Yellow, for Fleur Worth

Thankfully for the third year this last rose (although yes, still yellow) was for someone Sam knew by face and name, even if again she hadn’t necessarily spoken to the older girl before but they were housemates and Sam doubted that Fleur knew Sam’s name...or maybe recognised even her face. She would not blame her housemate, but now she could grab this opportunity to introduce herself. She mentally facepalmed at the thought, how could she have forgotten the most important thing of the rose delivery thing? Introducing herself. After all wasn’t that the polite and correct thing to do? She sighed and sat down on a sofa in the student lounge, deciding to take a five minute break. She did only have one last remaining rose, but she felt so tired already from running around the school (not literally).

Fleur walked into the student lounge and did a quick look through the people sitting there. She did not see Solomon or Rory, not even Evelyn was there today. The Prefect sighed no one interesting was in the room and she wondered what she should do now. Fleur was hardly interested in the younger students, she knew as a Prefect she should put more effort into the position. But it had been quite a surprise to her in the first place to receive as she never bothered helping people before. She wondered why Styx had picked her, but she seemed to be doing alright since she hadn't been pulled from her position at any point. Unlike her best friend who had to deal with a semester off from being a Prefect for hitting their classmate. The classmate did deserve it however. Sighing again Fleur started walking towards the back of the room to wait until her next class was going to be starting.

Sam could feel herself dozing off but she blinked really quickly a few times and sat up straighter. She could not allow herself to fall asleep, she had to finish delivering the roses, although she was so close to being done, and on top of that, she needed to study. So she could not waste time napping. That was what sleep was for - at night. Thankfully, the day was still young. Sam stretched before she glanced around the room, and her gaze happened to land on one of her prefects. She frowned slightly before she realised it was Fleur. She grabbed the rose and the note that had somehow detached itself and walked over to the Prefect. "Fleur? Hi," she said, trying to get her attention. "My name is Sam. I have a rose delivery for you." She gestured towards her hands. "There is also a note."

Fleur,

You're a beautiful person. Thanks for being my friend.

Noemie

Fleur was surprised when she heard her name being said. She turned and eyed the young girl who had just been sitting across the room. She hoped she didn't need help but was soon relieved to be getting a rose. She wondered what friend had sent the rose. "Oh thank you then," she said trying to be polite but also not start a conversation with the little girl. She often found the little housemates unintelligent and annoying. She moved her eyes to the note and opened it up, it was from Noemie. That was rather sweet of her, she did like Noemie her fashion and style also spot on. Fleur was jealous of the nice figure Noemie had, often feeling more like a curve-less twig herself. "Well, good day then."

Sam hadn’t expected Fleur to be this dismissive, and had she not been in a good mood the blonde definitely would have argued with the older girl. But then, she didn’t want to lose any house points over something so stupid. She sighed and waited for the girl to take the rose before she nodded. "Okay, you have a good day too," she said before she turned around and headed to the dorms.
