Professor Black walked into the classroom, knowing that she would not have as many students this year as before with those who did not pass the OWL exam and those not continuing on in Transfiguration. She was excited to see those who were going to be moving forward in the subject -- the ones with the most skill and willingness to work.

Greeting her students as they entered with a nod, she allowed them a chance to get to their seats, then rose to begin class. "Welcome back! Congratulations on your OWLs being sufficient to continue in our line of study. We will start off the year with a bit of review, then move on to more complicated topics." Walking to the blackboard in the room, she tapped it with her wand. Words quickly appeared on the board.

Conjuring Spells

"This year we will be covering how to conjure items. These could be items that you have vanished, or items that you simply want to have at the moment. For example, I wish to have a desk for each of you to practice vanishing with, so...." With a flick of her wand, she moved the empty desks to the center of the room and with three taps in the air, she conjured up a few more to make the right amount. "For a bit of practice, please choose a desk and make it vanish. We will cover the first conjuring spells next time." Waving her wand at the desks, she spoke again, "Go to work. Any questions, feel free to come on up and ask."

Giving one last smile to her students, she allowed them to go to work and returned to her desk and conjured a steaming mug of tea. She kicked back in her chair, cradling the mug in her hands and watched the progress of her students and available for anyone who needed help.

Homework: Simply RP the lesson. Just as a heads up, all lessons from this point on will be RP based. We are learning only spells now and it only makes sense to have all hands on lessons. Feel free to ask any questions you may have at any time - either in a lesson or via PM.

[justify]It was the most exciting year of all time for Proserpina Laurent. She was a sixth year, and she was ready to become the next graduating group of Hogwarts New Zealand. It was something she looked forward to for a while, and she wanted to see how her sister was doing, and perhaps even meet up with her crush a few times. They were sending each other letters over the year, and she hoped that it would continue even to the next year. She was a little unsure about his family though, since she had heard some tales about the Snow family since she had been here. But Romaine seemed sweet. Sighing as she thought about him, Proserpina found her seat in the Transfiguration classroom. She was eager to get started on whatever they were going to do this year. She knew it would be something exciting either way! This was Transfiguration after all.

The professor greeted them with a nod, and welcomed them into the next level of Transfiguration. Proserpina had passed somehow and she was not hating it. She could not wait until they could really get started in the subject! They were starting off with some review before they were going into the more complicated topics, which she did not mind at all. This year they were going to be working on conjuring, and that alone sounded amazing! However they were not talk about it much since they were going to be vanishing desks today. The professor conjured up some desks before telling them to go vanish them. Proserpina made her way to a desk before she got out her wand. She cleared her throat and then spoke the spell clearly, and making the desk vanish. But it left behind a leg. She rectified that and then practiced some more. Then they were dismissed. She smiled and she left, proud of the review.

Excitement was flashing on Minoas' eyes as he appeared at the familiar transfiguration classroom. He was aware that this year they were going to study the complex art of conjuring, something he was patiently waiting since he was a first year. He was glad for being back in this room after such a long time and eagerly walked over to his usual seat. There were less people this year, which was to be expected. Minoas doubted everyone would have passed their OWLs. Not many students understood the beauty of the particular subject but he couldn't blame them when it was the most challenging at the same time. At least the hufflepuff girl had made it as well. It was nice to see someone from previous years joining for the rest classes until their graduation. The professor walked in and greeted them with congratulations on them passing their OWLs. Now the new objective for the ambitious sixth years was NEWTs.

Minoas' lips arced when on the blackboard revealed the words: Conjuring Spells. With his wand in hand he was looking forward to attempt conjuring but they were going to be vanishing things today. Just like last year. It was next lesson when they'd actually start conjuring. Really confident with his vanishing charm he looked over at a desk and walked over to it. He had been casting it pretty often to get rid of parchments with old notes or when he was cleaning his room sometimes. He looked at the desk and shrugged, tapping the air three times. "Evanesco!" the desk vanished as if a drop of invisible paint fell on it and spread all across its surface and down to its legs. Done with this task, Minoas was dismissed along with the rest of the class and left the room looking forward to the next lesson.
