Open Spin the Bottle!

Diana noticed an older boy with red hair who she couldn't stop staring at for a moment, then quickly moved away. She couldn't help smirking as Jacob wandered in. This was going to be amazing. A few more people arrived, and Diana was a little annoyed to see Analei here. But if she was here in the hopes of kissing Edmund, she was out of luck. She glanced to her side and noticed Domi's weird reaction to Arvel. She glanced between the two of them, then sighed softly. She really didn't get Domi's taste in guys.

More people had settled in now than she had even imagined would join, and Diana felt on top of the world. "If everyone could take a seat." She said, pointedly looking at the disruptive girl. When she sat down as well*, Diana grinned and spoke to the group. "Welcome. Here's the rules." She said smugly. "I organized this with my friends, so I get to make up the rules. We're going to play spin the bottle, it's a game where you... well, spin the bottle and kiss whoever it lands on. Then afterwards, it's that person's turn." She paused. "Cheek kisses are acceptable, if you want." She added, though her tone implied she thought it was the coward's way out. "Let's begin!" She started to reach for the bottle, then paused and glanced at Domi. She honestly felt a little strange being the frist one, with all these eyes on her. She'd rather observe first, and quickly made a decision. "Domi, since you helped so much, you can start." She told her friend, graciously gesturing at the bottle.

-I will use a RNG for my choices but that's not mandatory.

-I just realized that it would be really nice if we notified the people we land on by typing @ and their name. The way I did here with Domi. That way they get a notification which will make the whole thing run smoothly! Please use that when you land on someone!

This also makes it clear for everyone who you're trying to kiss, even if your character doesn't know their name.

Please make sure you have permission if your character goes right for the kiss, either approach someone OOC or give them room in the RP to back out.

Domi listened as Diana began the game, almost bouncing with excitement. It was a surprise when Diana said she should go first, but certainly a pleasant one as Domi reached for the bottle, pausing to savour the moment as she looked around the room, grinning in anticipation. She held her breath as she spun it, and watched as the bottle crept slower and slower and finally stopped, pointing to the person right next to her. Laughing in delight, Domi looked up at her friend. "Diiiii!" Domi said cheerfully and cupped Diana's cheeks, kissing her sweetly on the lips for a moment before pulling back, grinning brightly. Now Domi had kissed both of her best friends, and that was definitely an upside to this game.

Diana watched the bottle spin around closely, curious who Domi would have to kiss. But then it slowed down and came to a stop right as it pointed at her, and she blinked in surprise. She had chosen Domi so she wouldn't have to go first, but it seemed like the universe wasn't having it. She glanced at her friend, immediately uncertain about all this. Sure, she had figured she would have to kiss a girl or two and was even kind of curious about it, but Domi was her best friend. Domi didn't seem to have any such doubts, however, as she kissed her without hesitation. It was strange, and Domi's lips were soft and she smelled very sweet. But Diana didn't mind when it was over. She was sure she was blushing a little, which annoyed her.

She quickly reached for the botttle and gave it a spin. She was glad to see it land on a boy, and an older one at that. She didn't really know the older Hufflepuff boy well, though she remembered him from a meeting they had before Hogwarts. Hadn't he also once given her a rose? Either way, she was glad to get to kiss an older boy who was pretty cute, assuming he wouldn't reject her horribly. She moved over to him, but didn't have Domi's daring to go straight for it. She stopped with her face near his, meeting his eyes and silently asking for permission to kiss him on the lips.

Hearing Diana's voice again, Jacob turned to tell her to shut up when he realized she was, in fact, leading this. The third year scowled as he followed everyone else in sitting down, taking a seat beside Willow and looking around. He listened to the rules which were easy enough and watched as Diana's friend went first, rolling his eyes went it landed on Diana. Then it was her turn and he crossed his fingers hoping it would land on anyone but him, breathing a sigh of relief when it didn't.

Willow turned around as someone sat beside her. "Hey Jacob, It is good to see you" she said smiling at his comment about her hair. "thank you" she said. "they said that blondes have more fun, but I got bored of it. red is so much better right it fleur" she said.
the conversation didn't go much further as soon one of the girls, Diana if Willow remembered right, started explaining the game. it was pretty simple. Willow looked around the circle a little unsure. there seemed to be a lot more girls here than boys. it didn't take a Ravenclaw to figure out that chances were that her first, and possibly second kisses would be girls. and she wasn't really sure how she felt about that but there was no way she was going to back down.

OOCOut of Character:
If anyone happens to spin willow. you have my permission to godmod the kiss

Fleur watched as the first kiss happened, which seemed to be between the host of this event and one of her friends. She glanced sideways at Willow and smiled a little. "Definitely. Red hair is the best." She said, glancing back at the game. It was kind of strange to think that she might be kissed soon, and she played a little awkwardly with her braid. She pulled her knees up to her chest and glanced around at the people here, recognizing a few more from her classes.

Talk of a game of spin the bottle was a buzz in the Hufflepuff common room so Sage almost felt obligated to go when the time came. She didn't have many friends and didn't really do much outside of the Wild patch club so it would be good for her to broaden her social horizons, even it risked being kissed by someone unsavory. She made her way to the infamous abandoned classroom where a group of students had already gathered, she didn't say anything as she joined the group and sat among them as the game began.

Spin the bottle was simple enough that Nixon felt no need to fully listen to the rules. Instead he partly payed attention as the game began and the first kiss between the girl hosting the party and one of her friends was initiated. He looked to the other people in the circle, wondering how everything would unfold and back to the bottle as it was spun a second time only to realize it had landed on him and he would need to be involved in the game sooner than he thought. Swallowing, Nixon looked up as the host made her way over to him, recognizing her as one of the people he had met when he was writing his first article for the hogwarts monthly. Her name escaped him in the moment and he would have asked for her name and asked for permission to kiss her on the lips but when their eyes met it was clear he didn't need to ask either of those things. Not wanting to stall the game or seem uncomfortable with what was happening, Nixon quickly placed his hand on the girl's cheek and kissed her softly on the lips, pulling away a moment later and looking to the bottle in the middle of the circle.
As the girl returned to where she was sitting, Nixon asked, "Is it my turn, now?" and when she nodded he moved to spin the bottle. Watching it closely, Nixon looked up as it stopped and felt surprised when he knew who he would be kissing next. He wasn't sure if he was relieved to kiss someone he knew or hesitant to kiss someone that was his friend, but he tried not to show it as he moved over to Marlowe. "Do you want a kiss on the cheek?" He asked, thinking a kiss on the cheek was more appropriate than outright kissing Jocelynn's sister.

Godmod has been approved! + PSA Daphne is randomly choosing who the bottle lands on for my characters :D

Diana had now kissed two people in a row in a very short time, and she was definitely a little distracted by that. As much as she loved Domi as a friend, she had to say she had enjoyed the second kiss a lot more. There was just something exciting about kissing a boy, even if she didn't particularly like this one better than any of the others here. She felt a slight smirk touch her lips as she looked around the circle. If spin the bottle was a competition, she was definitely winning so far.

Analei rolled her eyes when Diana was landed on first. Of course she was. She had probably somehow jinxed the bottle so it would always land on her. She wasn't impressed, however, when the bottle landed on Nixon for Diana to kiss. She didn't watch, but instead looked at her hand, gently placing one finger on Arvel's leg for a brief second, just to show her support. Analei still hated the older boy. She held her breath when Nixon spun the bottle. It would be just awful if it landed on her or Arvel - knowing that if he had to kiss Nixon again it would probably make him very upset. Thankfully it didn't land on either of them, but she imagined it was still just as hard having to watch him kiss someone else.

Arvel tried to dodge Domi's gaze, but in doing so his eyes landed upon somebody he was even less happy to see. Of course Nixon would be here. At least there were enough people that the chances of having to kiss one particular person were pretty slim. But that didn't stop Arvel's heart jumping when the bottle stopped on Nixon. Arvel looked down, not really wanting to watch Diana kiss the lips he'd been thinking about for months. He'd managed not to think about Nixon so much lately, but he wasn't over him, and when Analei rested a finger on his leg he found himself grateful for the momentary distraction. He gave her a small, private smile, a silent communication of thanks. But it wasn't over. Nixon still had to spin the bottle. Arvel held his breath, only exhaling when it landed on Marlowe. That was the girl from the Valentine's Dance - the one Arvel had accidentally stolen Nixon away from. And now she was getting a chance to kiss him. In a funny way, that made Arvel feel a little bit better. But not enough. He poked Analei's leg gently, realising this would probably be his distraction from now on any time the bottle landed on Nixon.

Marlowe was excited, she'd never been kissed before and the hopefulness of getting to kiss Nixon was overwhelming as she watched the first kiss take place. Side-glancing at her sister, since she dragged Jocelynn there and hadn't even told her what the party really was for. Next turn was the head girl, Diana and she got Nixon. She could feel a ping of jealousy as the girl moved over the Nixon and Nixon reached up to the girl's face and kissed her. Nixon spun and this time she had a weird feeling in her stomach as the bottle began to slow it's spin as it came towards her. Her heart was thumping as she looked from the bottle pointing at her to Nixon was who getting closer and closer to her. She couldn't believe her luck, this was entirely magical and she wondered if he wanted to kiss her as much as she did him. Until she heard his words, was it because she was Jocelynn's sister? A kiss on the cheek wouldn't do and she glanced towards Jocelynn briefly before shaking her head. Moving her face closer Marlowe puckered her lips and kissed Nixon, wishing only slightly he hadn't hesitated and kissed her like he'd kissed Diana. After a few seconds she pulled away and looked at the ground almost able to hide her happiness.

Marlowe had to spin the bottle now and she wished to get Nixon again, but she knew luck was probably not on her side. Her hand placed on the bottle spun and she watched it go around and around and around until it finally began to slow down. It landed on Analei, or was it Arvel? She knew she did not want to kiss Arvel, he was nice sure, but he also stole Nixon's attention when she went up to the older boy at the Valentine's Day dance. The two were sitting so close together she hoped no one thought it was Arvel. Would anyone call her out if it was? She made her way over to her roommate, not looking at Arvel at all."Well, guess I spun you so, how you want to do this?" She asked with a nervous smile on her face. She never thought she'd be kissing a girl, but she was glad it was at least someone she knew and was nice. Even if her choice in friends was not the best.

@Analei Louw

It seemed like it took forever, and Analei could barely suppress a sigh. She gave Arvel a small smile when he poked her leg. It had been such a bad start to the game, but the two could barely leave now - it wasn't too much that she cared about what Diana or Jacob would say if they left, but she did admit she cared about what everyone else would say. Analei refocused on the game as Marlowe spun the bottle. The blonde wasn't entirely sure where it had landed, but she felt her breath hitch in her throat when she noticed Marlowe coming towards her. Analei smiled at the pink-haired girl as she came closer, asking her how she wanted to do it. The blonde didn't ever think that her first kiss would be with a girl; she was pretty certain she liked boys. Taking a deep breath, and a quick side glance at Arvel, she thought screw it. Analei closed the gap between the two of them and placed a kiss gently on Marlowe's lips. This was it? This was what kissing was? It didn't do anything to her. What a weird way for people to show affection. Analei moved back, not making eye contact with anyone, feeling weird. Maybe if it were with someone she actually fancied, it would be a different feeling. It took a second for Analei to remember that it was her turn to spin the bottle, and she felt more nervous about doing this than when her roommate came to give her a kiss. Spinning the bottle, she watched it until it slowed, pointing at a Slytherin girl that Analei didn't know very well. Her heart sank a little bit that it was another girl, but there were definitely more girls than boys there, so the odds were against her. Better this Slytherin girl, anyway, than Diana or Jacob - or Nixon. Analei moved towards the red haired girl, stopping just inches from her face so she could close the gap, or turn for her cheek if she chose.
@Leda Layton

Jemma had meant to go to the spin the bottle game with Jake, but he had already left before she had caught up with him. The Gryffindor heard about the game from one of her friends, and she had decided to step out of her comfort zone and attend. Brayden had helped her practice when she had asked so that she wouldn't embarrass herself. The Gryffindor girl slipped into the room quietly, joining the circle since the game had already started.

When Leda had signed up for this game, she thought it would be about dares or something fun and normal. Unfortauntely for the Slytherin these students seemed to have some kind of weird obsession with kissing, as though that was any fun. Luckily she'd already kissed someone in the school so she knew what it felt like, but she didn't exactly think it was very nice, in fact she'd quite hated it. The idea of kissing a complete stranger here too was even worse. Her heart thumped in her chest as the bottle landed on her, and looking around the room there wasnt alot she could do to get out of it. As she saw the blonde Hufflepuff crawl her way over to her, she tried to suppress a grimace. She hasn't kissed a girl before though didn't expect it to be much better. As Analeis face was in front of hers, she shut her eyes tight for a second and lent forward quickly, giving her lips the quickest peck she could muster. That would surely have to count. Wiping her mouth on the back of her sleeve for everyone's benefit, she moved to spin the bottle and see which poor soul she'd have to make contact with next. The sooner she could leave this game the better. She watched as it came to a stop against a boy from her house, and glancing up with a nervous shrug, she sat there glumly until she realised she needed to move, and reluctantly she crawled up towards him, thinking how much easier this game would have been for her if she knew anyone.

Sapphire had found Kira hiding nervously in the dungeons. Apparently, there was some game or something that she wanted to do but was too afraid to go alone. Rolling her eyes, Sapph took her hand and dragged Kira with her up to the abandoned classroom without another word. When she stepped into the room, she paused as she took in what was going on. Spin the bottle? Really? She noticed that they were late. Was Leda really moving to kiss Derek? Okay then, Sapph shrugged, dragging Kira over to an empty pair of seats. She waved at Diana. Of course it would be Di and her group to organize a giant game of spin the bottle. Sapph plopped down, crossing her feet over Kira's and popping a sucker in her mouth. She was here for moral support alone- there was no way she was kissing anyone in this room.

Kira had been extremely nervous ever since she'd heard about this game. She'd been hesitant at first, but after a while, she had decided she wanted to play. She had never kissed anyone before. And with no chance of Caelan noticing she existed, she had decided playing was a risk she needed to take. She just... couldn't go alone. After some quick thinking, she went down to the dungeons to wait. Her suspicions were right. Sapph pulled her to the abandoned classroom. Her heart jumped into her throat as soon as they walked in. There were so many people here. Swallowing nervously, Kira took a seat next to Sapphire and waited.

Derek had been surprised to be confronted by a girl he didn't know but who clearly knew him. He thought this would be fine, it was playful fun. He was committed to Emilia, but he didn't want to miss out on other fun just because he was in a relationship, if anything the amount of people there was the best opportunity to get involved and get to know a whole bunch of people quite personally. He was saved thankfully by Diana who came to his defence and he flashed the girl a thankful smile. "Cheeks kisses are as good," the boy agreed wholeheartedly. He would just do that, and would've likely done that even if it had annoyed Diana. But the game got underway, and he watched as people awkwardly kissed the other person they had spun for. the bottle landed on him, by a girl a little older than he was, a year above him and he grinned as she approached him. He turned his head a little, "Just on the cheek," he told her with a little smile, leaning his face towards her as she gave him a quick kiss. He let her retreat before moving forward to spin the bottle himself. It spun a few times and landed on a hufflepuff girl in his year, Maggy something. He crawled over and gave her a little smile, hopeful that she'd be okay with just a little kiss on the cheek. It was all in good fun that much was for sure.

Leda was thanking her lucky stars that she'd managed to land on someone who was sufficiently kissing the others on the cheek, and despite the colour hers were turning, she was grateful that was all she had to do. Returning go her seat she glanced across the room to see a familiar face. Why would Mervyns girlfriend be here? She glared at the Slytherin, watching her closely to see what she would do during her turn. Any funny business and Leda wouldn't hesitate to tattle to her best friend. There was no room for that kind of dishonesty and besides, she hoped they would break up soon so she'd have him back anyway.

It didn't matter what the girl positioning herself as leader of this event said, Acacia didn't like that Derek was here. It was clear that her complaint was falling on deaf ears though, so she reluctantly sunk into the seat next to Derek, leaning over to hiss, "I'm watching you," into his ear. Her entire mood was soured now, sitting glumly as more of her roommates walked in. Acacia would have loved to sit with Maggy or Analei and get to know them better, but now she was stuck here babysitting Emilia's terrible boyfriend. However excited her friend had been about this guy, Acacia was sure now that he didn't deserve her. She watched, giving a warning glare as some girl landed on Derek, glare not abating as he kept it to cheek kisses. Sure he was behaving now, but how would he have acted if Acacia hadn't called him out? She hated to think what Emilia would say if she could see this.

The boy dating her roommate Emilia was spun and the girl who spun him kiss him on the cheek. She looked around unsure if there was anyone there she'd really want to kiss. Of course Maggy wasn't really too sure who she wanted to kiss. It did seem sort of like a contest, this kissing game and she wondered if the tone the Slytherin girl used about kissing on the cheek was meant to show that it wasn't really a suggested activity. Looking back the boy began the spin the bottle and it stopped pointing at her. She looked around the room and could see Acacia glaring at her, she was close to Emilia. She did think Derek was an ideal looking guy, she wouldn't mind getting the chance to kiss him but she didn't want to have a lot of issues with her own roommate. But surely if he was here part of him wanted to possibly not be with Emilia. She did think it was a little creepy, the way he crawled over to her. As he came close to her face she was confronted with what to do and decided it'd be better for both of them if he just kissed her cheek. So she turned her face slightly away from him and offered her cheek.

Once Derek left it was her turn to spin the bottle. Sure it had been spun a few times now and she knew what was going to happen but she wasn't too sure who she would hope for it to land on. Around it went until it landed on Arvel Ayers, a boy in her house and year. She heart sank slightly having her hopes that it might have landed on Analei instead, like it had for Marlowe. At least they knew each other well, she hardly knew Arvel, never having the nerve to really speak to him before. Moving over towards him Maggy glanced at the people around the circle before her eyes stopped on his. "I'm not a chicken if you aren't," she said quietly referring to that she'd be willing to do a kiss on the lips. She didn't want to be the only one there, besides Derek, to only get kiss cheeks. She could be turned into a laughing stock, the only girl no one wanted to kiss.
@Arvel Ayers

Willow watched as the bottle kept spinning and people kept kissing. about half of the people in the room had been picked by now and she wasn't among them. part of her was a little glad. she had never kissed anyone before. But she was also impatient. she wanted to be part of the game goddamit. she did not want to be seen as a chicken, even if she had no control over where the bottle landed. She saw a few more familiar faces enter, Jemma her room and teammate, along with sapphire a girl from Slytherin she had had a snowball war with earlier in the year. actually, a snowball war would be more fun than this boring waiting game watching people she didn't know very well kiss.

Jacob slid closer to Willow to leave space for Jemma if she wanted to join them. He glanced briefly at Sapphire and then returned his attention to the game. The Gryffindor was happy to see Derek stick to cheek kisses. He'd probably have yelled at him if he'd done anything else, and judging by what he'd walked into earlier so would the girl who had been yelling at him before. As the bottle landed on Arvel, Jacob leaned closer to Willow. "10 knuts says he chickens out" Jacob whispered behind his hand.

Willow shifted a little closer to fleur to allow space for Jacob to shift over to let the newcomers in. she turned as Jacob whispered in her ear betting that the boy would chicken out. she wasn't sure if chickening out meant a cheek kiss or no kiss but she didn't mind. "you're on. ten knuts says that he won't" she whispered back. ten knots was not much, what would it buy a couple of owl treats or a few lollies. and if it made the game more fun then it was worth it.

Jemma scooted into the circle beside Jacob as he made space for her. Willow was on his other side, and Jemma grinned at the girl. “Sorry I’m late. I didn’t want to miss this fun.” she said brightly. “Kissed anyone yet?” Jemma asked Jake quietly.
