Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S2

After losing sight of the snitch, Elliot took the chance to check in on the rest of the team, especially Lucas and anyone who'd taken a bludger.

Tilly circled the pitch like a shark seeking out prey.

Lillith could see Abian following after her. She wondered if the other would follow suit and zoomed further.

Tilly swung down hard on a bludger. This time, it careened right into @Lucas Fletcher.

Amy flew off behind Abian to follow Lillith, who had the Quaffle.

After watch the chasers for awhile and content that the team was doing well, Elliot resumed his methodical scan of the pitch.

Hoping Lucas wasn't too hurt by the bludger, Tilly searched for a bludger to aim at her next victim target.

The pitch was really starting to warm up now. Taking a moment to pause and hover near center pitch, Elliot rubbed a hand over his face before resuming flying.

Tilly thought it was about time to take a nap. But she flew on.

Connor drifted off from Elliot's tail after a while, losing the seeker entirely when he had to dodge a bludger from his fellow beater. After surveying the pitch a while longer Connor saw an opening and shot towards a ball, aiming for Elliot. The ball flew past the seeker though, instead striking the other captain. "SORRY!" Connor called out quickly.
@Abian Hunter

Tilly watched as one of Connor's bludgers went off course and hit Abian. Oof.

Abian was following Lillith, ready to catch the quaffle if she passed it, but then got hit by a bludger instead. Ouch! Abian cursed under his breath, the second hit hurting more than the first. He waved off Connor, trying to downplay the bludger's impact.

Lucas was trying to recover from the bludger hit and focus on catching the snitch, but then another bludger hit him out of nowhere. He yelped as his broom spun out of his control, holding on for dear life for a moment as he tried not to fall off. This was his second hit, and it hurt.

As nice as it was to have his groove back, Connor was starting to feel bad about the amount of damage he and Tilly were doing this practice. So he flew alongside Lucas, planning to protect the younger seeker for a while and fend off any nearby bludgers.

Elliot heard a few bludgers knocked around, reflecively flinching as he moved to check where they were. He winced in sympathy when he saw who was hit, moving over to check on Lucas especially when the younger seeker got knocked around. "You alright?" He asked Lucas quietly, hovering nearby. "Hey beaters, give Lucas a break for a bit," Elliot called out to the team. Abian had also taken a nasty beating, and as proud of Elliot was of their beaters, he hoped his teammates were hanging in there.

Tilly's stomach sank a bit as Elliot told her and Connor to lay off Lucas. She couldn't help feeling guilty. Pulling away from most of the group, she moved back to defense.

Content that the team was doing okay, Elliot gave Lucas an encouraging look before getting back to looking for the snitch.

Tilly wondered if she could recreate Connor's wonder bludger from the Slytherin game. But not this practice. Some day, she'd get it.

After being distracted, Elliot resigned himself to starting his search from square one, having completely lost sight of the snitch.

Connor stayed by Lucas's side when Elliot came over to check on the younger boy, feeling even guiltier about his role in making Lucas this badly injured. He nodded quickly in response to Elliot's instruction and stayed close to Lucas's side once he resumed practice.

Tilly flew around and hit nothing.

Elliot turned his head at a sign of movement, disappointed when he couldn't spot anything.

Tilly's bat connected with a bludger and sailed right into @Hunter Robinson. She thought it was his second bludger of the game, so she felt a little bad for it, but she wasn't going to make a scene. One of these days, she hoped she didn't have to carry one of her teammates up to the Hospital Wing.

Lillith had slowed down a bit after getting distracted by her teammates getting hit by bludgers.

Connor stayed close to Lucas's side, protecting the alternate seeker from any incoming bludgers.
