The loud sound of croaking filled the room and the hall as students approached the room, In a container on each desk contained a frog for each student to transfigure into a cricket for todays lesson, once each student arrived Kida began her lesson 'I will get to the frogs but first, Non-verbal Spells' she began looking around the classroom 'It takes great focus to be able to cast spells non-verbally, so today if you feel up to for it I want you to practice casting this spell non-verbally, but for those who don't feel up to it, the incantation is Locusta.'

Kida gestured to the frogs on everyones desk 'Today we shall be transfiguring these frogs into grasshoppers and back again, visualize in your mind your grasshopper and remember your frog and as always if you need help, call on me, and please try not to disfigure the frogs with giant cartoon eyes when you transfigure them back'

Walking around the classroom watching students she guided any which needed assistance, she was happy to hear that the room was mostly quiet with students attempting the non-verbal casting. Once everyone had finished transfiguring the frogs she went back o the front of the class 'Excellent work, that is all for today, no homework, Everyone is dismissed'

[justify]Sianna was pretty pleased with herself, it had only taken her a week to find and decide upon who she wanted to take over her position when she left Accio. The boy seemed shy but his pictures with the magical camera had proved to her to be good enough. Room for improvement naturally but it was certainly going to be a good place for him to learn. It hadn’t taken her long, and that was what she was most happy about. The length of time it had taken her to find him. Sianna had assumed it would take her the entire year. The girl was able to put that task and thought to the back of her mind as she focused herself on classes and the NEWTs that she would do at the end of the year. She was ready for the beginning of this probably hellish year. Of course NEWTs would be hellish, but she could do it. Sianna was making sure she had everything, gathering up books and notes that she would be able to use to move forward in her classes and do well within them. She took her wand and placed it into her pocket before she walked out of the dorm and headed to class.

After learning about what they'd be covering over the semester, Sianna had done a bit of reading and she knew exactly what the insects they'd be dealing with would be for. She walked into the classroom and took her usual seat in the class. She couldn't help but look at the creatures in disgust, the fact she'd have to deal with them was not nice. She had no interest but she had to of course. She listened to the professor as the woman told them what they'd be doing. It was actually quite a lot, revisiting and old spell, transfiguring it back and non-verbal magic too. The teen took the frog when it was handed to her. She didn't touch it for particularly long and instead just focused on getting it to sit still with her books and the pointed her wand at it. She imagined it changing into a grasshopper and said the incantation in her mind, watching as it transfigured before her with no issues. She had a few more issues turning it back, but she did eventually get it and Sianna was pretty pleased about that fact. She did the spell again, turning into a grasshopper and back to a frog, managing much better that time around. With that the lesson was brought to an end and she left the room.

[justify]Ares wasn’t finding the second week any easier than the first, especially as the first game of the semester for them was in a week. For now though, he was just focusing on this week in front of him. It was the only way he could think about managing his time and managing to not get completely overwhelmed with the amount of work that he had to do, for all the things he had to do. The boy had never wanted to be prefect and he was certainly glad now that he wasn’t. The work that would’ve added on to his pile was not something he would be able to cope with, if then additionally had all the other things he was currently doing. The teen had no idea how others managed. He could not manage. The boy came in from a little practice session on the pitch, working hard to ensure that he was ready to face the challenge of the week. Quidditch and flying always helped him feel refreshed and he was looking to leave the school playing, so it was important to keep it up. The boy got himself ready for the day, just knowing he had to just through every day and things would get easier as time went on and he worked harder on everything. He would find his rhythm. All he needed was a little time. But of course, there was very little and within moments of showering, Ares was out the door and heading to class.

After almost entirely forgetting about what they were due to learn in the transfiguration class until the morning off, when he decided to actually look up what they would be so he would know. The boy had been more confused, unsure of what untransfiguration had really entailed and the boy just decided to head to class and be done with it. So, he got to the room and sat down in the room, looking up at the professor as he waited the few moments before she got started. As it started, much like with the nonverbal magic they were to start at the beginning of all that they had learned, to learn a different manner of doing it, or in this occasion to undo it almost immediately after having done it. Additionally they were also supposed to go to it non-verbally, that part he was sure he'd struggle. He got the frog and pointed his wand at it. The boy took a deep breath and then in his mind had the spell be said in front of him, it turned from a frog into a grasshopper. He did his best from stopping it from jumping too far and took his time to change the creature back, though this took far more effort for him to do. By the end of the class he had gotten fairly good. He walked out of the room, hoping the next class would be easier.

[justify]Zared could admit that school life had just returned to normal, his concerns about not being with his wife were superseded by the fact that school marched on as it had always done. Relentlessly pushing them forward and towards the end. He missed her company in the evenings after patrolling and he was disappointed they had not been paired together to patrol, why would the head people know to put a husband and wife together? They weren’t some backwards twins. He still got to spend time with her, and they did still often patrol together, but it just wasn’t the same as when they were actually allowed to. The slytherin was getting ready for the day ahead, he had patrolling that evening, and he knew it would mean less time with his wife, but that was just a part of school, it didn’t stop him loving her, and it didn’t mean he thought any less about her. He would see her in class anyway. The boy gathered the last few things, making sure his wedding ring was sitting correctly before grabbing his wand and leaving for class. This would be an easy week he was sure, it always was for him, he never had to do much for it.

After working hard at the non-verbal magic over the break, Zared had to admit that his confidence in general around school was higher. He no longer felt like he was doomed to fail in the classes where he used magic, like the class he had just stepped into. Transfiguration had been one of his weaker classes. It had been one he had struggled far more with, it just was difficult to do well in such a class when his inability to really focus himself was there. The non-verbal magic did that. He took his seat in the room and listened as the professor told them what they would be doing, which was in essence revisiting an old spell. Zared could do it, and he'd do it non verbally. He took the frog and let it just sit on his desk before he pointed his wand at it, and imagined it changing to a grasshopper, he watched as it did, his mind had said the spell and it had worked. Now was the new bit, changing it back. He took a few more tries to get this, but that too he managed non-verbally and he just kept working until the professor dismissed them. He would get better at it, he was sure, just needed a little bit more time.
