As the term wound down he was finding himself to be quite a lot busier than before if only because he had exams but because of the other things that he was doing at the same time. The boy was busy and he was quite happy to be too. But he was finding himself rushing around a little more, it was entirely due to his own desire that he was so snowed under with all of this work, but that wasn’t the worst thing. He had been looking for a specific book in the library for a while and upon finding it had then taken it to the student lounge, the student lounge was louder and there were more people about, he was able to blend far more into the background that he could in the library, where people were moving about for books even in the little corners he liked to study in. It was however a while ago that he had gotten to the student lounge and though he had a lot to study the boy was focusing a little less upon his school books and far more upon the comic book he had brought to read during the little study breaks he would give himself. The boy was content, a smile upon his face and reading happily through what was clearly a well read comic book. It wasn’t what he was supposed to be doing but he it was what he was doing, and he was enjoying it.

Ava had been looking for Philip everywhere. Where could that silly boy be? She needed his opinion on her latest sketch before she painted it for her Papa. She needed to start as soon as possible but she was finding that the Slytherin boy was frustratingly elusive today. She popped her head into the student's lounge, looking around in hopes of seeing him there. She let out an aggravated sigh when she failed to spot him. Boys were so unreliable.

There was something, however, that did catch her interest. She noticed a boy by himself over in the corner with what looked like a comic book. Momentarily distracted, she drifted over. He didn't seem to notice her right away. She folded her hands behind her back and tilted her head, looking at the cover of the comic curiously. "Whatcha reading?" She asked casually.

Vader looked up from his comic book, a little startled by the person who had approached him, since he had definitely not seen the girl coming, being too engrossed in the work he wasn’t supposed to be doing. Reading muggle comics would not help him pass his magical exams, but he didn’t spend much time reading his comics so wrapped up generally in everything else that he had to do. The gryffindor looked at the girl and then at the comic and held it up for her to be able to read what it was, ”It’s a comic book,” the boy wondered if she knew what that was, from what he had gathered about the magical world, comics were not all that common in the magical world, despite what Vader believed to be a whole host of possibilities what with the magical world having moving pictures. The boy didn’t know if the girl would know it, ”It’s about spiderman, whose a superhero with spider powers,” the gryffindor went on to say to her, trying to almost explain what it was to her in case she didn’t know, assuming that she didn’t know what it was. He was also hopeful that she wouldn’t bring up that he was doing that rather than studying.

Ava smiled brightly. "Ooooh I know him," She chirped happily. "Peter Parker right? I never read any comic books, though. I only saw cartoons, though I liked X-men more. Is spider-man your favorite? I always liked Gambit. Do you like X-men at all?" She held out her hand. "I almost forgot, my name is Avaria Lockwood. Nice to meet you!" She greeted him brightly. She liked how her name was so close to her dad's, it made her feel like they were closer even when they were far away from each other.

Vader was surprised that the girl knew what it was, she hadn’t read any of it, but apparently had seen it. Which meant that she had to at least be a little muggle, a family member of just someone within her family was certainly muggle. The gryffindor shrugged at the question, he did like Peter Parker and spiderman, but maybe not enough to call him his favourite. He shrugged at the question that followed too, ”I don’t mind it,” he admittedly honestly, ”I’ve not read a whole lot of that one,” the boy could imagine that if this girl was asking about that then she liked that one. He took her hand and shook it, ”Do you like the X-Men?” he asked as he let go of her hand. ”Whose your favourite?” he avoided giving her his name, and instead focused on what they were talking about, about the comics that it appeared they both had an interest in, ”I’ve always just preferred the Avengers ones, like captain america and thor,” the boy added, just so he could counter not particularly liking what she had brought up with something that he did know far more about.

Ava beamed happily, sitting down at the table with the boy. "Yeah, they're pretty cool." She told him. "I like Nightcrawler, he's really fun. Being able to teleport would be cool! And he's so furry and blue, I bet he's got really soft hair. And the tail! I would love to have a tail." She chattered happily. "I used to love watching cartoons with my Mama. She really liked the Avengers too, though I liked Loki. He was so mischevious. Who was your favorite? I didn't think anyone here would know any superhero stories! Let's be friends, we can talk to each other about all kinds of stuff!" She told him with a wide grin, her blue eyes gleaming brightly.

Vader smiled at the girl, Ava when she smiled, he liked the ability to talk about comics, maybe Abian would like this girl too. He was also someone that he imagined would enjoy comics and talking about them with others. The gryffindor smiled as she said which one was her favourite, Nightcrawler, ”Isn’t he the one that’s really smart?” the boy asked, he didn’t know which one was right but he was keen to learn more about it because it was quite interesting. He liked the idea of watching the cartoons with their mother. He hadn’t watched too many cartoons with his parents, but certainly a number with his sisters when they’d been born and grown up. ”I liked Loki a lot, but my favourite avenger was probably Thor,” the boy admitted, he like the mythology, he liked the power and the hammer, ”Him or Captain america, i just love those ones in the avengers,” he nodded at her, ”Oh yes!” he said, he didn’t get many opportunities to talk about comics so he’d be happy to spend a little bit of time talking about it with her, ”Did you ever see the old muggle films that they made years ago?”

Ava smiled brightly. "Oh, no, no, that's Beast. He's like a big gorilla. Nightcrawler is blue like Beast is and furry, but he's more like a demonic monkey." She told him cheerfully. "Thor is pretty cool too- His hammer is really strong! I wonder what it would take to lift it? Wasn't it made from a star or something?" She scooted her chair in closer to the table, really enjoying the conversation. "I haven't seen any of the cartoon movies, but I saw the new live-action ones. I really like Iron Man in those, he's so sassy," She laughed. Her blue eyes sparkled. "You still haven't told me your name, you know," She teased him. "How can we be friends if I don't know your name?"

Vader nodded as she explained what the two characters from the x-men comics, he didn’t know it well enough to have been able to tell the difference between the two. But he was eager to learn from her, ”Why do you like him then?” it wasn’t often that Vader got to talk about that kind of thing so of course he was pretty eager to talk about it. The Gryffindor, ”You have to be really good, like worthy of it,” the boy told her with a definite excited tone, ”So, maybe so long as you’re worthy it doesn’t matter what it weighs, maybe,” Vader liked to hold out some hope that he might be able to lift it if it were real. He hadn’t seen as many of the movies, ”I hadn’t watched a whole lot of those, I liked the cartoons of them a little better, or like the lego batman movie, that sort,” when she pushed for his name his smile faltered a little and he looked down at the comic in his hands. He didn’t want to tell her his name, she knew muggle things, she’d seen muggle movies, she was going to know what it was in reference to. But she was nice, and he wanted to be her friend, and if knowing his name was a prerequisite for being friends, maybe he should just tell her. ”Vader, my name’s Vader,” he kept his gaze on his comic, trying to sense her reaction without actually looking at her.

Ava swung her feet, enjoying the fact that she was still short enough to do so. He asked why she liked Nightcrawler and she grinned. "Oh, he's really sweet and sarcastic, he's loads of fun. He has a cool accent sometimes too, depending on what you watch." She chattered happily. "He can teleport and he's got such pretty dark blue fur." The conversation went back to Thor's hammer and she nodded. "In the movie Captain America made Thor's hammer move a little and Thor looked so betrayed, it was kinda funny." She giggled a bit.

"I haven't seen the Lego Batman movie, is it any good?" She asked, swinging her feet. It sounded interesting. Maybe she could bring some legos back and they could play with them here. She made a mental note to ask her papa to buy some for her and her friends.

He introduced himself then, and Ava blinked. Vader, his name was Vader? She leaned forward. "That... that is so cool!" She gushed. "Like Star Wars? Or, or like an invader? Ohhhh, that is just-" She giggled happily. "That is such a strong name! Like, you can do anything with a name like that! I- oh!" Ava gasped, her eyes going wide. She slapped a hand over her mouth. She looked at Vader. "I... I'm sorry, that was an overreaction, wasn't it?" She had been trying to settle down a bit, but she rarely caught herself until it was too late.

Vader nodded along as she described which character the nightcrawler was and what that meant. What kind of character it was, which was something that he found interesting, it was maybe a character that he could really learn to like. If he did take the time to read about it. Maybe he wouldn’t now get much of an opportunity to, since he wouldn’t be able to buy too many either. He had more different things that he needed to be doing. Vader smiled easily at her comment, he hadn’t seen any of those films, he could’ve if he’d wanted to, but he’d always preferred cartoons. He just nodded at her question, ”I really enjoyed it,” it was a good film to him, he liked what it could do. He had always enjoyed lego growing up and this was just an addition to it. A different sort of film to watch and it was oddly nice to see the lego in movie form.
His excitement at spending time with Ava diminished when she had pushed for his name, and he cringed at the reaction she had. Asking if it was like vader in star wars or a different kind. She seemed excited by it and wasn’t malicious, it was like she was excited by the idea. He shook his head at her, ”Like in Star Wars,” he admitted quiet, ”My sisters are Padme and Leia,” the boy shrugged a little, she didn’t seem to be laughing at him, it was excitement, ”I don’t like it my name, it’s awful,” he assured her, but he didn’t mind the excitement really it made a nice change, maybe if he was more assertive about his name and pretended to be stronger he’d have an easier time with it. ”It’s okay, most people don’t get excited, they just laugh,”

Ava shrugged happily. "Most people are stupid. Leaia and Padme are both strong women leaders. Vader took down the strongest organization in the universe and built a new one, which he then took down himself. No other jedi was able to do that. You and your sisters were all named after really strong people." She leaned forward, eyes sparkling, and smiled at her new friend. "I was named after my papa. He's Avarian. We're birds, Vader. I've had loads of people laugh at me, too. But you know what? Birds have wings, and we fly," She exclaimed dramatically, sitting back and throwing out her arms. "We fly over all the regular people and their normal names."

She laughed, clapping her hands together. "Vader! Where do you live? Maybe if we live close to each other we can hang out over the holidays?" She suggested brightly. "My papa works a lot so it would be nice to have someone else around."

Vader listened as she spoke and he laughed, ”Really?” he was surprised by her description of the characters that he and his siblings were named after, in all of the comments that Vader had grown up with, in a somewhat ironic twist Vader had never actually seen any of it, largely put off from it because of his name and how people tended to treat him because of it, ”I haven’t actually seen it, people tended to make fun of me because of the name which put me off the film and also my name,” Vader said with a sheepish expression. He wasn’t going to seek out the films or information about them, but he was happy that the character wasn’t so bad, ”Kids would mostly just sing his theme song as I walked through the school,” he brushed over the worst of it, but that had always been a constant.

As the girl went on to explain her family he nodded and smiled, it was nice to learn about what other people’s names meant. Especially because the fact that Ava and her dad had exceedingly similar names was funny to him. But her final statement made him laugh. Oh he liked Ava, ”I like your name, it’s a pretty name,” he assure her with a small smile. ”I live in New Zealand, in a suburb of Wellington, what about you?” he replied, but he was interested in spending time with her, ”I’d like that, my parents work a lot too, you might need to deal with my sisters being there too,” Vader would welcome the opportunity to spend more time Ava, she seemed like a fun person, ”We could go to the movies or something?” if she was willing he would welcome the opportunity to see a film, he did miss that aspect of muggle life.

Ava laughed. "Uh-huh. If you ever want to watch it I'll prove it to you. Everyone is afraid of him in the movies. Maybe if you know what you're named after you can be more confident in the name your parents gave you," she suggested brightly. She giggled at the theme song. "I wish I had a theme song. Then I could wear a cape and, and swoosh through the school dramatically." She tossed her arms out again.

She smiled brightly when he said he liked her name. "Thank you Vader!"

Ava clapped happily when Vader told her where he lived. "Really? Me too!" She pulled a piece of parchment from her pocket and a blue crayon, scribbling down her address. She handed it to him with a wide smile. "I don't know how far that is but I can go to your house and you can come to mine and I can make lunch and I'll buy the popcorn when we go to the movies and it'll be so much fun!" She squealed happily.
