Professor Black was seated on top of her desk again. She had years ago chalked up her preference to sit on her desk to her inner animagus form of a cat. Anyone who would observe her over a period time would easily notice her feline tendencies. A new stack of papers rested on the desk next to her, ready for the class to work on in review. She also held another stack with their reviews from the week before. The class as a whole had done well and she was pleased.

As the class came in, she jumped down and started to hand out the previous week's reviews. "Great job on your reviews. I have another sheet for you. I hope that you are able to complete this as easily as you did the last one. Next time there will be one last sheet. If you wish to practice any of the practical spells, just let me know what you need and I will get it for you. The table area is yours to work with." She moved to her desk and picked up the new review. "Good luck!" she said, starting to pass the new sheet out.

With a smile, Professor Black resumed her spot on top of her desk, grabbing her copy of Transfiguration Today to read while she waited.

Animagus - Obliviator - Sinister

It was the fifth week of lessons. Hades Styx the Second had a lot to do and it was just about the end of the semester, when he would have to face his girlfriend after the scare that they had recently had. Hades sighed as he recalled it, and hoped that it would never happen again. Hades sighed as he walked into the Transfiguration classroom still doubting why he had bothered to come at all. Then he remembered that they were reviewing, and he would have to get used to it. He found his seat in the back still, away from the other seventh years. Once he was settled in, and the others arrived, they were informed that they had done well on the previous review week. They were going to be sitting in, and doing a review once more, which seemed easy since Transfiguration may be his best subject. He received a sheet, and he got started on the sheet. By the time he finished, it was time to leave. This was becoming a routine thing for him.

Review Questions:
1. Explain the limits of Transfiguration. Include at least two examples. There are no shortcuts, and no skill or knowledge can be magically formed into the mind. One example is being an animagus, and another is conjuring money.
2. What spell turns a frog into a grasshopper (and back again)? Locusta
3. How would you turn a rat into a rabbit (and back again)? Cuniculus
4. Explain 'Clashing Magic'. Attempt of using magic on a magical creature or an item.
5. What is an animagus? What is required to register with the Ministry? What punishments are there if you do not register? A person who can change into an animal at will depending on their personality. Proof of form and any special markings the form may have, such as darker hair around the head. Azkaban is the punishment for not registering.
6. What is the incantation for switching spells? There is not one.
7. What does a switching spell do? Exchanges one item or animal for another.

David Pike walked into his Transfiguration Class with a smile on his face. He enjoyed Transfiguration, but wasn't necessarily the best at it. He did find it quite fun though. It was nearing the end of the semester, but he was trying hard not to be stressed out by the up-and-coming N.E.W.Ts. He had heard that they would be abysmally hard, but he was hoping for the best. He sat down, and picked up the worksheet that Professor Black had asked them to do.

Samual entered the Transfiguration classroom happily and took a seat. It was near the end of the semester and he was feeling a little anxious. They were focusing on being ready for the exam now, which was a relief. If more classes did this sort of thing, it would probably be less stressful for students. Sammy knew he was grateful. He listened to the professor as she began the lesson and nodded. He looked down at the sheet. It didn't appear to be too difficult, and last week's was apparently good. If the exams were like this, maybe he didn't have much to worry about at all. Samual filled the sheet in carefully, taking his time. Because of this, he finished just as time was about to run up. Upon dismissal, he left the classroom, feeling pretty good.
