Professor Weiss was sitting on the top of her desk per usual when the students entered. She waited for them to take a seat, then hopped down to greet them.

"Welcome back! Glad to see you all here. This term is going to be lots of fun for us. We are going to be covering Muggle Communications and Travel. There will be a few field trips, as well as plenty of new things to learn about, well, new for many of you at least," she said with a smile.

"Okay. Let's get back into things. I want to start out by reviewing a bit from last term. Sooo, we are going to take a quiz!" Professor Weiss knew that pop quizzes were not fun, but went with it anyways. What better way to get the students back on track?

She flourished her wand, and a piece of paper landed in front of each student. "Use your pens or pencils please and answer these few questions. Once you are done, you are free to go. If you need any new supplies for this year, please feel free to take from the counter in the back."

She turned and sat down at her desk, picking up a muggle novel to read by Kathy Reichs.

Kat excitedly made her way to her first Muggle Studies lesson of the year. She liked this class and Professor Weiss was super nice. She walked into the classroom and took her seat with a polite nod in the professors direction. Kat waited patiently as the rest of her classmates filed in and then listened intently as Professor Weiss described what they would be learning this year and let out a small groan when a pop quiz was mentioned.

Kat dug in her bag for the pen that she was given last year and withdrew it, turning her attention to the paper in front of her. I hate quizzes, no chance to study she thought as she jotted down the answers to the questions.

Pop Quiz
1. Does electricity work around magic?
~No

2. Name 2 types of muggle monetary systems.
~Coins and paper bills

Actually those are not types of monetary systems. I was looking for things like Dollars or Pounds.

3. What is the basic function of a microwave?
~It heats up food.

4. Name 2 differences between muggle schools and wizarding schools.
~Students don't usually live at school and students keep items in a locker (I think that's what it's called) during the day.

Kailey walked into the first muggle studies lesson of the year and quickly took a seat in the second row. Remembering this classes muggle school supplies rule Kailey got out a muggle Lead pen and a purple notebook. Kailey sat there while the rest of the class came in, not turning back to look at any of them incase she saw Njord, she listened to what would be going on in class that year and groaned at the prospect of a pop quiz.

Oh well, at least it's in a subject you've pretty much got down. Kailey thought, thankful for her muggle upbringing. When the test was put in front of her Kailey pushed down on the eraser of the plastic pencil two times and got to work.

1. Does electricity work around magic?
-No
2. Name 2 types of muggle monetary systems.
-Coins and Bills

Actually those are not types of monetary systems. I was looking for things like Dollars or Pounds.

3. What is the basic function of a microwave?
- It heats up and thaws out food in a short amount of time
4. Name 2 differences between muggle schools and wizarding schools.
Most muggle children go back home every evening and put their things in lockers.

Kailey realized that that test had been extremely easy. I'm really glad I decided to take Muggle studies now... Not that hard and fun field trips! she thought as she turned it in. At the end of class she quickly got up and darted out of the room up to the Ravenclaw common room.

((I might have got 2. wrong, but thats how I read it when I first see it, so I decided not to cheat :P ))

Lemina wandered down to Muggle Studies and sat in the second row, near her friends. She was wearing muggle clothes, as they were told to, and had her pens, pencils and notebook with her, as usual. Muggle Studies is a fun subject, pretty easy too. Yawning, she rubbed her eyes. She hadn't gotten nearly enough sleep the night before and really regretted it now. Really regretted it.

Pulling out her equipment for this class, Lemi wandered what they would be doing today. A quiz? She groaned. First lesson back 'nall. She looked over at the girl on her left and flashed her a weak smile. She really wasn't in the mood for anything strenuous today. As the pop quiz was handed around she glanced at the questions. "Not the most challenging..." Lemina muttered to herself, but her answers were still pretty concise.

1. Does electricity work around magic?
No.

2. Name 2 types of muggle monetary systems.
Pound and dollar.

3. What is the basic function of a microwave?
Heat up food.

4. Name 2 differences between muggle schools and wizarding schools.
Not as common for muggles to board there.
Use lockers.

At least it hadn't been as hard as she thought it would have been. It's over. Sighing, Lemi decided to make her way up to her dorm, to bed! A very early night, or at least a short nap before lunch.

Great Job! Perfect quiz!

Njord stumbled noisily into the class. He had been running late and while he tried to be sneaky he didn't do very well at it. Listening to the Professor he almost died when he heard the word pop quiz. He hung his head and gathered up his quill and ink to use to write the test.

In muggle schools they use pens and pencils, in wizarding schools we use quills and ink. In muggle schools they use lockers, in wizarding schools...we don't.

Njord looked over his test. He wasn't sure how he had done but he didn't have any better answers and decided to hand it in as it was. He smiled at the Professor as he handed in his test and then gathered his things and left, feeling rather tired from tossing and turning all the night before.

Muggle Studies was one class that Ana-Cole could do with her eyes closed, which was a good thing because really her body needed time to close it's eyes and get some rest. It wasn't that muggle studies was an overly easy class. No it was the simple fact that Ana-Cole was a muggleborn, she spent her summers in a muggle home and well that made it all the more easier to understand the muggle culture.

As she walked into the muggle studies classroom she took her seat realizing that yet again she was one of the last ones to arrive. It seemed she still could not master her timing. Hopefully it was just because it was the first week back. maybe as the weeks passed on Ana-Cole would be able to arrive a bit earlier and not feel like the one everyone is waiting for.

Taking her seat she waited for the lesson to begin, resting her elbow on the table and her head upon her hand. Though this was not a class in which Ana-Cole could sleep in, well not today. As the Professor began she decided that the class was in need of a pop quiz.

Groaning a bit as she looked over the quiz in front of her, the words blending together Come on brain function work Ana-Cole thought as she finally could focus enough to read the quiz paper itself. Taking out some ink and a quill, Ana-Cole began to fill out the quiz with her rather shaky hands.

Pop Quiz
1. Does electricity work around magic? No Electricity does not work around magic for the simple reason that most muggles do not have magic.
2. Name 2 types of muggle monetary systems. Two Types of monetary Systems are the euro and the dollar bill.
3. What is the basic function of a microwave? The basic function of the microwave is to cook food easier and faster, usually, than a stove or oven.
4. Name 2 differences between muggle schools and wizarding schools. One difference between a muggle school and a wizarding school is the topics learned of coarse. Muggles will cover English and Math while Wizards and Witches will cover Arithmancy and Charms. Another difference is the materials required to get for learning. How many muggle schools require a wand as a basic tool, none that I know of.

As Ana-Cole finished her quiz, she brought it up to the Professor. Smiling a weak smile, as she left the room falling asleep later on the Gryffindor couch.

Great Job! Perfect quiz!

Chace was getting back into the swing of attending lessons, although he had yet to really converse with any of his classmates. Part of him thought it was better that way; the Slytherin had always been introverted. It took a while to find the Muggle Studies classroom, but with the direction of a rather helpful portrait he was sent the right way.

The Slytherin boy took out a quill and ink, groaning softly as the Professor announced that they would be having a pop quiz. Scribbling his answers on the quiz and hoping that he had gotten them right, as he had guessed for the most of it, he placed it on the Professor's desk. Hopefully they would be learning something new next week.

Pop Quiz
1. Does electricity work around magic? No- it tends to go haywire and will not function properly.
2. Name 2 types of muggle monetary systems. Muggles use either coins or paper, or a combination of both.

Actually, a monetary system would be something like Dollars or Euros or Pounds.

3. What is the basic function of a microwave? Cooks food through radiation.
4. Name 2 differences between muggle schools and wizarding schools. Muggle students do not normally board at their schools. They also have more of a variety of subjects of which to partake in, whereas wizarding children have only about a dozen.
