[justify] "Good morning everyone, we all doing well? Guess I should warn you now that this won't be that much of a fun lesson, but it is important so bare with me," the young man said in a small chuckle though he could see that his students were in either a state of confusion or a state of disappointment. Misha pulled out his wand and with a silent mutter of the incantation, he began to write with his wand, facing away so that when done the students could see the words clearly, Flagrate and Aparecium, that was what they would be learning, the professor once again smiled warmly at his class, "Flagrate is the incantation for wand writing while Aparecium is for the Revealing Charm," Misha explained to his students "Wand writing is a basic skill that wizards learn to use. May not be as useful as levitation and summoning, but it is a skill nonetheless. The Revealing Charm is used to reveal secret messages in the form of invisible ink. And while it is a handy charm, it is not tolerated in cheating, so don't get any ideas," the man said with a chuckle and a wink.

"Today, you will be practicing both charms, but for now, I want you all to write a message for one of your classmates. Just one. It can be anything from an apology, a prank to a confession, nonsense even. Your choice. But you will be using these," he said as with a little swish of his wand, a bottle of ink, a quill and a small strip of parchment flew to the each student's desk. "That is invisible ink. Just a small message if you please. And don't put your name in the end. It'll be sent as anonymous," Misha reminded them both then letting the students do that few minutes. When he deemed all of them done, he flicked his wand and let the ink and quill return to their respective places while the parchment remained with the students. "The key to the Revealing Charm is concentration, three-tap method and the incantation, 'AH-par-EH-see-um'. Aparecium," the professor paused for a bit before clasping his hands together, "Now, on to the next charm before you guys get started,"

"In wand writing, like most spells, you need to be able to say the incantation properly. In this case, it will be 'fla-GRA-tay'. Say it with me," he called out to the students and let them join him in pronouncing the incantation, which they did a couple of times before he then continued on, "Very good. Now, that that part is covered, the only thing you need is concentration. Unlike other spells where you just need to empty your mind and visualize, this one is a different case," Misha paused as he waited for the information he was flooding them with to settle into their minds. After all, the needed to remember stuff like this or they'll be sure to fail, indeed. "You actually need to concentrate magic on to the tip of your wand and imagine it as quill, pencil, pen or whatever sort of writing material if you please," he said with a smile as he called their attention with a clap of his hand. "Okay! Wands out!" he announced as a way for them to start practicing. "One last thing, with constant practice, you would be able to switch the places of what you have written or draw with a flick of your wand and also make them fade when you please," he added to them as more of an additional information than part of the actual lesson. And so, he started to allow them to practice their wand writing skills, as well as with the people sitting next to them the revealing charm. "When you have written your first name and made the note from the person sitting next to them visible, you are free to go. Those who want to stay can of course stay," Misha smiled at the students as they got started he began walking around the students, helping them out whenever they seemed to need it.

Part-Veela | blunt | competitive

[justify]Simon always enjoyed the school events, not only because they allowed the opportunity to show off how much he could brush up but because it allowed him the chance to spend time with people and away from his studies. It was right of him, to realise that there was more to school that his education, there was more to it than just sitting at a desk and revising, school events certainly prepared him for it all. He was going to definitely sign up to more things in his fourth year, which wasn’t too late for anything. He knew the sorts of things he liked now, which he hadn’t known as well in his first few years. He had also been unsure of how much work everything would be, now he knew, know he knew he could handle it and he was looking forward to enjoying the future years of his classes. The boy knew how much he could handle and that he had the time and ability to take more on. The part veela was getting for the day, he had come in from a morning run and after showering was checking the homework he’d done to be able to take it with him to the appropriate classes, to figure out what he had left to do. THe teen got ready for the day and left for the class when he was good.

Simon walked into the charms lesson and took a seat. He looked towards the front of the class where the professor was stood and was rather surprised at the insistence that this wouldn't be a good lesson of charms, he didn't believe such a thing would be possible, of course they would have a good lesson, Charms was always good. He wouldn't believe that it could ever be bad. But, it just appeared that maybe it would be quite a lecture. He nodded as the professor told them to write a note and he just wrote something nonesensical, something about how great onions were, and used the invisible ink that had been handed to them. He listened as the professor then told them what the spell was and made them repeat the name of the spell. The professor moved on to the next part of the lesson, the second hand writing charm. He nodded and listened as the professor told them what the spell was. He was pretty eager to try it and watched as the professor demonstrated what it was like. With that the class was handed over to them. He took his time with the second spell, it was both more difficult and the one spell he actually wanted to do, it took a few turns before he had his full name and then did the first spell they'd learned on the parchment, that was far easier for him. With that the lesson was wrapped up and he left the room.

Space girl | SCIENCE! | optimist | dreamer | question everything

Stella was baffled when Professor Haden announced that this wouldn't be a fun lesson; she didn't believe him (Charms was always fun, and based on the readings these spells sounded interesting), and she always found it irritating when professors implied the subjects they were teaching weren't enjoyable. She smiled, already enjoying herself despite what he'd said, when the professor wrote the names of the spells in the air with his wand. How was that not fun? Stella took notes on what he said about the spells, quickly, excited to begin. With the invisible ink she wrote an affectionate Shakespeare quote one that she thought was particularly appropriate to invisible ink: O! learn to read what silent love hath writ: To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit. She passed it to Zoe, grinning in anticipation of her girlfriend's reaction.

Stella was particularly enthusiastic to try the wand-writing charm; she dutifully practiced the pronounciation with the rest of the class, and wrote down what Professor Haden said about how to cast the spell. That was the sort of detail she didn't want to forget when practicing later. She also scribbled down the more elaborate things they could make the spell do, things she'd definitely try to do later. Then, finally, they could start practicing. Stella held her wand up and frowned at it, trying to imagine magic concentrated at the tip. "Flagrate!" On her first attempt, the tip glowed, but the writing faded out as she wrote it, like a sparkler. Stella chuckled at that, and tried again, making a little more of the writing stay in place. It took her several more tries before her whole name remained, but finally there it was, glowing in the air before her. She turned to the paper on her desk and tried Aparecium. That spell was much easier to master, and Stella smiled as she read her sweet note from Zoe, tucking it into her pocket as they left the classroom together.

Stating that the lesson wasn't going to be fun was not the best way to capture Mervyn's interest. He was pleasantly surprised though, when Professor Haden explained what they were going to be doing - the Gryffindor had been expecting a lecture. He wasted no time writing a silly note to Leda, wondering how awful his handwriting was going to look when she revealed the message. It wasn't easy to write when he couldn't see his own writing. He gave her a nervous smile as he handed it over. The air between them had been awkward ever since Mervyn had impulsively kissed her. He'd expected things to go back to normal fairly quickly, but it hung around them, a permanent tension. While he waited to be handed a note he practised Flagrate, which was probably the highlight of the lesson: writing his name, watching it hang in the air in front of him and eventually fade. He was tempted to draw a few other things, but decided he'd best not in front of Professor Haden. Eventually, when he got a note, he practised the revealing charm, too, realising now why the professor had said it wouldn't be a very interesting lesson. It was all right, but not the most thrilling subject. After that he packed up and headed out.

[justify]Seated for her third lessons, Alexis pulled out her book and notebook for the class. She thought back to the time she spent with Xavier at the north tower which instantly brought a smile to her face. Shaking her head at this, she looked up to the front where the professor was waiting for the others to arrive. The Ravenclaw just settled for scanning the pages of her book as well as checking her notes. Other students started filling in and in no time, the class started. The lecture got all of her attention as well as her classmates' and soon enough, the only sound that could be heard was the pens scribbling against the paper.

The short lecture ended and moved to the practical part. With the incantation already practiced verbally, it was time for them to practice them with their wands. It started with an instruction to write a short message anonymously. The Ravenclaw smiled at this as she wrote Xavier's name. Short and simple. She then practiced both charms and was satisfied after getting both of them right after few tries. She practiced more especially with the wand writing one.Soon enough, the lesson ended and the class was dismissed. Alexis packed up her stuff and went out back to her dormitory.

[justify]Athena was enjoying her third year at Hogwarts, although the only thing was she was a little worried about maintaining her good reputation around the school. She needed to talk to more people, socialise much more often, like she used to back in first and second year. She didn't always have an amazing impression on others on first meet, but she did do a well job with many people, she believed. Athena grabbed everything she needed for class and headed to Charms, taking a seat and plastering a smile on her face, as Professor Haden told them this lesson was not going to be much fun. She shrugged, not caring that it wasn't going to be fun, she just needed to learn the spells and be one of the first people in her class to master them. At least they were different, though Athena rolled her eyes. How were they first of all, not fun, and second of all, useful? She was pretty sure there were better spells that were used in daily life, she hardly thought she was in need of these. She listened, bored, as the teacher explained what these spells were all about and more, including the incantation.

Athena didn't bother to take notes, after all she had done the reading herself - wasn't it homework? Something came to mind, then - if they had to read in advance about the spells they were to do in the following lesson, they why did Professor Haden always explain the charms anyway? She mouthed the incantation for the revealing charm and soon they moved on to the other part, the other spell they were to practice. This charm was less important, but maybe it wouldn't so bad. She couldn't use this outside of school, unfortunately, as she wasn't allowed to perform underage magic, but otherwise she would show this to her parents. She could owl them to show them she knew how to cast it. After more information was engraved in her mind, it was time to try them out. Athena took out her wand, and cleared her throat, quickly writing a short message as she said, "Flagrate" and imagining the tip of her wand like that of a quill. She wrote her first name successfully, and when she had both given and received a note from her neighbour she pointed her wand at the note and clearly said, "Aparecium", watching with success as the message revealed itself. She smiled, and looked at the clock. Before she left she thanked the professor, making sure not to leave anything behind.

Charlie really enjoyed the practicality of subjects like Charms, so she found herself actually in quite good spirits as she took her usual seat at the back of the Charms classroom, getting her things ready for hopefully another fun lesson. To her disappointment though, Professor Haden began the class by saying that it wasn't going to be fun, and Charlie wondered if she should just put her wand away now. She listened though, as Professor Haden explained what they were going to be doing. Wand writing didn't seem that important, but Charlie perked up a little at the thought of being able to send hidden messages. Maybe she could tell her friends to write all her rose messages in invisible ink next year, so she wouldn't have to do with nosy kids reading them. When the invisible ink was handed out Charlie hesitated a moment before just drawing a skull, not knowing what else to do. The writing done, Charlie listened as the professor continued, mumbling along with the rest of the class when he asked them to repeat. She didn't see herself really using the wand writing spell, much more interested in learning the revealing one, but when it was time to practice, Charlie got her wand out and began practicing. It took a few tries but she was eventually able to produce her own name in midair. Satisfied with her progress, Charlie quickly turned her attention to what really interested her. She was able to reveal the note on the first try, barely paying attention to what was even written on it. Once the lesson was over she picked up her things quickly, eager to head out.
