The day had finally drawn to a close and the last of the patients in the Hospital Wing had been cleared to once more attend to their dorms; retiring for the evening. Whilst she had the help of the other nurses on duty, today truly had proven to be her busiest day in the last few; since her arrival at Hogwarts. True enough, the pace of the day had nothing on her time at St. Mungo's, however, there was no denying that she had not expected Hogwarts to have much to offer in respect to injured students. Alas, with Quidditch only continuing to grow in popularity and more and more mischievous students solving their quarrels with violence instead of using their words - Lada had been inundated all day.

Making up the last used bed and flicking her finger in the direction of the washing basket to deposit any dirty bedding with her wandless magic, Lada headed for her office, setting herself down slowly into her chair and letting out a relieved sigh as she felt the weight and pain that had plagued her legs, feet and back all day finally feel some relief. She rested her head against the head rest of her chair, closing her eyes for a moment as she enjoyed the silence and the smell of the roses she had been gifted by one of her patients. Though, it had been the sound of footsteps tracking down the hallway that had brought her to awaken once more.

Offering a glance at her office door, she waited patiently for the source of the noise to show themselves, sliding her glasses off of the bridge of her nose and allowing them to dangle from the chord that held them around her neck.
"Please tell me zat you are not here with an injury. Zhere is only so much a Russian mother can take." she joked to whomever had entered, though her dry tone saying that she was speaking the truth. "Come in, sit. It does not matter either which way of if you are here for healing or something else. I will help you za best zat I can." she assured, leaning forward on her desk, hands clasped in front of her as she waited to hear what her company had needed of her.

Josephine was still settling into her new job as a nurse at Hogwarts in New Zealand. She was glad she had made the career switch from begin a personal stylist, but it was a large change, and even though she wanted to be a natural at her new job, the simple truth was that she was inexperienced. She had studied to be a nurse, working hard to earn herself a degree that could get her a more stable job in medicine rather than the one she had in fashion, but nothing could quite measure up to real life experience. And of that, she had little.

Not only was taking care of patients something that was new to her, but working with teenagers was as well. It wasn't something the woman had been used to, but it had been part of her reason for applying to this job. Josephine had a teenage sister, one who went to Hogwarts in Scotland, and because their grandfather had died recently, the girl was now in her care. Josephine was glad she was now taking care of Ella during the school holidays, rather than their awful prejudiced grandfather, but she still felt a but uneasy about suddenly having a teenager in her life. Here, she would be picking up on experience in that too, and she was glad to get the chance.

After a long day of working in the Hospital Wing, Josephine decided to head out to her office to get herself a cup of tea. It had been a busy day, and she felt like she earned herself some time to relax. But as she approached, she heard the voice of one of the other nurses call out to her. Josephine hesitated for just a moment. Lada was new too, just like her. But unlike Josephine, she had a lot more experience in the medical field. That much was obvious from simply watching her work. Josephine had mixed feelings about the older woman. On the one hand, she was curious about her past and would love to learn more from her. But on the other hand, she worried that the Lada's expertise would overshadow Josephine's own work, and that it would make her look bad in comparison. But even though that was a worry in the back of her mind, she knew she couldn't be rude to a colleague, especially not one she could potentially learn from. Josephine stopped at the Russian woman's office and smiled at her from the doorway. "I'm not a student, and no worries, not in need of healing. I do think they have all finally gone." She said with a small shake of her head. "It was a rather busy day, wasn't it?"
