Today was the second lesson of the semester, and for the second years. It was just a simple introduction class were she would assign the first homework and introduce her students to new charms. Walking into the classroom Connor smiled at the looks of it, bright and friendly, but a frown came on her face when she saw the time. Waving her wand the door opened to allow the students to enter the class. This was going to be a tricky day, she had to impress the second years, they've had quite a few other Professors in the past year and a half she heard, Connor had to let them know she was there to stay. "Good Day Second Years. I'm Professor Connor Barnard, as such you should address me as Professor Barnard. I am the Charms Professor for years one through four. I studied at Durmstrang Academy and excelled in not just charms but my other NEWT levels as well. Since graduating I competed in many dueling competitions and championships where I took home many top prizes beating my competitors with my strong use of charms," Connor said her dark cloak floating around her as she walked to the front of her desk. Her face was hard and she was not there to gloat about how brilliant she was, she wasn't her sister after all. But she was there to make sure the students would do their job and learn. This year they would be learning harder spells and more dangerous ones. Connor did not want to have to use the levitation charm to bring any of the students to the Hospital Wing.

She took a roll call from her list to see who was in attendance for the first class afterwards she waved her wand at the board and a list appeared.

Spells

Scourgify
Alohomora Charm
Repairing Charm
Repelling Charm
Homenum Revelio

Looking over the list of the spells for a second, Connor smiled briefly glad she had managed to spell everything correctly. "These are the spells which you are to learn. Some can be quite dangerous and as such I will review my Rules for the Classroom now." Connor turned towards a new section on the board and another list appeared. She didn't feel the need to explain each Rule word for word, they were all self explanatory.
Rules

Rule One: Listen to the Professor at all times and follow instruction.
Rule Two: Respect those who are talking. Including the Professor, at all times.
Rule Three: Ask Questions when necessary.
Rule Four: Bring Wand every class, only have it out when the Professor says.
Rule Five: Have textbook, ink, quill, parchment at every class.
Rule Six: Complete any and all assigned Homework.

"Please take note that anything which goes on the board should also be in your notes. Also when I explain a charm I will not write that on the board, but it'll do you well to have what each charm does in your notes as well," Connor said to her class. They were older than the students she had yesterday, therefore she expected more from them. She wasn't there to be their mother or to hold their hands. If they wanted someone to do that, then they'd better go to their Head of House. Connor never once needed a Professor to always be there for her, she didn't think those she was teaching would either. But she did have office hours for those who struggled. Looking at the clock she sighed knowing she was going to let them go early. "Alright then, once you've made note of the things on the board you are dismissed. But! But, take note of the homework which has been posted on the board closest to the door," Connor said before turning and walking back to the chair behind the desk.
Homework

One Essay with the proper student heading and a title. Pick one of the charms we are to study this year and write down three useful times the spell will come in handy in your future adult life.

Role Play the Lesson and attach the assigned homework. Grades are determined based on thoughtfulness and completeness!
