If there was one thing Ivelisse didn't like it was others making choices for her. Yet here she was, walking into the great hall in a dress that she hadn't even picked out herself. Her sister had bought it to wear but it ended up no fitting her and for whatever reason Ive had let her convince her to wear it so she wouldn't have to return it. It was far too pretty to return was what Ana had said and although she had reluctantly agreed to wear it at the time Ivelisse was quite pleased with it now. It fit her well and she did think she looked pretty in it. It was just.. yellow. Pretty, but very much Hufflepuff. Which made sense since her sister had been the one to buy it. It did seem like a good dress to dance in though and she was keen to test out that theory, heading straight for the dancefloor and giving her dress a little twirl. Yes, definitely good to dance in.

Eugene was working away waiting for Charlie to turn up, knowing it would be soon enough. He was taking some shots of the dancefloor, of some of the couples, and then he noticed a familiar face twirling in a rather beautiful yellow dress. He immediately raised the camera to capture the moment. He'd always enjoyed taking picture of Ivelisse, it helped that she seemed to be very effortlessly beautiful. He waited till she stopped her twirl and then waved at her, "Ive!" he called out, motioning to his camera, and trying to indicate for her to spin again so he could get another shot, ensure that there was a good picture of that.

Ivelisse smiled as she gave her dress a twirl, starting to appreciate it more and more with every second. Perhaps letting her sister pick out some clothes for her wasn't all that bad and she made a mental note to discuss it with her later. Having done a full twirl, Ive looked around when she thought she heard someone call out her name. She waved back at Eugene when she noticed him before realizing what he meant when he pointed to his camera. She twirled around once or twice more when she did, happy to oblige. Being in front of Eugene's camera wasn't anything new for her after all. "So, get a good shot?" She grinned when she had made her way over to him afterwards.

Eugene was more ready for the second picture he took of Ive twirling, He made sure he had a good angle and was ready for it. He took the picture as she twirled, holding the camera, to capture all of the moment. When she was done he stood up fully, and smiled at her. "Always!" he said to her. "You look really good Ive, and the spin just looked good, I couldn't help it," Eugene told her, explaining why he'd done it, but Ive had been his mondel a few times, he knew if anyone was used to it, it would be her. "How are you?"

Ivelisse had carefully made her way past a couple that danced into her way as she made it over to Eugene. "No worries," She waved her hand as if to say he didn't need to explain why he had been taking pictures. If anything, she was pretty used to seeing her friend wander around with a camera. To add to that they were at a school dance, which meant he was doing his job. Even if his job might not involve being her personal photographer. "And thanks." Ive added with a genuine smile. He had complimented her after all, which had immediately boosted her confidence for as far as that was still possible. "I'm good! Figured I'd see if this dress is any good to dance in before getting myself a drink. You got a lot of work?"

Eugene gave a warm smile, he didn't see Ive as much as he saw Bella or his boys but he liked spending the time with her that he did. She was always a very nice person to him. He was glad to here she was doing well. "Well, it's certainly a good dress to photograph," he told her, "Yeah, loads, but I'm hanging out with Charlie in a bit too, so not all work," he told her. Eugene wasn't sure if she knew who Charlie was outside of maybe classes. "Do you wanna grab a drink?" since she'd already said she'd been heading that way and he could take a small refreshments break.

Ivelisse grinned when Eugene mentioned her dress was a good one to photograph. She did think it was a lot prettier than some of the other outfits she had seen around, but she wasn't going to say those words out loud. "Cool." She nodded when Eugene talked his Accio work, slightly confused when he mentioned Charlie. "So I guess things with Bern didn't go too well..?" Ive questioned, wondering if he had heard more about that than she had. Perhaps she should've paid a little more attention to her friend after he had told her about asking the boy on a date. "Sure!" She nodded, grabbing Eugene's hand and dragging him along to the drinks table as to not lose him in the crowd.

Eugene gave a little shrug and nod, "Yeah, I think it fizzled out.., relationships are...overrated I think," he obviously didn't want to go any more into it than that, Charlie had told him a little and he didn't want to break that trust by telling lots of other people about it. He let Ive take his hand as they went through the crowd of people to where the drinks were. He didn't bother trying to capture any pictures just followed her through the crowd to the drinks. He then motioned to it, "What do you want to drink?" clearly offering to be the one to get it for her.

Ivelisse was a little disappointed Eugene didn't seem willing to tell her much about it. Or perhaps he didn't know a whole lot more than she did. She just had to promise herself to check in with Charlie later. "For sure." She nodded in agreement, although she wasn't quite sure whether she fully meant it. No, she did. For now. "Anything's fine." Ive smiled when Eugene offered to get her a drink. She looked around while he did, trying to see if anything remotely interesting was happening before turning her attention back to her friend. "So how are you enjoying taking photos for the yearbook? Is it a lot of work?"

Eugenge smiled at her and then nodded, grabbing them both butterbeer. He liked it and more than pumpkin juice. He offered her the drink. "It's a lot of work, but it's really fun. I'll be taking over next year, so it's gonna be a lot of work," he told her with a little smile. "Hows quidditch?" he asked, "I was cheering you on last game," he told her. "It sucked you got hit three times," he told her honestly, since he had enjoyed the game and had to admit it was probably rough to be hit a bludger.

Ivelisse happily took the butterbeer from Eugene when he handed it to her, nodding along when he talked about working for the yearbook. She was a little suprised to hear he'd be taking over but was thrilled at the same time. "That's great! And here you were doubting you'd be good enough at first." She grinned, recalling a conversation she had with him after he had just signed up for the yearbook. "Quidditch is good." Ive answered while faking a smile, probably for the first time ever in a conversation with Eugene. Quidditch wasn't good. For starters she could finally show her skills yet the alternate seeker kept showing her up. And then there was Celia, who she was sure would be happily targeting her and only her during their next practice. "Yeah, that was.. bad. Painful too." She nodded, feeling like Eugene couldn't have been more right in his words. It sucked and it still did.

Eugene hapened told that many people about him taking over accio, though he had known about it for a while about it. It just was becoming more and more real to him that this was going to be something happened. So it was time to start telling people. He didn't notice the stiffness of Ive's smile about quidditch. "Yeah? Not too badly though? And the healer was able to make everything better?" he had to imagine it was pretty painful to be hit with a hard bludger. He took a sip of his butterbeer. "Magical healing is so cool," he said.

Ivelisse nodded when Eugene asked whether the healer had been able to make things better after she had gotten knocked out of the game. "Well the damage wasn't too bad, just hurt a lot, so they could easily fix some things." She replied. Most of her hurt they had been able to lessen and it had mainly been the bruises she had to deal with for a while afterwards. Or the smaller things that had just taken a little time to heal. "..Except for maybe my ego" Ive added after a second with a strained chuckle.
