Raisa stared into the darkness, the same that had colored her eyes. The light from the wand made her blink made times, before she reached up into her thigh, and retrieved her wand from the strap on her upper thigh. With a swish and flick, a bright light that mirrored Vaughn’s lit the room up even more. She released his hand and went over to the wall with a few drawings upon them. Raisa murmured, “How interesting, how these people can show stories and lives by simply drawing.” Raisa was utterly fascinating with this place. It was just intriguing. Raisa turned when he chuckled, and her eyes focused on what looked to be a tomb. A smirk played on Raisa’s lips. With a wave of her wand, the lid of the tomb fell off with a loud thud. Raisa’s eyes glowed majestically. She bit her lip in anticipation as she glided over to the tomb’s edge and she uttered, “We most certainly aren’t alone, Vaughn.” |

Nearly three weeks late, sowwie. ![]() Seeing the light filling the room increase greatly, the professor turned his head back towards Raisa; as she too had her wand lit. There seemed to be very little relating to traps in-side the small room, which gave relief; and he had allowed his friend's hand to slip from his. It was certainly beautiful, how such an old culture still had the power to affect the modern world; their very drawings meaning something to everyone. Attempting to make sense of one of the drawings, Vaughn spun back towards the tomb as he heard a loud crashing thud. With his mouth hanging open, the middle-aged wizard stared towards the now lidless structure. In-side it, lay the remains of a wrapped figure. Taking a second to compose himself, still surprised at Raisa for disturbing the deceased, Vaughn stepped closer; and peered in-side. He knew of a few colleagues who would have loved to be here with them. "How about that hung above your fire-place?". he asked, cheerfully. |

Aww, tis okay. (: We are taking this one slowly because...a lot of things happen, right? Raisa put her slender fingers on the edges of the tomb. The wrapped figure was nicely preserved, and a smirk came across her lips. Despite her feminine appearance of a Goddess, Raisa had no regards for those who were resting in the deceased. Raisa's finger traced the body's jawline, feeling the dust upon the wrapping. "Oh, how I really wish I had one of these in my home. Imagine the jealousy my sister would have if I were to bring in someone of royal blood still nicely...preserved. Well, as nice as you can get... At least this man isn't a skeleton, yet." Her fingers traced the wrapping, feeling the face completely. Raisa had this cold, almost hungry appearance in her onyx eyes. Something like this was so exciting, so scrumptious. It was not every day Raisa could see someone of the dead; at least, one that she herself had not disposed of. Standing up completely, she smirked over at Vaughn. With a tap, her wand went dark as her eyes and she murmured, "Vaughn, how about we explore even deeper? I can only hope my excitement can hold strong for now." Raisa swept by him, as she dared to cross into another room. Her eyes adjusted to the room, more drawings could be seen, and possessions that more than likely belonged to the dead body in the previous room. Raisa enjoyed the dark, as it gave more of a mysterious scene to it. The room was rather stale, and she wondered if anyone had ventured into rooms like these. Raisa glanced back toward the doorway where Vaughn should be coming through. Raisa wondered in her mind, I wonder if anyone would notice if I were to take one of those dead bodies... |

It was certainly a wonder as to why no muggle had ever managed to explore any of the secret rooms within each of the Pyramids. They certainly had the technology to do so; but maybe they where just afraid of any consequences. Although, nothing bad had happened so far. Admiring the long-since-dead mummified contents of the tomb, Vaughn also watched Raisa with interest. Anyone else would have run screaming, but this woman was almost ready to climb into the resting place of the deceased. Whilst watching her practically stroke the mummy, the professor again looked rather shocked as she spoke. He had only meant his question as a joke. She couldn't be serious; could she. The words he was hearing, and the actions he was seeing, surprised him; and confused him. The woman's tone indicated she would quite easily pick up the body, and literally parade it around her twin. Vaughn could only shake his head. Maybe he would buy her a mummy key-ring from the muggle gift-shop out-side. Watching the woman extinguish her wand, the professor listened to her speak. Further exploration seemed a decent idea. However, part of what Raisa had said confused the man once again. Was the sight of a never-before-seen tomb not exciting. Was she not enjoying herself. Had he done something wrong. As the thoughts ran through his mind, the woman moved into another room. Turning to follow the woman, Vaughn thought it best to see how the rest of the afternoon played out. The newest room was much similar to the first, with drawings carved into the walls; and items aligned perfectly at certain sides. It would be rather easy for the two to essentially rob the tomb of its contents, as it was likely they had been the only visitors since the Pyramid was built. Casting his eyes towards Raisa, Vaughn smiled softly when she looked back towards him. "Everything okay?". It seemed a simple enough question, and would settle his worries that she was bored. |

Raisa's fingers traced across the walls as she slowly and gracefully walked around the room. Her onyx eyes fell on Vaughn as she heard his words. Was he...worried that she was not enjoying herself? He must not be able to tell that she was having a blast. It was hard for this Death Eater to show such emotions like others do. Raised as a Guardian of the family, she was trained to be basically emotionless, and to take someone out without a single thought in mind. Slowly approaching Vaughn, she smiled. It was the only emotion she could physically show him as of the moment. "Everything is perfect," sincerity laced her words. How could she show this man the gratitude of how she was feeling? Raisa gently kissed his cheek and she smiled once more. With pressed both lips together, as she thought. Slowly turning, she murmured, "I rather want to do this the old fashion manner. I wonder if there are any torches around here..." Something about fire and darkness and dead corpses really brought out the beast within. She was just unable to express her feelings through means of a normal fashion. |

Watching his companion move closer to him, Vaughn listened to the words which left her smiling lips. Lips which felt soft as they brushed gently against his cheek. With a smile of his own, the professor felt more at ease. She wasn't all that bad. Taking in the sight of the room once again, now through the light from only his wand, Vaughn listened to Raisa as she turned slowly away. A torch would give off an eerie glow. Perfect. Performing something that he was best at, the professor summoned an old torch; before lighting it with a small; controllable fire. Extinguishing, and pocketing, his wand, Vaughn smiled a second time as the light of the flames danced across the woman before him. - - - After much time exploring other areas of the Pyramid, which had been closed to the public several hours before, it had been decided that the two would head out into the night air. It may have cooled out-side, but it was still overly warm within the stone walls. After a final look around, Vaughn extinguished the dancing flame; before banishing the torch. "Ready to go?", he asked; taking a-hold of Raisa's hand. Pausing momentarily, the professor felt strangely relaxed in the darkness. Not worrying whether or not the woman beside him had managed to slip something out of the tombs or chambers, Vaughn apparated swiftly out to the sands on the opposite side. The night air washed over him as he touched the ground below. |

The torch allowed the darkness of the pyramid surround their bodies like a night blanket. It comforted Raisa as much as the next morning’s kill. Her hand wrapped around Vaughn’s as they apparated from the chambers of the pyramid. Raisa had half a mind to just let go and take that dead body with her, but out of better judgment, she chose to remain with Vaughn. Though in her dress in a confined area was a single golden coin that the Egyptians had so foolishly dropped. It was no dead carcass but it would do the woman just fine. Her heels touched the ground, and she released Vaughn of her hold. She knelt down and she removed her heels. Flourishing her wand from the strap on her thigh beneath the dress, she tapped them and they transfigured into a sash. She stood back up, now barefoot and the sand was notably warm against her toes. Raisa spoke, her voice soft and smooth like glacier, “Heels, they are cursed. Shall we continue? Have you learned the secrets of the Egyptians told in the pyramids?” Oh how secrets were utmost important. She too held a deadly secret. Raisa was lucky, perhaps, that she reiterated her charm to cover the Dark Mark upon her fair skin while exploring the pyramids. |

The feeling of the breeze against the man's face was a welcome one. Placing his arms loosely at his side, the professor watched Raisa as she removed her foot-wear. Walking about on stone floors must have had an affect on her feet, so perhaps the softness of the sand would sooth them. After a moment, Raisa transfigured her shoes into what appeared to be a sash; to which Vaughn smiled. Part of the male dress uniform was a branded sash. Not many students enjoyed them, but the uniforms where only worn for special events; such as a ball or Graduation. Slipping off his jacket, Vaughn felt comfortable enough with the night air to allow his bare arms some breathing time. When he thought about it, there wasn't really a reason for him to have brought a jacket in the first place. It wasn't like he had to hide a Dark Mark or anything. Catching his companion's soft words, Vaughn responded swiftly. "If you don't mind foot massages, maybe you could be my first test dummy?". The middle-aged man grinned playfully. "We can certainly continue. Do you have an idea in mind?". It was possible a few restaurants where still open, mostly for the tourist trade; so the two could always have something light to eat. The woman's final question intrigued Vaughn. It was true the Pyramids held secrets of the Egyptians, but not everything was discoverable through them alone. But not only where they burial chambers built over many years for the countries leaders at the time, they where also used in conjunction with the stars. Many say they where aligned almost perfectly in precise areas, but as to why; only speculation could tell. There was most certainly more mystery to the Egyptians than Vaughn would ever find out. "Secrets are sometimes better left un-told. They do have a nasty habit of hurting people.". Vaughn smiled towards Raisa. He hoped he hadn't un-intentionally frightened her. |

Raisa reached up behind her head, unclasping the hair piece that had held her hair up in a hold from her face, and she allowed her blonde hair to fall over her shoulders and back. She preferred her hair down and free, rather than in a tight hold. Perhaps this was the same as with her personality. Raisa never liked being tied down, bounded or constricted. Was this why she never married? The only one of her siblings that never married or had children? Perhaps. Raisa's onyx eyes fell upon Vaughn once more. She smiled and she responded, "Perhaps I should hold you to a foot massage for a later date. But for now, I do believe that we need to stop by a restaurant." Exploring the pyramids could bring about a healthy appetite. Though Raisa ate sparingly to keep her weight down but not too much, she found herself quite needing of something edible. Raisa glanced up at the sky, as his words were nothing more but the truth. Secrets are sometimes better left untold. She believed that. If someone were to discover her own secret, it would send her to Azkaban for the rest of her days. All of her crimes would come out in the open: killing, maiming, torturing people to insanity. Someone that looked like her would do such crimes seemed unrealistic, but rarely had someone seen what she really was behind onyx eyes. "I do believe that, Vaughn," her gaze falling upon the man once more, "Secrets are better left untold." |

With his eyes taking in every inch of Raisa, Vaughn watched her hair fall gracefully down the back of her head. Seeing her in the evening glow only emphasised her beauty. The woman's acceptance of a foot massage caused the man to smile. He would now have to research the technique in case she ever called him on it. The thought was quickly changed as Raisa also though having something to eat was necessary. Walking around for several hours could increase a man's appetite greatly. As Raisa glanced towards the sky, Vaughn listened to her words. If he was the type of person to analyse everything all the time, the professor would have thought Raisa was holding on to secrets of her own. After a moment, Vaughn gave his friend a warming smile; before allowing her to lead the way when she was ready. Moving across the darkened sand was relaxing. The day was drawing to an end, and the atmosphere had a slight buzz to it from the remaining tourists out for an enjoyable night. Once the pair had reached the main streets of the city again, Vaughn began to look for a suitable place to have an evening meal. It hadn't taken long however, as a quiet building caught his eye. The two could eat in relative peace, and with-out interruptions from anyone un-wanted. Vaughn was having too good a time to have to deal with any annoyances. During their meal, the two decided to end the evening shortly after. It would likely be late once they arrived home, and Vaughn had to work the next day too. The thought of teaching chatty second years dulled the moment for him slightly. He would most definitely prefer to remain in Egypt. Spending most of his adult life travelling, the professor knew when to use muggle money; so pulled out the correct amount and paid the waiter, leaving a small tip too. Whilst the night closed in, Vaughn stepped out-side; taking in a deep breath of cool air as he stretched. All he required now was a good sleep. Waiting for Raisa to organise herself, Vaughn questioned her mood. "Was the evening to your satisfaction?". As he thought about the day, the professor knew he would have to raise the bar slightly if the two met again. |

The day was very much to Raisa’s liking, the entire day wasted – no, that was not the word for it, but rather – devoted to Vaughn instead of her dress shop. The meal, the exploration, it was all grand and fabulous. Raisa was thankful to have spent a whole day with a good friend. Someone she would never have to worry over, someone she wouldn’t have to resort to killing one day. Raisa doubted that Vaughn is the type of person that would ever get on her nerves. Then again, he didn’t know the true her, the killer she can be. Raisa smiled graciously and she murmured, “I had an admirable time. Thank you for giving me such a pleasurable and well-remembered day.” Raisa bowed slightly and she waved. With a final smile, and a loud pop, Raisa was out of Egypt. She knew she would have to do this again, especially with Vaughn. |

Aww. Cuuuute! Listening to the woman's response, Vaughn completely agreed with her. The day had been pleasurable; and would certainly be remembered for the next few. There was little way of knowing how long the two would continue to be friends, or if they would ever meet again. Watching the woman bow, Vaughn gave another warming smile; before watching her dis-apparate. A nice warm shower and bed with a book was on the agenda now. Even if it was the early hours back in Finland. Gripping his jacket, the professor vanished; swirling sand as he left Egypt behind. |
