Mazikeen had really loved the last halloween, she hadn't been a huge fan of it when she'd been growing up but the fact that everyone, or nearly everyone went for it, it made it all the more fun. After her colorful costume from the last one, Maze had toned it down a bit, dressing up in her mother's mother's clothes, with a cane for a good addition. It helped make the look a little more believable, though her blonde hair, and wrinkle free face hadn't been changed. The outfit itself had been the best sort that she could come up with, but of course she could not have predicted how hot all of the layers would be in a hall full of others with people dancing. The young girl was using the cane to walk, making purposefully slow steps, she hoped that she might just blend in and people would assume that she was in fact just an old lady. She wasn't as sneaky as she thought she was being, but Maze was having fun with it, and that was the entire idea with it. She could put on an elderly voice and hitting people's ankles with her cane, and she would also maybe go dance if she found someone to do that with, but she was fairly content with just what she was doing already.

Alice had been told about the Halloween feast by her sisters, so she had picked out a costume at home and prepared. The green princess dress was exciting to the girl, and she had already twirled around a few times since entering the hall. Curiously, she was now walking around to see what there was to do. Her sister's stories hadn't done this event justice, it was so wonderful! Alice didn't really know where she wanted to start. The tent looked great, but apple bobbing and pinatas were also exciting. What she enjoyed most, though, was seeing everyone in their costumes. Some people were so creative! She loved seeing all the funny and silly ones, though there were a few scary ones as well. Her eye was caught by someone walking slowly, and she quickly noticed the cane. Curious, Alice approached. "Hi! Are you an old lady?"She asked with a giggle. "That's a funny costume idea!"

Henrietta still didn't know why she attended these events at times. Usually it was just a bunch of people making idiots of themselves in poorly made costumes. When she dressed up she liked to make sure it was a high quality costume, otherwise people would constantly ask you what you were, which was the most annoying part of this holiday. If people couldn't figure out your costume from looking at you, you were doing it wrong. Henrietta was walking around the great hall trying to get past the dancing couples and clusters of people, but the area was crowded and she was stuck behind someone who was going extremely slow. To make things worse, the person in front of her had stopped to make conversation with the hunched over person. Henrietta tried side stepping them but a couple was crowding into her on her right side and then to her left she had to avoid being hit by some tarantula leg so she couldn't walk past them. "Oh my god, could you be any slower?" Henrietta complained loudly to the two in front of her.

Mazikeen looked up at the young girl, "I'm old grandma Roe, you can call me granny," she put on a voice as if she was older, much older, but the youthful expression and smile on her face gave it away. She was purposeful slowly and took the time to look over the other girl's dress. It was fancy! She liked it a lot, "That's a fancy dress, are you a princess?" the girl asked her with a warm smile on her face. It was however interrupted when a girl complained loudly about how slowly she was going. It annoyed Maze, couldn't the girl just go another way. She turned around, and face the older girl, but remained hunched over, using the cane to hit the older girl's ankles, "Oh goodness, the youth of today so rude!" Maze remained in character as she spoke, "Clearly no one taught them to be polite to their elders, goodness gracious, you ought to be ashamed young lady!" Maze was sure that this would not help the situation with this girl at all, but Maze really couldn't help herself from acting like that. It was just too easy and she didn't even have to do much, the cane did all the work for her, she was glad she'd brought it with her.

Alice grinned widely at the older blond girl. "Alright grandma Roe! It's nice to meet you." She said, giggling at the voice the girl put on. She was funny! Alice assumed she was only a year above her, which would mean shew as in Diana's year. Alice nodded happily and twirled once more. "Yep! Princess Alice at your service." She said brightly, enjoying how her costume had been immediately recognized. As an older girl complained that they were slow, Alice turned her head to look at her. She let out a small gasp as 'grandma Roe' started to hit her ankles and admonished her in her grandmotherly voice. Alice had to cover her mouth with her hands to stop herself from giggling more, as she was sure that would escalate the situation. But the girl had been very rude. "We probably can be slower, if you want." She said innocently, purposely misinterpreting what the girl had actually been saying. It was a tactic that often worked on Diana when she said similar things. At least, it usually annoyed her enough to make her leave Alice alone for the moment.
