Mother of Two Girls | Astronomy Professor | HS Graduate Ravenclaw

Professor Harrington was saddened that the first semester was nearly over. Although it was exciting to know the Yule Ball was coming up, she had gotten her oldest daughter a very pretty dress for the evening if the young girl choose to wear it. Sitting at her desk Sarah looked over the notes from the semester and realized she had managed to get all the information the first years needed into the previous lessons. Letting the students in she waited until they all sat down to begin speaking. "Good Afternoon students, I want to just say first I'm very proud of all the work you did last week. This week we are meeting earlier in the day because it's review day! I want all of you to review the material we learned over the semester, feel free to ask any questions you like about the material and at the end of the time you may go," she said with a bright smile on her face. She sat back down at her desk and helped any of the students who came up to her during their hour of studying. The time went quick and she hoped they all used their time wisely as their exam was next week.

Diana was sad to go to the final astronomy lesson of the year. She didn't know what to do after this, what if all her lessons in the following semester sucked? She had particularly enjoyed the previous lesson, and hope d the final one would be interesting as well. Unfortunately, she was soon disappointed. Today's lesson would just be a time to review the material they had covered this year. Diana knew it was smart to do so before the exam, but still felt a little disappointed. She gathered her notes and started reviewing them. When the lesson was over she packed up her things and left to return to her dormitory.

Kira came into class early, feeling both relieved and irritated for the review week they seemed to be having. It was a chance to make sure she had retained all she had learned, or at least, learned in class. But it also meant she wasn't learning anything new. She sat near the front and reviewed that year's notes dutifully. She made a list of questions that her notes brought to mind, thinking she could combine old knowledge with new before bed. Once class was over, she went straight to the library in search of new information.

Sapph came into astronomy, ready to be bored out of her mind. She didn't need all this 'review this' and 're-read that' nonsense anymore, it was driving her mad. She sat in the back of the class and spent her time doing a detailed drawing of the astronomy classroom instead. She kept a close eye on the Professor so that she would be prepared if the woman wondered too close. Thankfully she didn't seem to notice, and Sapph was able to leave class feeling much more satisfied than she would have otherwise.

Last week's class had been fun and calming. She had enjoyed getting to stare up at the stars after weeks of just listening to lectures about them. She was rather disappointed that this class was not a repeat. Gerry sat at her desk and pulled out her notes. Just looking over her notes was boring. She'd mildly enjoyed the question and answer review sessions she'd had in other classes. She gave up just reading after about five minutes and started to draw out a diagram of the solar system instead. It was a much funner way to review. She left the class thinking she might want a larger version of the diagram for her section of the dormroom wall. It was pretty cool.

Anastasie was glad that the semester was almost over but also a bit unhappy with her time at Hogwarts so far. She didn't like many of the people there and just wanted to find a friend who could understand her and possibly relate to her feelings. Feeling slightly down, Ana packed everything she needed for the last lesson of the week and headed straight to her Astronomy class. As she took a seat she was happy to hear that they would simply be revising on their own and Ana happily sat there doing so throughout the whole lesson, looking over everything she had in hopes that it would all be in the exam. The lesson seemed shorter than what it was and by the time the Slytherin knew it the professor was dismissing them. Packing up her things, Ana left the classroom without saying a word and headed to her next class with her head down, refusing to interact with anyone around her.

Jacob had enjoyed the astronomy lesson and was sad that this was the last one in this semester. For the last time this year he was walking the giant staircase back to the class. Hogwarts had been decent, it was different from what he had expected. Astronomy definitely won his favourite subject award. Jacob seated himself and the lesson was another revision one. Something they did almost every lesson now. He grabbed his notes and decided to study alone. He wasn't that much of a talker and he knew that if you studied with others it didn't work as good. Jacob looked over his notes and smiled. He had done a good job at least in this class he did. When he was done he left the classroom walking down the giant staircase for the last time this year.

Sam was nervous about exams coming up. It was her first set of exams at the school and she wanted to make her father proud of her, to convince him that she should stay at Hogwarts. She checked what she had now, which was Astronomy. Sam didn't know how the last week of lessons worked before exams, and she hoped they wouldn't learn anything new but instead revise what they had learned. She waited for Professor Harrington to speak and once she did, she said that they were to use this time to revise. Sam felt relieved more than anything. She took out all of her things and began to study, feeling that Astronomy could boost her motivation to do extremely well.

Derek couldn’t honestly believe how quickly the semester had gone by, he had loved every second of it, nothing could’ve prepared him for how good this place would be, but every day presented him with a new challenge that he could do well in, whether it was in a spell or an essay. The slytherin had known he’d enjoy it, but perhaps he hadn’t realised how much he would like it. The boy felt energised and enthusiastic about everything that magic had offered him so fat, and Derek wasn’t a huge fan of reading but he was enjoying the occasionally little bit for the classes he had. He didn’t think he would become some enthusiastic reader, but he was surprising himself with it. With that thought the boy closed over the Defence against the dark arts book and grabbed what he would need before bounding out of the dorm room. Derek walked into the history of magic classroom, his gaze shifted to the front of the room. When everyone had arrived the professor got started. Derek wasn't much of a studier, but since his exams were just about to happen he knew he needed to at least give it his best try. He studied a little, getting frequently distracted and with very little of it being covered or going in but he was smiling to himself and he didn't pass an awful hour. As soon as they could leave he did, while it hadn't been that bad, he didn't want it to continue. He needed a break from all the studying.
