17th Annual (And final) Global Moderator Appreciation Day

Our Global Moderators, past and present, comprise a special group of people who joined this site for leisure and yet still took on the task, completely voluntary mind you, to help clean up, organize, and ensure the site that we all love runs as smoothly as possible. The task isn't always fun and I hear the admin can sometimes be a little tough. They have done this job day in and day out, often until they choose to leave the site or life leaves them in a position that they can no longer do this work or now, when the site is choosing to close its door. Without GMs the work of support members and the site would've been impossible. They are and always have been integral to the way this place has developed. Their work is tireless, often without recognition or even awareness that something has been done. It is easy to forget as the site has run smoothly that there are people making that happen.

Today is the site's last day, and we opted to commemorate that by ensuring that we had one last Global Moderator Appreciation day. Appreciating both past and present GMs for all of their work in the site. I hope everyone will join us in one last celebration of our amazing GMs.

You may not know all the names but here is a list of all of the GMs- Abby , Linda , Ghost , Pat , Donna Kait , Claire , Lovi , Maia , Mia, Marijke, Kiersten & Verity. Thank you all!

This year we'll giving all of the and old current GMs a star next to your main account, as a way to indicate as the site moves to being read only, that you were instrumental in helping keep the place going.

Despite the moniker "staff" y'all were just members who did all the things other members did to keep this site alive and volunteered to do a whole lot more, too.
