standing atop the golden platform, he made an abrupt manoeuvre and u-turned to follow Kida back down to the ground were the two of them first took off. He shrinked the board back to a smaller size to store it back in his briefcase and picked up his suit jacket. He then followed the director back to her office.
"Have a nice rest of the day." He bid farewell as Kida left for her class and he waited for the assistant to escort him to his room. Rhex smirked to himself as he was left briefly alone at Kida's office waiting room. It went as smoothly as he wanted. A minute later, while following Kida's assistant, he was hoping to get a chance and report to his superiors. The boy was finally monitored.
