Aerin found her way to the Professor's office. She had a issue she had to talk to her with and she hoped the Professor would allow her proposition. She couldn't believe that they would make students take the class, even with the fear of heights thing, so she had come up with a brilliant idea, or a half-brilliant idea that would still allow her to somewhat participate. She did like the idea of flying, it was similar to horse-back riding, but she just couldn't get herself to feel safe on the broom, especially when her cane could barely reach the floor. She sighed, and knocked on the professor's door thrice. "Professor Holland?" She said out-loud, enough for a person on the other side of the door to hear it.

Grace was busy going over her lesson plans for this semester, when she heard a knock on the door. She folded the paper she had been reading and sat up straight in her chair. "Come in!" She said, guessing it was a student who wanted to speak to her. She always tried to make time for that, and hoped she could help whoever it was.

Aerin felt for the door knob and opened it, "Good Afternoon Professor Holland." She greeted as she entered the door. "I have a problem, um.. with flying." She started, hoping this was the correct way to put it. "You see, I'm afraid of heights, as well as blind. And I know this is a required class, so I had a request regarding the.. classes." Aerin normally never spoke as formally as this, but she'd learn to have a different tone of voice when speaking to adults. They always liked it better anyways.

"What I'm trying to propose is that, when I fly, I'd appreciate it if I could stay a lot lower to the ground, around what I'm guessing is two meters?" She said, holding out her cane, ready to demonstrate something. "My cane can extend to two meters." She added, extending the cane to it's two meter length, almost hitting something off an object off a shelf. Oblivious to this, Aerin retracted it back into it's original state.

As the girl entered her office, Grace sat up straighter and waited for her to speak. It didn't take long, and Grace listened as the girl explained her situation. She had been made aware of the blind girl in her class this year, and had been wondering how she would feel about flying. She was glad the girl had approached her, and with a plan of her own, no less. Grace waited until she was done talking, before speaking herself. "Miss Park. Thank you for coming to me with this. I appreciate you coming up with a plan that fits within your own level of comfort. And running it by me." She said, looking at the cane for a moment. "And I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do that. Many students decide to fly lower to the ground because of a fear of heights. I don't grade those students down either, as it is the technique of flying that is important to me, not your daring." She said. "So this seems like an excellent idea to me. I could also offer you extra help if you need it, which I also offer to students with a fear of height of a fear of falling. But perhaps we can start by simply seeing how you do in lessons." She said. "I'll always be there to help out."

Aerin smiled, glad that she didn't have to fly any higher, "Thank you, Professor Holland." She said, simply and made her way out of the Professor's office.

(sorry about the late reply, i've been pretty busy with school and stuff :) )
