It hadn't been a very good game for Rory, in the whole catalogue of games for him, this had not been a good one. He was tired and frustrated and wondered why nothing wanted to go right for him. Sure, he'd passed the ball which had resulted in the younger chaser scoring, but he hadn't scored. He had failed to score twice, had been caught on the wrong side of the pitch, hit twice with a bludger, both times had been utterly pointless. He wanted to punch someone, and while his anger coursed through him, as he made his way to the hospital wing to get check over Rory could feel his anger give way to tiredness. Of course in this final and most important year in the school, of course when he needed the quidditch to work out for him the most, it didn't. Rory didn't want to face the prospect of not getting on to a team after school. What would he do if he didn't? What other skills did he have? Maybe he could beg his parents, apologise for his actions and pretend he had seen the errors of his ways to just not have to fact life after hogwarts so alone. Swallow his pride and forsake his heart. When had life gotten so complicated?
Rory walked into the hospital wing, and after a few instructions from the nurse sat down on one of the bed, pulling off the remainder of the uniform till he was down to his t-shirt and trousers. They needed to see what kind of damage he had cause, but Rory felt like it was just a few bruises. He sat on the edge of the bed, feet planted on the ground, his head in his hands. He was curled over slightly, easing some of the aches in his back but not the more recent ones at his front. He was doing the wrong thing obviously. He could do it on his own. He had to go back home. He'd go home over christmas, just like Aonghas wanted, he'd say sorry, he'd do whatever he needed to to make it up to them. If he couldn't play well enough on a student team in his final year, then what hope did he have at getting a job playing professionally. Hopefully the nurses wouldn't take too long and he'd be able to go hit something, go back to the anger he'd felt when the match had ended, he preferred that to what he was feeling then.

Therese was enjoying her time as always. She was really proud of her team and house to win the quidditch game from Slytherin. The brunette was hit by a bludger though and it really hurted. She was told to check things in the hospital wing just in case so she stopped by. When she walked over to the nurse and went sitting on a bed she was glad to hear the damage wasn't so big. She thanked the nurse and was glad nothing bad was there. In her uniform still she walked further and when she saw more players sitting she noticed Rory between them. He wasn't looking very happy. And she couldn't blame him. She would not be happy too if they had lost, but for Therese winning wasn't anything. So she could let that easily go. Therese walked over towards him and smiled while looking at him. '' Hi Rory.'' She started and hoped that he wasn't hurt too much too. He got hit too by a bludger. '' Can you forgive me for blocking your shot?'' Therese asked but smiled afterwards. She ment it as a joke but she felt bad for him as well. At the game he seemed irritated too and she hoped that everything was ok with him.

Rory signed deeply, he had to come up with a plan for his next step if he was to cave and return to his family. It was as his mind filtered through that idea and he lost focus on what was going on around him in the hospital wing. He needed to be sure what to say, how to say it, when to say it. If he was to return home there would need to be a lot of apologising, and he'd probably end up having to be in the dog house for a while 0 figuratively. He could imagine that for a little while he wouldn't be able to sleep in the house but he'd be as close to home as he'd be able to be with the choices he had made. It also wasn't like there was anything interesting going on around him. The room was filled with quidditch players like him who'd been hit with bludgers. Rory didn't want to talk to any of them, he was too frustrated by all of the players in both teams. However, much like everything in his life recently, one of the last people he had wanted to talk to was in front of him and talking to him. He rubbed his eyes briefly before looking up at her. Oh Therese. How beautiful was she becoming, how he could've loved her.
Rory was tired and his body exhausted, though he was attempting to sit in a position that hurt neither side of him, and looked at the girl he had dated, had gotten so close to loving but never had because of his family. How little that matter now. He had turned against his family losing everything and it hadn't been in time for him to really give them a shot. Therese would never know either, how close they might've actual come to him fully committing to them. It didn't matter though, he would go home, he couldn't manage without them, he could live without real love, he could be in a relationship when he didn't love the other person. But, her words were light and friendly, she was so unaware of the internal struggle that boiling just below the surface, and despite himself he smiled at her, "Ye were just daeing your job," he couldn't be mad at her, she had been playing her role in the team as much as he had been playing his, that was what they had to do. "I dinnae know if ah can forgive yer beaters though," he kept his tone light, but his exhausted body was tense. He sighed again, "Quidditch eh? Great but painful,"

Therese knew how bad a bludger could hurt. Quidditch was also a painfull sport in that way. And sometimes she could try and understand Sofia her anger but at the same time fair to the sport. Therese had lost her favorite aunt because of this sport. But she knew how much Gabriel liked to play though. It were two different opinions and Therese could understand both. She hated seeing Sofia dealing with life without her mother. She wanted to help but she had no idea where to begin. At least she wanted to let her know she would be there for her if she needed her. But since she was playing quidditch too, Sofia could be mad at her too. But Therese couldn't blame her cousin for that. But she wanted things to be positive for all of them after all. When Rory smiled at her and seemed to be more painfull than she was she smiled shortly back. She was glad that Rory saw it that way, that she played her part too. Ofcourse she did. '' Your right. I was indeed. But if I would want someone to score it would be you.'' Therese smiled friendly towards Rory and looked at how he was doing. He was a bit mad at the beaters from Hufflepuff it seemed. And Therese hoped that, that was just the emotions from the game. Rory had called someone something like an elephant she thought and he was just frustrated it seemed. '' I seem to be hit every game since last year. How are you doing now? Do you have a lot of pain?'' Therese commented and asked the boy in front of her. Therese loved to take care of others, but she knew the nurses did a great job here.

She kept standing in front of his bed and was glad to see that Rory seem to be talking to her. Therese just hoped that they ould remain friends. Their time together was amazing, but it always felt like she was giving more than he was. Rory always seem to be holding back, but with everything. Like if he couldn't be himself completly. Because he was never rude or mean to her. But he was too others like that. Therese just wanted him to be happy. And she was there for him if he needed her. They could still hang out? She figured if he liked. Than she smiled at his comment of quidditch. '' That's just exactly like it. I never thought I would play myself. But I really like it.'' Therese said. She never really had thought about playing quidditch, but this keeper position was just perfect for her. Therese could never play as a beater she figured. She didn't want to hit people with something that could hurt them. The brunette went standing a bit closer and smiled at a nurse that walked by. '' So.. your last year right? That must be strange?'' Therese stated and thought of the fact he wasn't around here anymore. She would gonna miss him for sure. Therese was wondering if they would see eachother after Hogwarts too. Or that they just went their own way.

Rory shook his head at her statement, if they were still together it might've sweet, but they weren't dating, he wasn't even too sure they were friends. Certainly he'd ended things between them a little better than how he'd done so with Anabelle so maybe that was why they could remain somewhat friends, while he and Anabelle hadn't at all. But, Rory decided to just let it go, he wasn't bothered by how she addressed him or how friendly they were towards each other. He had been friends with Therese once, and maybe they had the chance to be friends again. if he went home, they couldn't be any more, if he returned to his family he would need to separate entirely from her and everyone else at this school. Gaining forgiveness would likely mean leaving this life behind and while three years ago he wouldn't have even blinked at such a decision it was more difficult now, he was entirely torn between two places. Though that wasn't even true right now he faced both versions of his future crumbling apart. Rory had actually forgotten that Therese had been hit by a bludger, in his focus he tended to zone out from others. "It's manageable. Hows yers?" he replied his body relaxing slightly as he just knew that staying tense would do more harm than good.
Rory had always been nicer to Therese than he likely was with anyone else. She was different, she had a different effect on him than most others. Their friendship had felt natural and dating had been nice. Though he'd never been fully in it, since prior to this year his life had been set, it had frustrated him at times with her, since he could see a future or a life they could've had, where he hadn't had the pressures sitting in his head. Towards the end of their relationship he'd actively avoided her, flirted with others and tried to just get out of it, knowing that he had to break it off. He'd been reconsidering his future then, but he had been in it enough to do it for her. "Most ae ma family play," the boy replied with a shrug, he had always wanted to play and he was glad he had, because unless he did go back to his family it was the only prospect he had after school and after that performance he wasn't too confident in it either. He noticed Therese approach slightly and he ever so slightly shifted upon the bed, moving so that she could sit with him if she wanted. "Aye," he replied with a heavy sigh, "Certainly strange," he spoke softly and kept his gaze away from Therese, he rubbed his eyes and looked back at her, "Honestly ah'm a bit worried aboot, ah wis relying a bit on this game tae impress some scouts but the game dinnae turn out like ah'd hoped," he kept his tone light, he didn't want to make her feel bad, but he didn't really have others to tell this to. "Ah dinnae know what ah'd dae if no quidditch, would rather another year or somethin' tae figure some stuff oot,"
