Geo had attended her first Yule ball with her friends, so it was only fitting that for her last that she went with one of her best. The seventh year knew she still had a lot of making up to do, and the last few years hadn’t been easy for either of them, but maybe there was a chance that this was it, and any water left under the bridge would stay there. She had agreed to meet the Gryffindor at the ball, so the blonde had spent the afternoon in her dorm dressing for the occasion in a long black dress with floor length sleeves, before carefully heading down to the Great Hall.

It was surreal to think this would be the last one she ever went to. That six years previously had passed in a flash. Everything was different now from their first year and even if their time at Hogwarts hadn’t gone the way it had been planned, perhaps that was for the best. She entered the room, admiring the decoration and trying to take it to her long term memory, before casting her eyes around the room for her partner.

Jess had always expected she would be attending her final Yule ball with Leila but as was the norm now she would be going with her boyfriend Ulrich. Jess felt she got herself into a place where she was happy for them, she had one of her best friends back in her life and was in a better place than she had been in years. That best friend would be her date to the Yule ball. The reemergence of Geo had threatened to stir up some old feelings Jess thought long gone but that notion seemed to pass as quickly as it had surfaced, she was glad for that, the pair had gone through enough drama.

Having agreed to meet at the dance Jess got into her dress and made sure everything fit right. It was much more conservative than the dress she had originally set aside for her seventh year dance, but the circumstances weren't what she had hoped for and the dress no longer felt appropriate. Jess made her way down to the entrance hall and picked Geo out of the crowd and made her way over to the Hufflepuff. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting," She said kissing Geo's cheek and giving her a quick embrace. "I love your dress,"
