I'm Nate.

I am from the land of Oz and am older than I feel...

I've just found my way to this lovely place by happenstance recently and gravitated to what seems to be a really awesome community and a really active posting-base! This is my first time here and so I am extremely eager to get into roleplaying and meeting you all and hopefully finding some new friends along the way!

My only character here at the moment is Danton Burrows (who I am currently posting as), who I hope to have involved in Hogwarts New Zealand in some capacity as a staff member or a professor!

Short, sweet intro from me. Just wanted to make myself known so I'm not just a new name lurrrrrkin'.

I don't know if it would interest you but there's currently an application for a History of Magic professor, though it's closing very soon, and I would definitely recommend becoming more accustomed to the site and how everything works before applying for a professor position. There are plenty of other staff member positions within the school you could apply for though, from nurses to librarians to caretakers.

Thanks for the direction toward the documents for the site, Nick. They were a good read and helped me get a better feel of the board.

Jesse, I did indeed see the History of Magic position which was a huge coincidence when I signed up too! haha. I had Danton pegged as a history buff as is in terms of character, so it would be a pretty perfect fit. Alas, I can go other routes if I don't get it!

But again, thank you to all of you for the kind words of welcome. I might have to chase some of you up on those RP offers too. :D

Hey, Nate, welcome! As Rowan said, always thrilled to get a few more folks from down under around (I'm a kiwi but I live in the US, RIP). As you said (and can see), HNZ has a wonderfully active and friendly community so don't hesitate to reach out if you wanna chat or poke at some plot ideas! I have a few older adult chars who might vibe with Danton once you're feeling settled in 👍
