Stefan just nodded. Tara seemed more moved about the colourblindness than most were. He could understand it, and it was somewhat satisfying to have finally told someone who was genuinely upset about him not being able to see colour. He liked that some people just looked past it, mulling it over inside them. Or ignoring it. But to see someone actually be upset actually made Stefan want to smile. Maybe even place a hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner, like he'd seen other people do. But, Stefan just watched her. He did however watch her draw. He liked the picture she was drawing. He knew he was only seeing what she was seeing. It was why he enjoyed the black and white feature on a camera, and why he liked pencils. But, it was clear that Tara was very much a fan of colour. It was odd for him since he really couldn't fully understand why she would feel that way. Stefan then couldn't help but smile at her question. He didn't know why it made him smile, but it did. "It's not like I have a choice. I've been colourblind since birth, it's all you know, and in the same way all you know is colour, you grow used to it being there, and in my case, it not being there." Stefan tried to explain. It was hard though. "Don't get me wrong, I would do anything to be able to see colour even just for an hour, but that's unlikely to happen." Stefan continued "Plus, It's not like I don't know what everything is. I know the sky is blue, the grass is green, blood is red, mud is brown, banana's are yellow and oranges are orange and so on. I just have no idea what blue, or green actually are. If that makes sense." Stefan stopped, he was rambling something he didn't do often at all.

Tara continued sketching once again removing the bruises and adding a smile. she listened to him explain his situation. his justification made sense, but she still didn't think she could live with it, if she never saw color she would always be wondering what colour was like and if she saw t then she would surly miss it. she looked back at Stefan and saw he was smiling, and she smiled too, his whole face seemed to light up. and the pain there earlier had vanished. she tried to add the spark in his eyes into the picture.
"I know what you mean, but Im not sure i would like it. she put the last touches to the picture and gave it to him. "there you go. she said giving it to him, she had tried her best but it wasn't one of her better ones. "how is your wrist, is it feeling any less painful? she asked, hopping it had gone down a little.

If anything, Stefan was perfectly okay, with knowing someone, who actually did not want to even taste his condition. It was something that he did not wish upon anyone. Not even his own father. Whom Stefan knew to be partially colour blind. It was one of the main reasons as to why Stefan hated his father so much. He knew that his father had the same condition, less severvely but they shared a birth defect. Something, that most fathers would help there sons through. But Stefan knew his father was different, he knew his father cared little for his well being. It was pretty clear. Stefan looked to Tara. He knew that she wouldn't be the type to like it. No one would. "I'm sure no one would like it." Stefan said quietly. "I don't like it, but I'm used to it. It's like anything. Over time, you grow used to it." Stefan shrugged. He was always more telling himself that he was used to it, rather than telling it to others. Stefan looked down at the the picture and took it with his good hand. He did not see much difference between the pictures. It was pretty much the same. But Stefan couldn't help but feel ever so slightly happy. He looked happy in the pictures. He liked that. "My wrist, will take time, but it doesn't hurt much unless I put pressure on it." Stefan answered, his eyes still fixed on the picture. He wasn't sure why the girl had asked about his wrist, he had not hurt it in falling, well it had hurt, but how he had actually gotten was what hurt. "I wish I could give something to you in exchange for these drawings." Stefan looked up at Tara. "I feel bad just taking them and not giving you something, other than thanks."

Elvera was glad to see Stefan smiling, he seemedl ike the person who needed opportunity to smile more. he seemed a little shocked by the sudden question about his wrist but she needed a change in the topic, the other one was bringing her down. "I hope it is getting better quickly. she said smiling. the sun just slipped behind a cloud. casting a shadow across the grounds, she shivered slightly but the air was still warm. the lake rippled as the slight breeze blew over it. she heard Stefan say he didn't feel right taking the pictures and not giving anything back. "I dont want anything in exchange, I am just happy you like them." she said, happy that he liked them, sure she came from a place where bartering was normal, but over here she didn't need to barter, everything was already supplied.

((another bad post sorry))

Stefan still felt bad. He had never really been given much. And this was something that someone else had made. Stefan didn't get much at all. He was unsure as how to act about it, without making it clear that he wanted to give her something in return. The only thing that Stefan could give were the drawings, and Stefan knew that would look pretty weird and even ungrateful. So instead, Stefan nodded in thanks once more, and put down the drawings beside him. Not wanting to have to hold onto the physical, while he was still talking to Tara. But then, he had no idea what to say. Or how to really act. The only thing that Stefan could think of doing was leaving. Picking up the stuff up going back inside. It was cloudy, so he wouldn't have any problems seeing where he was going. Stefan stood up. And looked to Tara. He knew he would seem pretty weird to her. Stefan knew he would give off such an impression. He smiled too little. He was quiet. And he had more scars than people three times his age. "I should go. It was nice to meet you Tara. Hopefully, we'll meet again." Stefan said quietly looking down to the ground. "Thanks again." Stefan took the pictures and walked away, back to the castle, without once looking
back.

Tara turned the page of her pad and picked up some pastels and treed and add some more bits to her sketch hoever she couldn't concentrate. she looked back at Stefan and he seemed to be a little uncomfortable. "are you okay" she said as he got up. however he said that he had to go at the same time. "Okay See you sometime" she said as he started moving away. she flipped back to the clean page and held a pencil above the page and eld it above the page foe a while after a few minutes where no inspiration came she packed up and headed back to the castle to grab some lunch.
