Lucas smiled shyly as he danced with Connor, feeling a little flustered by all this. He kept reminding himself he was being silly, that Connor was just his friend. But the romantic atmosphere at the dance was messing with his head. He could almost believe Connor was flirting with him, but that would be silly. But then Connor surprised him by asking if he could kiss him. Lucas's eyes widened and he felt himself go pink. "What?" He breathed, nervously licking his lips. He then took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay." He said. nervously, leaning in a little.

Lucas was so cute and so close, and it was the easiest thing in the world to lean down and capture his lips in a soft kiss, the movement feeling perfectly natural. This was exactly what Connor needed after the breakup with Nikko, and the more he dwelled the more he thought about how right it felt to kiss Lucas. They had been friends for years, maybe that was a good foundation for.... something else? It wasn't like he had anything to lose by asking, at least. He pulled back from the kiss, smiling at Lucas shyly. "Would you like to, um, to date...?"

Lucas closed his eyes and felt himself shiver when Connor kissed him. It was... nice. He couldn't believe Connor had actually wanted to kiss him. He supposed they weren't here as friends, then. But on a date. Had he made this mistake with Casper too? Was he just terrible at knowing when something was a date? His mind was spinning, and it took him a moment to open his eyes again. He flushed, looking up at Connor in surprise. "You want to date me?" He asked softly. Not that long ago, Lucas had been upset with Connor for dating Nikko, he had been angry and had been avoiding him. It was hard to remember why now, how had he never noticed how handsome Connor was? He supposed he had, but it had been a reason to envy him before. Now... he could feel his heart beating quickly. But Lucas couldn't quite believe he had understood correctly. "Why?" He asked, already mentally kicking himself for the question.

Connor couldn't help a small laugh when Lucas asked why Connor wanted to date him. "Because... I like you?" He said hesitantly. "You're... cute and nice, and I think it'd be fun?" He hesitated, trying to figure out the right words to say. "I mean, if you don't want to we can just... forget this whole thing, just... a stupid mistake. But... I really do think it'd be nice..." He said, giving a small shrug.

Lucas knew he was blushing furiously and it was only getting worse as Connor explained why he wanted to date him. It still felt surreal. "I mean- I just... thought you had asked me as a friend." He said honestly. "It's not like I haven't thought about it, but... you caught me off guard." He said softly, biting his lip for a moment as he pondered the question. He then nodded, smiling shyly. "I want to." He admitted finally. "I've never dated anyone before... so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong." He added quickly.

Connor laughed a little awkwardly at Lucas' comment, shrugging slightly. "I mean, I did... ask you as a friend, I wasn't... planning any of this. It just sort of... happened? Because you're... nice, and cute, and I really like you." He smiled shyly, revelling in the feeling. Everything had felt... bitter and empty since the breakup with Nikko, and it was nice to feel... good again. His smile only broadened when Lucas accepted, beaming at the younger boy. "Cool!" He nodded quickly at Lucas' request, laughing nervously. "I've only dated one person and it was... awful, so... you know, same." He grinned, feeling the heat in his cheeks. "Can I... kiss you again?"
