Since Conan had started school here, the boy never had the chance to explore the forest. He was told by many professors, many, many times to never venture out there. The Ravenclaw would always look towards the distance, looking towards the forest whenever he got the chance to. He always wanted to have a peak, but always held back. However, today was different and curiosity had gotten the better of him.

It was roughly before dinner, classes were over for the day and Conan's curiosity about the forest was growing. The weather wasn't too bad. Although it was a sunny day, there were a few clouds here and there, as well as a light breeze of the wind every now and then. Conan stood a few meters away from the entrance of the forest. It looked pretty dark the further you went in. He looked around him, making sure no one was following him, before slowly making his way inside.

Gregory was trying his best to keep his head down and out of trouble. The gift from his parents for christmas was already destroyed and he didn't want to lose more stuff. The hufflepuff wasn't sure what to do with himself but he often came outside because it was just an open space and he liked it. He was coming to the quidditch pitch regularly enough, not necessarily because he wanted to play quidditch but because he was trying to get better at flying. Though it still terrified him slightly. He'd come outside before dinner, the classes having been a lot and needing the fresh air. He spotted someone by the forest and decided to approach slowly, just enough to see who it was and that it wasn't Cassius.

But as Gregory approached and realized it was Conan, the person stepped into the forest. Gregory knew the forest was out of bounds, they weren't supposed to go in it. But maybe conan didn't know or didn't remember. So Gregory rushed after him. ”Conan?” he called out when he went in the same path as he was sure he'd spotted his friend taking. He took a further step inside and tripped over a tree root. He'd been too busy looking for his friend, he hadn't noticed the root.

Conan whipped his head when he heard a voice, thinking it was a Prefect or a professor, but the voice was familiar to him so it definitely wasn't either of them. However, it was a little too late to answer his friend, when he noticed Gregory had tripped on something. Conan quickly made his way over to his friend. "You alright mate?" Conan asked in concern for his friend, as he put out his hand towards his friend just in case he needed some help getting up.

Gregory was on the ground of the forest. He was sure he’d torn his hands and knees from the fall. It hurt but he was immediately looking up at his friend. His glasses had fallen off in the fall so he couldn’t quite make out Conan. ”Yeah, I’m okay,” he reached around him for his glasses. ”The forest is forbidden Conan.” he said, since this was what he was here to do, remind and warn his friend that this place wasn’t to be visited. Especially if it was just that Conan had forgotten that he wasn’t supposed to not go in.
