CoMC Years 3&4 Well Now, What Should We Do Dorm Mouse
[ * ]
Time was ticking rapidly away, which soon enough her young third years will be arriving soon. It was a whole new experiment for the young professor, adjusting to the new changes came quickly as the spring days came in. She spent half the morning going through her overall assignments and the creatures she would be presenting today. Everything was laid out perfectly, still a fraction of Vesma felt like somehow she would screw up everything she had plan today. It was pre jitters of a new professor; let’s hope for Merlin sakes she could make it through the lesson without fainting. The thought tickle her nerves a little, she felt a slight flinch in her left eyes, please let this day go right!

Approaching the edge of the ground, she saw younger faces of her students arriving just on times. She stood there playing with her wand in hand. She knew some would react strange to her young appearance, looking like a seventh year herself, she could understand why they question with such looks. Still she remain solid on the ground, haven’t faint from the sight of them indicating she was off to a good start. “Morning class, it’s nice to see you all make it on time” she stops when a few more delayed steps join the group of her early arrival. No matter, she persists to go on a happy note with them.

“I am Professor Cresswell, I will be your Care of Magical Creature for years 3rd and 4th. If you aren’t aware of my accent I am from Britain” she gave a small smile to everyone. It was getting easier to speak knowing that you were much older than all of them. They hung to her every word for the most part and she gave them respect in return. “I hope that I won’t have to bore you with the rules of the classroom, just like any other class you have the rules are pretty much the same. To be clear though no student are allowed in the forest without my supervision, if you are caught I’m afraid I will have to deduct points and give you detention. Tried to avoid it, I hate to give anyone detention” she said slowly for them to comprehend.

Once that was out of the way she began her lesson, leading them a little bit closer into the forest. She stops when she reached their destination. Taking out a roll of parchment she used her wand to levitate for them all to see. Hitting the parchment with her wand a small figured appeared right in the middle of the parchment. This creature was small, very ugly looking, had pointy ears and a crooked nose. It was no more than three feet tall in height and weighted less than 30 pounds. “Can anyone tell me what creature this is?” she asked her student.

“A goblin” someone answered.

Vesma smiled, she motions her head to show they were correct. “Yes this is a goblin, as you aware goblins run Gringotts. I could tell you more about Goblins but you will learn that all in History Class when they had a rebellion era” the next photograph was of a giant. “This right here is a giant; giants are capable of speech but are very low intelligence compare to wizarding kind. Giants can grow up to 20 feet tall and live out in the mountains. However there are very less of them as decades go by” the picture vanish another appeared. This one was a veela, very charming woman like creature dance animated on the flat surface of the parchment. “Last but not least a veela, a veela dance can manipulate any man to speak of personal information like family values of blood status. An angry female veela can turn into a bird and sprout wings, they can go as further throwing fireball flames at their victim” she didn’t much like veelas, they were just a potential threats to anyone normal and weak like herself. She has yet to meet a veela and hopes she would never meet one at all. “Some magic folks mate with these creatures, but part veela are more likely to exist in vast number besides the two. However I do like to warn anyone if you ever cross a part goblin watch what you say to them, for example do not mention blood status. They take offense to it right away” that was the end of three most important one.

She took out a batch of cards and gave out for everyone to pass around one by one. “Ummm, were in a little hurry now so I’ll go through these the best that I could” she started with the vampire,
"The first picture are vampires, vampire are also familiar in the muggel world. They are non wizard but part human, they are very much like human except the whole blood drinking part. They have blood lollipop in the wizarding world just for them, not many wizards like them, much like the Centaurs" she continued on. "Centaurs are half horse and half human, yet if you tell them that, they disagree. Centaurs spent their time star gazing and they live in the forbidden forest as a herb. Next we have is Hags, ugly totally opposite from a veela in appearance completely, their favor dish, small children" she saw a few reaction to that she felt the same way when she first heard about hags. Icky.

"Banshees have the appearance of a woman with long black hair and a very gaunt, green-tinged and skeletal face. The banshee's scream will kill. Wonderful. Perhaps one or two of you are 'privileged' enough to have a family house-elf. House-elves are passed down in a family as slaves of sorts, living only to serve their masters. More and more of them are gradually ending up at Hogwarts or as free house-elves- which they do not like. House-elves enjoy serving (except for the rare few) and will end up at Hogwarts due to either the extinction of a family line, or from being dismissed. Finally we move to creatures such as trolls -which there are three types of: Mountain, river and forest. They are lacking in intelligence- hence the lowest mark in the grading system is Troll- and are difficult for even a fully trained witch or wizard to tackle. Finally, we have werewolves: Werewolves are people who have been unfortunate enough to get attacked by a werewolf and survive, resulting in their becoming a werewolf themselves. Werewolves only transform at the full moon, though may require a heavy diet of meat in the days leading up to the full moon. There is a potion called wolfsbane which can be purchased or made. You'll learn all about that in Potions class. There is currently no known cure for this condition, so you should be polite towards these people who only become creatures during the full moon." she was getting tired already of talking, but she tough it up and finished what she already started.

"The Ministry has a rating system of their own for all creatures. Rating these creatures with stars by the creatures behavior. Lower rating you would not have much to worry about but the higher it gets, the higher the creature is dangerous to the point some can kill you. It's really important you learn this, I can't stress it enough how important this bit of information this could be" she was done finally, all slides were passed out and they were coming back to her. She felt extremely happy her first lesson went well, and to think she was nervous for nothing. "I apologize of the length, but I promise next lesson will be better" she cross her fingers hoping. "Have a great afternoon, class dismissed!" she announced.

The Ravenclaw could feel his body tingle with excitement, he was ready and prepared to attend his classes this year. He was really sure that this year would be different and interesting. Yerik Rhys then took a bath after fixing his sheets and fixed his robes as well as his hair. It was obvious he needed a new hair cut. Still he liked the way it covered his hair, so he decided to keep it for the some time. Leaving the dorm along with his needed things with him, he closed the door and went straight to class. It was quite some time until the pure-blood arrived the said class, and again he was the first one to arrive the class. He was quite pleased to know that he was the first one to arrive, a smile painted on his face. Yerik Rhys stood there still waiting for the other students to arrive, as the different students arrived the lesson begun. Just like his other classes, the boy already had prepared for his lessons. He read his book last night before entering the class.

"Recitations.. he mumbled in a low voice. Yerik Rhys adored recitation as he knew it comes with an extra points for them. He wasn't bothered by the Professor's accent, as he also had one, though it was rather quite odd as he was after all Scottish but then he grew up mostly in different countries which made his tone different from the other people. He waiting to be called by Professor Cresswell but he guessed that wasn't the system here. "A goblin." he answered straight and forward. Even though he grew up between both wizard and muggle world, he was aware of the different creatures in stored here in the wizardry world. As the lesson continued, he brought out his parchment and quill and decided to write down some notes for him to used for the the future exams and quizzes.

James prepared for his Care Of Magical Creatures class. It was a warm September day outside, so he wore a t-shirt and pants. He had brought a bit of parchment and a quill, just in case he had to take down notes. When he got there, he saw that it was packed with third year students. The class was for every third year house, James remembered.
When all of the students had arrived, Professor Cresswell, as she introduced herself, began to talk. She explained goblins, giants, veela, vampires, centaurs, hags, banshees, house-elves, trolls, and werewolves. James was honestly scared of werewolves, since he knew that he could turn into one if he happened to be bitten. James carefully took notes of everything the professor mentioned, flinching a bit when he wrote about werewolves. Soon, class was dismissed. The professor had talked a very long time. James rushed to his next class, because he was most likely late.
