Beauxbatons,Practice
With the team's performance being too unpredictable for Jess's liking, she was hoping this practice would help determine the team's abilities, hopefully in their favor. They'd gone from 810 points to not being able to score at all in the last practice, but maybe that meant their Keepers had upped their game. Regardless, she still had complete faith in her team's raw talent and hoped this practice would go better than the last to prove their first practice wasn't just beginner's luck. As it was, Sica and Brendan had spent long nights discussing the line up and future of their team hoping to have the best possible players for their game against Hogwarts.

Sica was at least glad it wasn't raining as she headed out to the Pitch. This was one of her last practices as a Co-captain and seventh year, and she was feeling bittersweet about it, so she hoped she could leave this practice feeling a sense of accomplishment. She was eager and impatient to get in the air already so she hoped the players would arrive soon to get this practice started.

This is the last practice of the year! Remember, the Beauxbatons vs. HNZ game has not been scheduled yet because staff are waiting to see the activity from the team, so participation is crucial!! This final practice will also determine the future of the Beauxbatons team's existence on the site!

Practice will be open for 2 weeks; if you cannot participate for any reason, please let me or Jesse know so we are aware!

Elvira had had a great time in New Zealand with Lizzie, though the girls had decided it would only be a one-off. Long distance relationships seemed like a lot of work to Elvira, and while she really liked Lizzie, she wanted to flirt with and kiss other girls too. One of the girls highest on her list was Jessica, though the girl hadn't responded to her flirtations when she had tried. Still, Elvira wasn't usually one to give up. So when she arrived at the practice, she gave the girl a bright smile, hoping it would dazzle her just a little. This wasn't the time for flirting, though. It was time for practice. She waited for everyone else to arrive, hoping that she would catch the snitch this time.

Fletcher couldn't believe how quickly this year had been going, and to think that soon asked be returning to her family for the summer. Of course there was still plenty to do before that happened, one of which was to beat Hogwarts' ass in Quidditch. Shed be practising as much as she could between lessons and making her way down to the pitch with the team, she greeted then with a smile and waited to begin.

This was it. The final practice of the year. They'd had their ups and downs over the past few months of training, and while some of the players still needed to push themselves a little more, overall they had a solid team that any opponent should be afraid to play against. Brendan wasn't so sure what the future was going to be like once Jessica graduated, as the more experienced captain between them, but he was confident they could continue to do well. Their last match hadn't been amazing, given the conditions they were playing in, and he felt that was his own fault for not having the foresight to check the weather while scheduling it in, so he still had a lot to learn on his own. Mistakes were made, and at least he somewhat knew what not to do for the future.

Fulke joined the others down at the pitch, broom held loosely by his side. As it was the last practice, he intended to really play - no more spectating the team, no simply handing over the quaffle to the younger members from the get go. He was in it just as much as they were. A real match wasn't so lenient as their practices had been, and taking first possession was important to get an early lead in the game.

Cheryl was ready for the last practice. Previous one was a disaster and Cheryl wanted to make up for it. It was no excuse she thought that the heavy weather was not making her score anything, but the other chasers didn't do that well too in that weather. The practice was over soon last time, so Cheryl hoped this time she would find her strength again and show what she got. When she arrived, Cheryl smiled at the other teammember that were already there. Brendan seemed like a friendly boy and he was the chaser where she would work together with. Cheryl was ofcourse just an alternate, but she knew she would be important too.

She made herself ready and looked out until everyone was there, and the game could begin. Cheryl wanted to take possesion of the quaffle soon, but felt like she needed to play together with the team too. If there was an opportunity she would take it for sure. She felt like she needed to prove herself a bit more than the regular players.
So she was gonna do her very best for sure.

Maia hadn't been able to participate in the previous training session due to the flu but was back now and determined to once again show the captains what she could do. She smiled at her teammates once she arrived at the pitch and waited patiently for one of the captains to start the practice.

Thinking back to how she had been feeling the last time she had walked out across the Quidditch pitch for practice, Celine was looking forward to the coming activity with much greater anticipation - it certainly helped that there was no driving rain today. Going over to stand next to Elvira, Celine greeted her friend and set about making small chit-chat while they all waited for the rest of the team to arrive. It helped distract her from obsessing too deeply about improving her goal-blocking, which was never helpful at this early stage of the practice.

As usual, Theodore was excited for the practice, as it brought them even closer to the possibility of actually going overseas to compete against another school. Even if he didn't get a chance to play, the youth was looking forward to the whole experience more than anything. Joining the other players at the Quidditch pitch, Theo gave a friendly wave. The sky was clearer this time, and he hoped he'd be able to do as well as he had during the first practice now that the conditions were more favourable.

Jamie arrived at the final quidditch practice of the year with a bright expression on his face. His broom tightly held in his hand. He was so excited for this! He couldn't wait to get started, he felt that they were the best team in all of magical schools. It would be good to get back into the air and be able to keep practicing.

Jessica stretched as the rest of the team showed up. She noticed the moment Elvira showed up and didn't miss the smile the girl threw at her, and smiled back but quickly shook her head to clear her thoughts and focus on practice. She wanted to get to work already so as soon as the team showed up she called their attention. "Okay listen up, it's our last practice and we need to give it our all," she said, mentally noting that it was her last ever, whereas they would still have other years. "I know you've got it in you, you're practically naturals at this, so don't hold back. Every player needs to give it their all, even alternates because we never know what might happen," she said. She'd seen stranger things happen, where alternates had to play in positions they weren't usually trained in. "So let's get going!" she said, reaching down to release the balls from the chest. She picked up the quaffle and passed it to Brendan for him to toss up since he was the Chaser of the two, and then blew the whistle for all of them to kick off into the air.

Even though Jessica smiled back, Elvira felt some disappointment that she didn't really seem focused on her. But she was in captain-mode right now. Maybe after the practice she would be more likely to react to her flirting. Elvira had to focus as well. Once the practice started she flew into the air and looked around for the snitch immediately. She also kept an eye on Theodore, hoping that if he saw the snitch first she could still snatch it away before he could.

Once the game had begun, Fletcher wasted no time in hitting the skies, eyes peeled for a bludger. She hoped that the team would be good enough to attend Hogwarts at the end of the year, after never being out of the country in her own lifetime, and to travel with her new friends would be exciting. Bat in hand, she smiled to Maia and Jess, wondering if they'd be able to defend one another this game.

Cassi was almost panting when she reached the pitch, thinking she was running late. Reaching the group, she waved a quick hello just before Jessica began to speak. Soon enough, practice began and Cassi kicked off to the ground to her assigned posts.

Jess flew around the pitch as a warm up and surveyed the players for a bit just to see how they were doing, before resuming her search for a bludger. She couldn't get too comfortable or stagnant during a game otherwise they might target her, and her role was to find them and knock them out. Jess wondered who she might hit it towards on her team, once she got close enough to hit one.

Celine listened attentively as Jessica gave them a brief pep-talk before practice began. It was nice to hear the positivity in her tone, it made Celine feel more self-assured that there was nothing to worry about - they were all going to do their best, and if the past was anything to go by their best was pretty good. Given the okay to go, she swung her leg over the broom and took off, heading for the hoops at her usual end of the pitch.

Brendan took hold of the quaffle as Jess passed it to him, and lining up with the other chasers, he punted it into the air. Still, even he flew up to make a catch as it fell back down towards the earth, deftly taking hold of the leather bound ball himself and tucking it under his arm. The others should have to be faster to beat him, but he couldn't blame them, considering most were new and one was practically missing for the majority of the year. Tucking the quaffle under his arm, he sped toward the hoops, keeping an eye out for whomever was free to make a pass before he got there.

As soon as they were allowed, Theo kicked off from the ground and immediately set off in pursuit of where he'd last seen the snitch fly upon being released. The youth gave Elvira a friendly smile, catching sight of one of her glances toward him, before refocusing on the golden orb. It was ridiculous how quickly it moved, and how far it could get by the time they could get airborne.

Maia nodded at the encouraging words from her captain and then kicked herself off the ground. She was determined to at least hitnone bludgers this training session just so she wouldn't feel completely useless.

Watching as the rest of the team scattered across the pitch, Celine kept an eye predominantly on the group of chasers who had gathered around the Quaffle as practice officially began play. Brendan was the one who emerged triumphant, and she watched as he streaked across the pitch. At this stage she didn't know if it was him or one of the other chasers she would have to defend against for the first attempt at her hoops, but as long as she can kept an eye on them all she should have a good chance of saving it.

Elvira returned the smile the younger boy gave her. They weren't rivals, after all. She just wanted to do better than him this time. She scanned the skies for any glint of gold, hoping to see the snitch soon.

Theodore continued his search, briefly flying alongside a bird that had decided to pass over the pitch, and appeared startled to see him so high up. He spent a minute chasing it around, until a glimmer of gold in the distance reminded him what he was there for. Turning his broom around, he headed in the direction he'd seen the sparkle of light, but already he'd lost it.

Approaching the hoops without spotting any of the chasers in his peripherals, Brendan decided to take the shot, trying to judge where Celine's attention was the least focused. It seemed she was more than ready for him though, as once he entered the scoring zone and tossed the ball toward the left most hoop, it was saved. He scowled to himself for a brief moment, annoyed at his own failure, but the scowl was quickly dropped as he forced on a smile, not wanting the Keeper to think it was her he was irritated with. "Nicely done." He commented, drifting back out of the scoring zone to watch out for the quaffle to be thrown back into play.

Jessica watched the game for a moment and chuckled playfully as Brendan missed his shot. Though as she saw a bludger and swung to hit it, she missed, so she had no room to laugh either. She gave Celine a thumbs up, feeling confident in her abilities. If she could block goals like that from a good chaser, then that would be good during a game, especially since she didn't think she'd ever have to worry about the seekers.

Elvira grinned when she saw that Celine had saved the goal Brendan had tried to score. She gave her best friend a big thumbs-up, before looking around for the snitch some more. So far, there had been no sign of it.

Since Maia couldn't spot anything to hit, she decided to follow Theodore to defend him from the other two Beaters. Both of them were very good at their job so knew that at some point she could expect a bludger coming the younger Seeker's way.
