Professor Davershire grinned at the students when they entered the room. Once they were seated, she flicked her wand at the blackboard.
"I am sure you have realized Transfiguration is very complex and dangerous magic," she started. "Someone who chooses to walk closer to the dark side could use a Transfiguration spell to bring harm to many innocent people. The Ministry of Magic has made punishments for those that misuse the spells. For instance, the Ministry punishes anyone who uses Transfiguration on any human being for the purpose of hurting them or entertainment," She stopped for a moment to take a breath. "Not just on humans, but using Transfiguration on animals is also strictly forbidden unless if it's a life threatening situation," she continued. "In short, the Ministry of Magic has laws for usage of all types of Transfiguration. That is part of the reason that I mentioned I am a registered animagus. The Ministry has my transformed shape on file to know what I am up to in my transformed state." At this point, Ava noticed a hand raised. "Yes?" "Even for Inanimate to Inanimate Transfiguration?" a student asked. "Yup, of course," she replied. "But how could that be used wrongly, professor?" the same student asked, a bit surprised. "The Ministry of Magic has numerous laws on using Transfiguration, which we will cover more in-depth next lesson; though it won't be the complete list. But if you are interested, there are books of Transfiguration laws available in the Library. You can read them. Though the Ministry of Magic forbids doing experiments on animals as I said, Hogwarts is a school and it has the permission of the Ministry to use animals, so you as a student can practice Transfiguration." She looked to see a somewhat satisfied look on the students face. "Okay, now homework," Professor Davershire smiled as some of the students groaned, but she flicked her wand at the board nevertheless, making the homework appear. RP the lesson For extra credit: List for me 5 daily life Transfigurations. For example, changing your hair color for a party, etc. |

Paige and her friend Andrea were walking to the Transfiguration Classroom, Paige and Andrea were both seated somewhere in the second row. Paige had laid her materials all across the desk and listened to her Transfiguration Professor, when the Professor showed what lesson this was going to be a slight smile appeared on Paige her face. Paige already knew some of the Ministry rules about Transfiguration, the whole subject was one bunch of Ministry rules in her eyes. Paige would want to be an Animagus, but the fact that she had to register her Animagus form made the topic a lot less interesting. Paige was wondering something while the Professor spoke and decided to just ask her Professor about it, her hand went up in the air and Paige waited for the Professor to talk to her. "Even for Inanimate to Inanimate Transfiguration?" Paige asked her Professor, Paige wondered why on earth that could be used for the wrong reasons when the Professor said yes on her first question Paige could not help herself and ask something more. "But how could that be used wrongly, professor?" Paige was really wondering this, how on earth could you use this branch of magic wrong. Paige was satisfied with the answered she had gotten from her Question. Paige stuffed her notes in her bag and began to make the homework.

Marlo sat in the Transfiguration classroom tapping her foot under the desk, doodling with what little ink she had left as she waited for the class to start. For the first time, ever, the young Gryffindor was early for a lesson and not rushing in last minute out of breath. It was an odd feeling actually being there watching all the students pile in. She wasn't the first to arrive, but she certainly wasn't the last which was definitely a step up in her book. However, Marlo was not sure she cared too much for being early. The class hadn't even started and she was ready for it to be over. Luckily the wait was not a long one before all the other students arrived and the professor started the lesson. A lesson that Marlo soon found herself intrigued with. The Ministry of Magic She thought wondering what exactly the rules and regulations were. Always loopholes She thought with a smirk as she realize that Hogwarts basically had the biggest loophole ever, they could use transfiguration in classes. What an awesome concept for the young Gryffindor girl. Quickly the lesson came to an end, Marlo quickly jotting down the homework and the book that the professor suggested. She would surely have time to stop in the library (for the third time today) and pick up a book on transfiguration. At least this book would help her with classes, unlike the many others she had piled in her room that she normally had her nose buried in. Packing up all her items, Marlo left the classroom only to head to the library to work on her homework before she began looking into some interesting reads.

Humming to herself, Andrea headed into the common room where she knew her friend Paige was waiting for her to head to their second Transfiguration lesson of the year. They chattered about nearly everything as they headed to the classroom, taking the stairs up out of the dungeons where their common room was located. She was in a good mood; why wouldn't she be while on the way to her favorite class she was taking this year; well that and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class she'd taken last semester. They made it to the room on time and sat in the second row, talking until the last second as usual. When the professor began to speak, Andrea realized it was the class that Paige had indirectly warned her about...rules for this branch of magic. She didn't mind overly though, she still loved the concept of being able to change one thing into another; that was one of the more popular points of magic, was it not? She supposed learning the rules and regulations of such a branch was crucial to becoming a practioner of Transfiguration. The class was over rather quickly and Andrea sighed, finishing up her notes and tucking her things back into her bag. She was pretty sure she'd read all the books on all her classes she could in the Library but it was always worth another look. She knew she wouldn't be able to convince Paige to go; her friend didn't like the library, but she'd go down and check it out another time. She had work to do:

As Perseas was entering Transfiguration classroom, he saw forming on the blackboard the phrase: Transfiguration and the Ministry of Magic. He realized that they weren't going to use their wands during this lesson either and disappointment was evident on his face. He found a seat at the back of the room as he liked having the whole class in his field of vision. Professor Davershire started talking and Perseas was prepared from what he had seen on the board to hear her saying how dangerous transfiguration could from wrong wands. The Ministry for him was a serious buzz killer while it had to regulate everything that was fun. He had recently found out that invisibility was largely regulated by the Ministry and it was somewhat like clipping his wings. Of course there were people that would use any means of magic to harm others but what about those that just loved research and practising. Minoas was feeling sometimes that everything he was learning in this castle was somewhat stricted in the real world. Slightly disappointed but not losing his interest he stayed silent and surprisingly focused on the class while he was failing to do so during other classes. The homework was easy one. If the professor was going to give them five extra minutes he would have completed it at class. Instead he gathered his stuff and went to the library to deal with it.
