Even though Leda didn’t know all the names on her list, she knew this one from the common room. It was her job as prefect to know who was in her house, so she’d been waiting to see if she could find Violet, one of the younger ones, in the hopes of passing off her final rose in the basket.

It was Vi's second year at Hogwarts and she really didn't pay attention to school events. With the workload they were given and having to get used to casting spells with her wand, can anybody honestly blame her? Violet can't be the best at her work with distractions in the way, so it's no wonder she hadn't a clue what event was currently taking place. Vi just sees students skipping around with a basket of roses, handing them out? She witnesses a bit of the exchange in the common room. Vi didn't bother to stick around much, she left the common room to get a bite to eat and hopefully get some work done afterward.

Leda glanced up as another student came into the common room. Was that her? "Violet?" she asked quietly. If it was her, hopefully she would have responded to it.
