Damien liked to get up with the sun. The crisp morning air was refreshing. He was in town to visit one of his many aunts, and he had a mind to head out and find a nice spot to watch the sunrise. Sure, his blog was about fashion and fashion was his main love, but he had a soft spot for nature and being outdoors. He was busy taking in the sights, wondering what day to day life must be like here when he accidentally bumped into a girl. Damien staggered back a bit, looking startled. "I'm sorry," He told her. "I was lost in thought. Are you alright?"

It was a refreshing morning run for Danielle as she went on her morning run. There was no scheduled match for the Harpies and the woman was taking advantage of the available time in her hands. She was supposed to go back to New Zealand yet she opted to stay this time. She had been running for nearly an hour when she decided to stop to take a breather. She was just standing there with her hands on her hips when she was suddenly bumped by another jogger. Thrown off balance, Danielle was quick to change her stance and landed on her bum and not on her face. Thank Merlin for her Keeper reflexes."Hey!", she blurted out. She soon heard a man apologizing which made her look up."Well, I am fine except that you made me sit on the grass.", she smiled at the man. Even for a morning run, he still looked fashionable, a trait that always caught Danielle's eye since her mom was in the industry as well.

Damien flashed an apologetic grin and offered his hand to the girl. "Sorry for that, darling," He told her with a grin. "I'm Damien Gates. Just visiting, sadly, so I got a bit caught up in humdrum fantasies. You live around here?" He asked conversationally. Maybe she could tell him what life was like in the town. He always liked to add some local flair to his blog. The people were as important to the fashion as the fashion was to the people.

His name rang a bell in the Harpies Keeper. Judging from the way he carried himself, she must say that she was from the industry that she grew up with as well. Taking his hand, Danielle pulled herself up, standing a bit too close to the man. Even with his smile, she could already find herself returning it easily. "That is fine. No harm done.", she replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. "I'm Danielle. Corelli. Nice meeting you, Damien.", she introduced herself, wondering if he could make any connection to her last name, be it Quidditch, the short stint she did for the Gladrags Fashion Show or her mother. Listening to him saying that he was just visiting almost dampen her mood. "I kept a place here as well as in New Zealand. I am mostly based here, though.", she answered. "So just visiting then? For how long?", she asked subtly. She was hoping she would get to see him again.

Damien grinned and took a subtle step back. She was a gorgeous woman, but he was still in a relationship with Teagan. He slid his leg behind him and crossed an arm across his belly, sliding into an elegant and subtly dramatic bow. He took her hand in his and placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. "A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Corelli." He straightened, releasing her hand. Taken or no, he could still be a gentleman. Her name did seem vaguely familiar, but if there was one thing he learned from dating a Maxwell it was the pleasure of privacy.

He motioned with his arm at the street behind him. "Oh, I'm planning on staying at least a week, maybe two, before returning to school. Then it's off to my sister-in-law's Inn in New Zealand for the summer." He offered his arm to Danielle. "Perhaps since I knocked you down I could escort you to wherever it is you meant to be?"

Danielle laughed softly at the gesture shown toward her by her new friend. The dramatic bow was reciprocated with a small curtsy of her own. She was a bit surprised but flattered when Damien kissed her hand in greeting. "Likewise, Mr. Gates.", she replied, deep inside the way her last name sounded on another person's lips was different yet made her remember a special friend. A certain Ravenclaw whom she fondly called by his last name.

Listening to Damien talk about his plan made her smile. At the mention of New Zealand, she perked up. "New Zealand?Which part?I own a cozy cottage in New Zealand whenever I fancy getting away from work here.", she offered the information. When offered his hand in a gentleman gesture, Danielle laughed before accepting the arm offered. Threading her arm through his before answering his question,"I'm just about to grab some light breakfast. You can join me if you want.", she invited the man.

Damien smiled broadly as his companion asked about the Inn. "Oh, it's about an hour from Arrowtown. Lovely place. My brother is a doctor put in town and his wife is a beautifully fashionable woman." He started leading her in the direction she'd been going before he knocked her over.

"Breakfast sounds fabulous, darling. I had been wondering about local cuisine before we bumped into each other." He grinned lightly at his joke. "Would you like to stop and change first?" He asked, unsure of if she would think it a necessity. Not that he minded the view, but not everyone liked to go to breakfast in running attire.

Danielle smiled as she listened to Damien talk about New Zealand. Her house was just about the same area that he mentioned. They were already walking down the path and was almost out of the park.

Her face brightened when Damien agreed to breakfast. "Fantastic! I know just the place where you can satisfy your curiosity for local cuisine.", she replied brightly, squeezing his arm as well. When he mentioned changing, she pondered the thought. She was fine with what she was wearing although looking at her companion in his outfit, it seemed impolite to somehow return the gesture."I am fine with what I wear but if you don't mind stopping by my pad, I'll have a quick shower and change.", she explained while noticing her surroundings that they were actually in front of her building.

She opened her door wider, letting her new friend into her cozy space. The place was not much, with family photos in small frames around the living room, she and her brothers and the only two photos of her Ravenclaw friend. "Well, this is me.Make yourself comfortable.", she called out, looking back with a smile. "I'll be very quick.", she promised, disappearing into her bedroom to shower and change. Ten minutes later, she emerged in her casual attire."Damien, you okay out there?", she called out to her guest, wondering what he was doing while she was gone.

Damien had accepted Danielle's offer quickly, eager to see how she would decorate. You could tell a lot about a person by their decor. She left him quickly to shower and he wandered around. It was small and modest. It seemed she had simple tastes, with a sense of familial attachment. He smiled at that.

There were the two photos that gave him pause, however, and he stopped to study them. That person... Could it be...? He picked up the photo, studying it closer. He heard his friend call something to him, and after a moment he managed a response. "Hmm? Oh... Yes, I'm fine darling." He turned towards the sound of her voice, still looking at the picture in his hands.

"Danielle... Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be... Ah, syrus, or Silas or something of the sort? Tattoos? A, ah, affinity with Ravens?" He asked lightly, unsure of what she would say.

Danielle smiled when she saw Damien contented himself into looking around her space. There was nothing much except for some photos she had scattered around. Just like her Hogwarts dormitory, she only had her family photos and Silus' in her living room. However, one of her friend's photo was now in her new friend's hand and this man in her home had a questioning look on his face. She approached him slowly, pausing to stand beside him, their shoulders slightly brushing each other. She looked down into Hollister's face, wondering how her feline lover friend had been faring. "Silus. Though I call him by his last name, Hollister.",she replied with a soft smile. Glancing at Damien, she gazed into his eyes. "You know him?", she asked, curiosity in her.

Damien started a little when Danielle brushed against him. He listened to her response and glanced down, his eyes meeting hers. "Well... No. Not personally." He told her honestly. "I go to school elsewhere. But my sister-in-law's little sister, she had a bit of a crush on him. I believe so, anyway. She writes often and she spoke of him a bit. She's quite a bit younger and she adored him a bit." He grinned playfully. His smile faded a bit and he looked into her eyes, his gaze questioning.

"Silus and I went to different chapters of the same school. How do you know him, Danielle?"

Danielle nodded as she listened to Damien explained how he knew of her Ravenclaw friend. Funny how the man she just met this morning was in some way acquainted with a friend she had in school. The thought stopped her when realization dawned on her. The Keeper built her friendship with the Ravenclaw in Hogwarts. The girl whom Damien mentioned was obviously a younger student in their school. A school which was quite concealed from the Muggle world.

Danielle's hunch was somehow proven right when the man turned to her with questioning eyes, asking her the same question that he answered a few moments ago. Green eyes gazed into the man before her mouth opened to reply. "Damien,well...", she sighed,"Silus and I, we were - we went to same the school. I'm just a year ahead of him, that's all.", she finished. Her heart was beating fast as the former Hufflepuff waited for his reaction.

Damien grinned widely at the girl in front of him. "Oh, is that so? Were you a badger, lion, raven, or snakety snake?" He questioned, giving her a wink. "I, for one, am a sssslippery little ssssoul." He told her, sticking his tongue out and hissing the S's playfully. He stepped back, bowing dramatically and holding out a hand. "Perhaps we could discuss our ssssimilar ssssschooling over sssssscones," He grinned, his eyes twinkling with mirth. He certainly hadn't expected to find he had so much in common with a girl he'd just met.

Danielle smiled brightly upon hearing the next words coming out of Damien's mouth. That meant that Damien was also aware of the world she was a part of. She was laughing as to his question of the houses. At his wink, she could not help a slight blush to grace her cheeks, admiring the handsome man in her house that moment. "I am a proud badger", she replied laughing once more when Damien told her that he was a snake, exaggerating his Ss. The Harpies keeper could feel that her laughter would be endless when she was with this man as he continued on with his slithering sounds when he held out his hand and invited her to some scones. Taking the offered hand, she smiled sweetly as she replied teasingly, "I would love to mister, so long as you won't eat me alive like a real snake does." She was quite amazed at how quickly she became comfortable with someone she had just met.

Damien smiled as Danielle accepted his invitation. He straightened, placing a hand dramatically over his heart. "Oh, but darling, how you wound me." He pouted slightly. "Why on Earth would I eat a beautiful woman like you? I'd have no room for scones!" He flashed her a playful smile, offering his arm. "Besides, Slytherpuff friendships are covered. Haven't you heard?" He laughed lightly.

Danielle laughed even more at Damien's antics. They had not gone out yet but she was already having fun with the man. As he offered his arm to her, Danielle happily threaded hers, taking comfort in the warmth the man's arm gave. Returning his playful smile with a playful wink, she replied, "I never knew about that until today. Is there such a thing like that?", she jokingly asked.

OOC: Stupid phone glitched. Ignore this.

Damien tsked at the woman's question, shaking his head. "Oh, dear. All that schooling was for naught. How many years did they teach you in vain?" He teased, eyes sparkling. It wasn't often he hit it off so well with someone. Especially someone this gorgeous. If not for Teagan- but no, he stopped that thought before it could fully form. He was loyal to his girl. Besides, he could use friends. And he thought Danielle could be a great friend.
