Open A Rosy Meeting

(Yellow rose, open after Claire)

Alice had enjoyed helping to deliver the roses last year, but this year felt even more special now that her sister was running the deliveries. Rose had given her a pretty flower crown of pink roses for this day, and Alice wore it with pride. The first person on her list was someone she knew, which she was happy about. Because of Diana, she knew pretty well where the Slytherin common room was, and she hoped Phineas would be there. As she arrived, she asked another Slytherin passing by if they could get Phineas Ellis for her. With the yellow rose in her hands, she waited patiently.

Phineas knew he was going to get tons of roses for Valentine's Day, so he was completely prepared when an older student informed him someone was asking for him at the door. He shot up and over to the passageway, so that he was almost breathless when he arrived and saw Alice standing there with a yellow rose. "'Sup," he said, flicking his hair back as if to say, Psh, yeah, another rose, no big deal, when in actual fact it was the first. He leaned against the stone door frame. Alice was one of those pretty girls who always made him feel sick and nervous. He never really knew what to say around her, and therefore mostly avoided her. Didn't want to make himself look uncool.

Alice smiled as Phineas appeared in the doorway to the common room, and giggled a little as he flicked back his hair. He'd always seemed like a funny guy to her, but she had never really talked to him. "Hi Phineas, Happy Valentine's day!" She said brightly. "Is it good so far? I'm about to make it better, I have a rose for you!" She grinned, handing it over. "Here you go." She said, then met his eye and felt a strange flutter as she handed over the rose. For the first time, she noticed he was pretty cute with really nice blue eyes. She pulled her hand back after handing over the rose and lingered, curious about his reaction to the note.
