LESSON 6: REVIEW & STUDY
Study, study, study, if you want those grades

Professor Merrythought was behind her desk in the classroom as she watched the students enter. She was reading a book since all of her grading was caught up at the moment. This week was an easy week. It was just a review week for the students, since the exam was coming up shortly. She put her bookmark into the muggle novel she was reading, and stood up. "Welcome back. This is going to be an easy week. Exams are looming, and I want to give you a week to catch up and review. If you have any assignments to get caught up on, please go ahead and work on those this week. If not, please use the time to review. You may work on things here or in the library or wherever you wish, but please use your time wisely." She smiled at the class and then added. "Oh, and you are now free to go." With that, Aurora sat back down, ready to dive back into her book.
Homework Assignment
Super simple day, today. Please just roleplay an attendance post. Bonus if you role play your review and write it out. If you have work to catch up on, please use this opportunity to work on it. Don't forget if you need to, there is the A=5 option, though not recommended, it's possible. Have a great week! Don't forget, once the exam is posted, there is no going back! If you haven't done any of the lessons this year, then don't forget you can catch up this week in the 'make-up' thread.

With examinations hanging over Abbey's head like a freshly sharpened Guillotine she brought all of her notes to her Muggle Studies classroom, dressed in muggle attire in case they did have a lesson today involving them going out instead of a study period as usual. Her eyes were stressed and tired as she walked into class, smiling warmly at Professor Merrythought she took her seat in the front, and took her notes out, sighing a breath of relief as she said they could study or go.

Instead of going to the library, Abbey decided it would be beneficial to be in the silent room and study this way because there were always people studying in the library even people talking loudly, fighting and doing inappropriate things for their age.

When she found her stomach grumbling from hunger for missing breakfast, Abbey meekly packed her things up and left the class, eagerly going down to the Great Hall.

Well done, Ms Lurken. Shame you didn't attend previous class's. However, there is still time.

Week six! How so many people hated this week, Patricia was one of them. She didn’t hate it exactly, but she hated how it made her feel. Like most people, she was nervous, afraid, anxious and a tad excited as it meant the school year was ending. This year was going to be very different though, not just for her, but the entire school, with Hogwarts New Zealand’s first graduating class, there was sure to be a lot of tears. Patricia didn’t know many of the seventh years, mainly only on first name basis, but when she talked to them, they were really nice.

Putting the graduation and the wedding out of her mind for this week she started to focus on her revision. Which consisted of, late night/early morning cramming sessions, endless note making and then re-doing them all over again, this being her third year, she just took it in her stride. Sticking to her usual jog, shower and breakfast routine (she needed to relax some how) she put on her muggle outfit and made her way to Muggle Studies. She knew before Professor Merrythought even began what this lesson would involve. Revision! And after everyone had taken their seats her suspicions were confirmed. After Professor Merrythought had told them what to do Patricia took out a binder, they were much more useful when wanting to keep each separate classes notes in one easy place. She started to look over her notes and made some fresh ones for some that had gotten a bit ripped or wrinkly.

Third Year Review

Week 1:
  • Introduction

Week 2:
  • Comparasion between Muggle and Wizarding schooling systems

Week 3:
  • Trip to Professor Weiss’ flat in San Francisco
  • Used muggle living equipment

Week 4:
  • Electricity

Week 5:
  • Money
  • Money is what makes the world go round.
  • Everyone needs money to survive, well
  • In the wizarding world we just use a coin-system, and galleons are the largest, most valuable coin.
  • It is made out of gold and has a serial number imprinted along the rim.
  • Knuts are the lowest unit.
  • It is made of bronze
  • 29 knuts are worth one Sickle.
  • Sickle is the next level up in the coins.
  • It is made of silver and it takes 17 of them to equal 1 galleon.
  • Galleons are made of gold and are the highest unit of currency.
  • There are a total of 493 knuts to 1 galleon.
  • In most muggle currency systems, there are coins and paper notes.
  • The notes carry a larger value than the coins.
  • Each note carries a serial number on it.
  • In Britain, they also contain a picture of the Queen, as well as the coins, because they see her as their sovereign and she deserves respect as the Queen.
  • They also put a coat of arms on the other said, commonly referred to as 'tails', and the Queen's head is often referred to as 'heads', however you can't flip a note, so on one side there the Queen and the other an old exchequer
  • There is such a wide variety of muggle money systems.
  • Most countries have their own variation.
  • I did Ireland – Euro
  • Trip – Thomas Deacon Academy - Peterborough
  • I did Dance (Street) and Sport (Badminton)

Week 6:
  • Review
