Professor Glasson sat in her chair, her head down on her desk. She was snoring softly when the students entered. They were silent, trying not to wake her. Without lifting her head, Isolde signaled to each of their desks with her wand. Before their eyes, pieces of parchment appeared. "Please read over those, I am much too tired to lecture you on those, I have been wearing myself a bit thin lately. The contents of this lesson will be on the exam, so I suggest you read them carefully." Although her voice was muffled from the desk, she knew the students could hear her. "Class dismissed. Take those papers with you and read over them."

Madame Mim and Proteus
One of the first wizards to show signs of animagus was a man named Proteus, a Gree. He had knowledge of the past, present, and future. Unfortunately, this meant he was often being asked for predictions. To get away from people, he would quickly transform into a variety of frightening creatures and animals.
Madame Mim was a sorcerer who was one of Merlin's most powerful foes. She had the ability to transform herself. During the greatest battle of all time against Merlin, Madame Mim transfigured herself into a mighty dragon. To that, Merlin turned himself into a field mouse and began nibbling on Madame Mims tail. She couldn't see him in the grass, so she turned into a furious and hungry cat. Once this happened, Merlin quickly turned into another cat. Madame Mim was so shocked at his change; she had thought he would become something more; it took her a moment to gather her wits. Soon enough, she transfigured into a dog. Once again, Merlin followed suit, becoming a dog. In a furious fit, Madame Mim decided to play at Merlin's own game. She decided to take on a defensive shape, in an attempt to force him into choosing shape. She quickly turned herself into a large oak tree. Merlin, in almost a mockery, turned himself into a small, powder blue bird, and flew up to perch on one of the oaks branches. While Merlin sat perching on the oak, Madame Mim erupted in a rage and suddenly turned herself into a large snake, poised to eat Merlin. Just as she was snapping her jaws shut, Merlin turned into a gnat, flying quickly to safety. Suddeny, Merlin and Madame Mim began changing shapes quickly, as quickly as thought. Finally Madame changed herself into an aullay; a very large horse with the trunk of an elephant. She charged at Merlin, who suddenly disappeared, he was nowhere to be seen. The aullay (Madame Mim) began to hiccup, turn red, swelled visibly, began whooping, came out in spots, staggered three times, rolled its eyes, and fell rumbling to the ground; falling to her death. Merlin reappeared; he had changed himself into the microbes of so many diseases and bombarded her with illness. So far ahead of his time, Merlin used medical properties to defeat his greatest foe.

Hollie entered the classroom, silently. She was stunned to see Glasson with her head on the desk, aseep. She was snoring! Stifling a giggle, Hollie took her seat and took out all the necessary items - parchment, ink, and quill. She was rather shcoker when a piece of parchment appeared before her eyes, but was grateful that there would be no lecture. Wow, this teacher was awesome! Hollie was better at taking things in when reading them, as opposed to listening to someone drone on and on endlessly.

Hollie spent the lesson quietly reading over the text, making small notes and highlighting certain parts which she was sure would be more important than others. The lesson eventually finished, so Hollie packed away her things, taking a mental note to read it through again before next lesson, in case any questions were asked about it. The bell went and Hollie practically skipped out of the classroom, despite her exhaustion.

This day Emme woke up with so much energy it wasn't funny. Jumping out of bed she skipped about the dorm for a short period of time having her small kitten skip around with her as she moved. "Aww what a good morning kitten you are" Emme said picking up her kitten and kissing her softly on the nose before sitting her on the bed.
"Now time for class" She said more to herself as she began to get dress. Simple enough dressing for school was. Uniforms were easy enough to put on and it meant that you didnt' have to spend the time picking out an outfit.
Within ten minutes, Emme was ready and already making her way down the Ravenclaw tower stairs. The History of Magic of coarse was her next stop. Taking her seat she smiled brightly at the girl who was there already yet the name escaped her. Looking up at the Professor a small laugh left Emme's mouth only for her hand to quickly cover it hoping to muffle the sound.
The Professor seemed almost sleeping. That was more than funny. Yet without too much wait, the Professor began to speak coming out of her actual sleeping state. Handing out a simple piece of paper as the lesson, Emme grinned from ear to ear. Thank goodness She thought happily taking the sheet of people and leaving the classroom without a word.

Sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, Emme read over the paper loving the story quite a bit. It was like a fairy tale that considered knowledge the best power. What a Ravenclaw story it was.
