[justify]Professor Summers waited in front of his desk for the students to arrive, as a human this time, unfortunately. Beside him sat a large glass jar, which wasn't usually present in his classes, but would be necessary for todays lesson.

"Hello there! I'm not going to do too much talking today, so let's get on to it." Professor Summers smiled as he waved his wand at the jar. It floated up off his desk and into his outstretched hand. "Ok, in this jar are matches. I would like each of you to walk up to me and carefully take a match. Single file now, and don't push anyone. No trying to light them, either, or you'll get a face full of Aguamenti and a month of detention."

Once everyone had a match, Professor Summers put the jar back down and turned to the students, his own match in hand to use as a demonstration. "Today we are going to turn matches into needles. Of course we will be using the 'three tap' motion with our wand as usual. The incantation for this is 'Flammeus Tailora'." Professor Summers tapped his wand in the palm of his hand three times and said "Flammeus Tailora". In the blink of an eye the match's wood became sleek metal, and the phosphorous sulfide changed into the needle's eye, perfect for threading. "It is that simple. Well, as always, I will be walking around the room as you work. If you need something, raise your hand. At the end of the class, I need you to turn your needles back in. I'll be counting them. Begin!"

Note: "Finite" is a counter-spell, not Untransfiguration, and shouldn't be used to reverse any transfigurations.

Time flew at Hogwarts, but Alice didn't really mind. She was happy to look forward to the yule ball and the Christmas holidays, as she was excited for both. She had no doubt the yule ball would be magical and beautiful, but she was also very excited to see her parents again. She wasn't homesick here at Hogwarts, but she did miss spending time at home.

She was eager to see what they would be doing during Transfiguration today. The Hufflepuff had really enjoyed getting to try out a spell and seeing the effects. She took her seat in the classroom, smiling at the professor as he started his lesson. It made her happy to hear they wouldn't be sitting through another lecture, and she listened carefully to Professor Summers' explanation. She got in line to get a match, and carried it carefully back to her place. She didn't think it was like she was going to light it by accident, but still wanted to avoid it if she could. She listened as the professor explained they would be using the 'three tap' method again, and took careful note of the incantation. It sounded kind of complicated, but she hoped she would be able to repeat it correctly. Once the professor told them to begin, Alice carefully tapped her match three times before carefully pronouncing the incantation. Nothing happened. She tried a few more times, and on the fourth try it finally looked a little silver and pointy. After a few more tries, it actually looked like a needle.
